First of all my wife's all-time favorite character is Pluto and we are returning to Disney to celebrate her "belated" 40th birthday. We had to post-pone our trip in order for my daughter who is in the USCG to get the time off.

I orginally wanted to have her birthday cake deliverd on the day that we checked in at the Fort Wilderness cabins but they won't deliver it.

Therefore I want to order a birthday cake at one of the character dinings that we have reserved.

I could do the following:

Option 1: Small cake @ the Garden Grill Cafe for lunch on the day we check in. (with Pluto serving it). Note: We are staying at Epcot for a while so any leftovers would need to be tossed.

Option 2: Large cake w/Pluto on it @ the Akerhaus dinner with the Princesses serving it. Note: We are leaving Epcot right after Akerhaus so the cake could be enjoyed for the rest of our trip.

My wife loves cakes and Pluto probably about equally. Also I can't change reservations because things are FILLED UP!

Questions:
1. Will the the characters serve the cake?
2. Which option would you choose?

I'm not sure what your transportation issues are but I can suggest ordering a cake from the Boardwalk Bakery and picking it up yourself to enjoy at your cabin. :thumbsup2

ive never seen a character actually "deliver" a cake & unless he was already at a character breakfast, they probably wont do it...i know for weddings a 15min appearance is over $500 each

i would do a Pluto cake at the garden grill & munch on leftovers...our room had a mini fridge & our anniversary cake lasted about 3 days..maybe more if it wasnt ate!!lol

GL & tell her happy belated 40th!!!

i don't think the characters would actually "Deliver" the cake to your table... possibly accompany the server but that's not even a guarantee... we had ressies for a fireworks cruise after dinner at CM and i had made up a scroll inviting our family and friends (who were dining w/us) to the cruise and asked that a character bring it to the table and was told "no" but our server brought it along w/some confetti and a signed photo of Mickey and the Gang... and a scrolled up piece of paper is easier to carry than a cake!!

anyway, that being said, i'd go w/the akershus dinner cake so you wouldn't have to carry the leftovers all around epcot possibly getting spoiled :)
