Birthday Cake at resort or dinner

I have a question. I called OKW Olivias today to see about a Disney Cake for my daughters birthday next Wednesday while we are in the world and they indicated that the cake was like $14 and did not have anything disney on them nor any fancy decorations. Apparently they use an off-site non-disney bakery for the cakes there.

We are eating at Hollywood and Vine in MGM on her birthday. Does anyone know if I can get one of those nice cakes, topped with a castle or fancy sugar flowers like they have at the GF? If you do know how do I go about doing this?

I know I am asking this late, but I thought I already had this handled by calling Olivias but did not like what I heard from them.

We were in the Crystal Palace in MK in October celebrating my friends dd's birthday. This is the info I had:

Make arrangements for a birthday cake. 6" cakes are $12.50 and you do not need to pre-order. Just ask the server when you arrive at the restaurant.

Pre-Ordered Cakes;
8" Cakes - $25.00
10" - Cakes $40.00
1/4 Sheet Cake - $55.00
1/2 Sheet Cake - $80.00
Whole Sheet Cake - $120.00

All Cakes are either Chocolate or Vanilla and come with personalization. If you want to add a character there is an additional $30.00 charge. Cakes should be ordered, other than the 6" cake, 24-48 hours in advance by calling (407) 824-2165.

I could not find any information on Hollywood and Vine as far as birthday cakes, but Hollywood Brown Derby has this phone number for pre-ordering 407-560-4836... Perhaps (being they are in the same park) they can help you or get you headed in the right direction... Each restaurant has it's own thing for b-days (if they offer anything at all).


I also just found this information for Old Key West in room delivery (not sure if this is where you called, but it looks different than Olivia's as they do offer the Mickey/Minnie b-day cake):

Thanks to all for the replies. We ended up getting what is called a Zebra Cake from the Animal Kingdom Bakery for our dinner seating at Jiko. Apparently they do not have people celebrating birthdays there very often. It was a very good cake, very good quality with Butter Creme Icing. It had a zebra type designed coating over the surface of the base butter creme frosting. It was awesome and everything happened as was described to me.

I believe you just need to contact the Grand Floridian bakery atleast 48hrs prior to dining for a special order cake. I think they will deliver it to any place on property (but don't quote me on that) I made arrangements for the castle cake which was $25. it's sooooo pretty and small. It's just enough for the 5 of us to taste.
