birthday buddies

My Sweet 16 is coming up in less than 2 weeks. Yesterday, I saw my cousins and we were talking. I am the oldest, BTW. My one cousin's birthday is today. His older brother's birthay is the day before mine. So, the three of us were talking and the older one told me that he wanted to go see the movie Scary Movie 4. I told him I did to and maybe for our birthday, him and I would go. His younger brother asked why he couldn't go. (he really didn't want to go, he was just joking because thats how he is). So I told him that he couldn't because he wasn't my birthday buddy. He said "yes I am, my birthday's tomorrow". I said nope because your birthday isn't within 24 hours of mine. We went back and forth like that for a while. So, I was thinking, we have some interesting coincidence (at least to me) when it comes to birthdays in my family. Until my 2 youngest cousins were born, there was a boy and a girl born in May and a boy and a girl in November. When the second youngest was born, had she been born a few days later, we would have a boy and a girl in April. My cousin's birthday is a day before mine (of course I am a few years older). My brother's is exactly a week after my cousin's birthday and a day before my grandfather's. My mom's birthday is the day after my aunt's.

Anyways, now my one cousin is my birthday buddy and we tease my other cousin that he isn't special enough. We also told him that my youngest cousin's birthday is in the same month, so he is sort of a birthday buddy, but the one we were teasing really isn't because its not in the same month.

So, do any of you have "birthday buddies" in your family? Or even any interesting coincidences?

I used to babysit for a little girl that had the same birthday as me.

Then there is my finace. . . . he is the youngest of 4 kids (with a good six years between him and the next)- and the only boy. . . well, his mom really wanted a boy that last time. . and low and behold. . she had one- ON MOTHER'S DAY! (which also happened to be 4 days before her birthday too.) Talk about earning brownie points with mom! So everytime my fiance whines or complains about something silly, I say "I really am marrying a 'mamma's boy' arent' I?"
