We would like to get a B-Day Bucket for our DD who will turn 11 while at the park. We are not sure which one to order, though. She is definitely a girly-girl (likes fashion, pink, etc.), so I figured the Princess bucket was a sure thing. After looking at the pictures of them, they seem to be a little too babyish. Can anyone tell me if this is their opinion as well? :confused3 If this is the case then I think the Mickey Sorcerer would be better.

I have the princess one, and it is extremely babyish.

There's a sheet of magnets that is like the old dress up paper dolls. There's a comb and brush set that would only work for the finest of baby fine hair.

Now there's a pin with three princesses with Happy Birthday, but I don't have it on my lanyard b/c I've only been there for my b'day once!

There was also a cake which I felt was naaaaaasty, but my son liked (of course that's before we knew about his corn issues, and from his behaviour after the cake we now know it had corn syrup and/or related ingredients, so in the future that cake is useless to us too).

And the top, the pointy princess hat type of thing, kept coming up as I carried it, b/c the ribbons on it were too smooth to stay in the plastic tightening-up things (oh such a bad explanation).

I would get the sorcerer's hat, or just go a different direction and buy her a little group of things you can put together for her.

My hubby bought the princess thing b/c he knew I wanted the Pooh bucket...well the guidebook I had been reading was out of date, and they hadn't had those in about a year (and this trip was in '06!). He thought that any bucket would be better than no bucket (bad decision on his part, he should have known that since I don't like surprises, LOL).

My parents bought me the princess bucket and I agree with Molly, it is babyish. I still have it and added it to my princess collection, it was cute, but not something I would buy again..

What does the Mickey sorcerer one have in it?

DD8 liked it but it is babyish. She does play with the magnets on the fridge and she does have the bucket in her room but I won't get another one. :)

what all comes in the micky one the pic shows a few things is that it?

Make sure when you check in you remind about the bucket, we had dinner at storytellers and they forgot :(

Oh no, Audra!

Hey Audra, when we were there over Mem Day, we couldn't find those cute popcorn buckets you (I think) posted about!! I looked everywhere I could think of...where did I miss looking?

We bought ours at the popcorn cart in NOS. We haven't been back in a while, so I don't know if they're still there.

Ooh, I think I would like the Mickey bucket for my unbirthday!!! :rotfl:

I bought a birthday bucket for my son on Saturday.

He didn't care for the cake. It was ok but alone I wouldn't have bought the cake. My DS (12) loved the bucket and carried it around all morning.

The strap has Velcro so it kept falling off while in the parks so when we took a break we left it in the room.

Do you get it at the restaurant? Do you have to let them know in advance with your PS that you want one?

I bought it at Goofy's Kitchen and I just asked for it at check-in. I think there are several places in the parks you can buy one, I'm not quite sure of all the locations.

I ordered ours when I made our PS for Ariel's Grotto. I mentioned her b-day and they went over the b-day buckets, since we were doing a Princess meal I thought that would be best. I wish they had them more age appropriate though, I think DD11 would like one for her 12th b-day next month but I'm hesitant to get it for her. I do like that Mickey one though.....
