Birthday buttons

If I have a ps at CRT for 8:10 a.m. on an EMH day, will I be able to pick up a birthday button at the town hall before heading to the castle?

It only takes a minute, so I believe you would have enough time to go to City Hall before heading to CRT.

You could also pick it up the day before.

I've never really paid any attention to the buttons. I did notice CMs "guessing" how old the kids were. They always guessed correctly, so I thought they may be coded for age or something.
Just curious.

Some of the kids wear a pin "I'm 5 today" or something similar ... but those pins aren't given out by Disney ... Part of the guessing is just practice A given CM will probably see anywhere between 5 and 15 birthday buttons in a given day, and after a while, you can start to tell roughly how old a child will be.
