I've seen similar threads regarding recommendations for celebrating a birthday at some of the restaurants in DLR, DCA, or one of the hotels, but I'm focused more on breakfast or brunch.

I'm celebrating my birthday during a long weekend on 3/31-4/2 and instead of having a large group dinner I was hoping to do breakfast or brunch. It'll be a group of 10-12 adults total on that Sunday morning, but I want to please everyone (of course) so I'm weighing some options. I looked at the menus for Steakhouse 55 and Goofy's Kitchen but nothing really jumped out at me. I know you're paying for the experience or ambiance, but I want to make sure the food is excellent! Some of us have annual passes and others are utilizing park hoppers so the location of the restaurant doesn't matter very much.

I don't have a preference when it comes to characters, but I know some people attending might be overwhelmed by the "excitement" associated with those meals :jumping1:

I haven't done the buffet at Storyteller's, which I think gets generally positive reviews, but I wouldn't describe the food at any character breakfast as "excellent." Look at the menus for Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen and Catal. Off property look at McCormick & Schmick and House of Blues (not sure if they'll be doing brunch at the new location) at Anaheim Gardenwalk. If you're willing to go outside the immediate resort area there are lots of brunch options in Orange County.

I didn't even think of Storyteller's, thanks! We're all from the immediate area and to be honest, I considered finding a brunch spot outside the resort. I guess I just wanted a little bit of the Disney magic that goes along with celebrating a birthday! Last year my friend and I went to Ariel's Grotto (our birthdays are 3 days apart) for dinner and I was surprised by the amount of free dessert they gave us. I suppose it all depends on where you go.

Not sure about the one in Anaheim but the House of Blues has a great Gospel Brunch at some locations on Sundays.
