Birthday Cake at Yachtsman

Does anyone have experience ordering a birthday cake at the Yachtsman? DH ordered a birthday cake for me in May through Disney Floral and Gifts and it was delivered to the room. However, when we come down for his birthday later this month, I was thinking I would order one for after his birthday dinner at the Yachtsman. Would I still go through Disney Floral and Gifts or through Disney Dining? Any info on sizes and pricing would be greatly appreciated!

My DH ended up too sick for his birthday dinner (headache and heat got the best of him). I took the kids to Yachtsman anyhow, our waiter and the manager arranged to have the cake delivered to our room...

This was on the cake thread in June. The cake was very tasty...and we ate off of it for a few days (2 adults, 1 child, 2 toddlers)

I did this as well in 2010. It sure wasn't cheap, but the cake was amazing!

Thanks so much for the quick responses! I remembered seeing a Cake thread, but couldn't find it when I looked earlier. I see now that several of the sticky threads were consolidated. The cake prices through Dining seem much lower than through Floral and Gifts! I'm going to call Yachtsman tomorrow. Does anyone know how big the Mickey Mouse head cake is? The description says it serves 12, but it would be more helpful to know if it's 8" or 10" or 12" or whatever.

I should add about our cake at Yachtsman. It was $65 added to our restaurant bill so it would add tax...and if you have an automatic gratuity, it would add that (we had TiW so it automatically added). Our server was so good to us with all the problems that we had (DH was sick, so I was alone at our first signature with 3 kids) that I didn't mind him getting the 18% gratuity on everything plus I got the 20% off using the TiW, so the cost even with tax and tip was something like $68 dollars.
