Silly me here feeling sorry for turning 29.... I know, I'm still relatively young, but I'm not feeling great about this b-day. Could someone give me a kick in the pants and tell me I should be happy???? Thanks! Have a great day everyone.

Seriously, 29 is great. The year I turned 30 was the absolute best year of my life!! It's all just a number anyway.

Awww, I'm sorry it's a rough one for you. My best friend found her 30th birthday to be really hard for some reason. It didn't help that her family gave her an over the hill party! Complete with age spot remover, lip hair remover and wrinkle cream!

I want to say this quietly so your thread doesn't get moved -- it's a good test for your hearing too, that has to be checked often as you get up there in years you know! Happy Birthday!!!! {{{{Hugs}}}}

I had a hard time with 29 as well. The end of a decade is always difficult.

I can tell you for sure though that your 30's are usually great. All the angst that you feel in your 20's miraculously goes away in your 30's.

I know certain ages can be hard...something you just cannot explain. Thirty was very hard for me for some reason, and haven't been bothered by a birthday yet.

....but 29 is not old even remotely...in fact, if yer keep yer perspective in life...with a little faith, and trust.....yer'll find that the pixie dust that comes yer way...makes life just keep getting better with every day, and every yarr!

Happy birthday. I have never had a problem with my b-day, it's my kid's that get me. My youngest just turned 20, and I am not taking it well. I agree with previous posters, though. Things do get better in your 30's and 40's. I am much happier now (other than this particular week) than I ever was in my 20's.
