Birthday Button?

We are going to be at Disney for my daughter's 10th bday (Aug 20) and I thought I read somewhere about a button or pin that you can get for them for their special day. Does anyone have any info on this?

Yes I do!! Last july we were there for my daughter's 6th birthday. Now we left the day after but....we went to the Disney Character Store in the Premuim Outlet across the street from Disney and my daughter was buying some stuff and the lady at the cash commented on her paying for her own stuff...so I said it was her birthday yesterday...all of a sudden she walks away lol next thing I know this other lady comes over with a stool puts my daugther on it and yells Can I have everyones attention we have a birthday today it s Natalies 6th birthday can every please join me in wishing her a HP...everyone in the store sang OMG I had tears in my ears!!! I don't know if there is actually anywhere in the Park that does that but it was awesome...she also got a postcard. We will be there again for her birthday this year when she turns 7!!!!!!!!

At each park you can go to Guest Services and get a birthday button for the birthday person!!! We're doing that this year. I think I am going to go to guest services the day before her birthday actually, and ask for the button so she can put it on right when she gets up on her birthday day!!

Thanks for the information - I will visit guest services at the park we are at on the morning of her birthday. We have been to Disney two other times in Aug. that were close to her bday but never right on the day. I think I will have a gift basket delivered to our room and pick up a small cake at the grocery store on our way to the resort (we will have a rental car). Should be a great 10th birthday!

Once the birthday person (be it a child or an adult) has on their button, you will here Happy Birthday's throughout the parks from the CMs. They must be "trained" to keep an eye out for them. I had one for my birthday, and did not have it pinned on my shirt, but on the strap of my purse,and I had Happy Birthday's coming at me from all directions. DD9 had a "Happy Birthday" Tiara on in the park on her birthday, as we ate at 1900 Park Fare, and that drew lots of attention from CMs and the characters.
