Birthday Cake (6-inch) Price Jump to $21!

I'm a little bit confused by all this "custom" and "frozen" cake talk. In Sept, when I'll be at the GF, can I still order a cake from the resort's bakery to celebrate in-room? Or do I have to settle for a generic frozen one? Looking at all the posts about the cakes, (particularly at the GF), they look pretty customized/indivualized to me. But is that changing?

Disney sells a frozen unpersonalized 6 inch that you do not need to order in advance. This is the one that is being out-sourced and will sell for $21. Mostly these are eaten in restaurants.

As far as I know, the 8" and 10" are still available as is in-room delivery. These can be (somewhat, 10 inch offers more options) personalized by flavors, fillings and decoration. Call the GF or cake hotline to see what is available right now though because it could change at anytime, (Oh, and report on the cake thread what they tell you! )
