We'll be in DL for DS (10) birthday. He "says" his favorite restaurant is the Blue Bayou (:confused3 I was SURE his favorite would include characters)! Has anyone celebrated a birthday at Blue Bayou or have any idea HOW a birthday can be celebrated there? This is the first time we've gone AND had a birthday... so I wanted to make it special for my DS.

I don't think BB does anything for b-days but I'm not totally sure. Definitely no characters in there, maybe a character breakfast would yield more birthday magic.

BB does not do birthdays, but if you let the server know, the usually will bring a dessert at the end of the meal. I had at least 10 CM's inside the BB wish me a happy birthday while I was having lunch and I am 60+.
Hope he has fun.

just did the blue bayou for my birthday march 3 and the only thing you get is a free cup of pudding with whipped cream on top.

We did go down to the park plaza inn where minnie and friends are. They have a cart outside that says birthdays and the times are 2pm and 4pm.

It is 15 bucks a person and you go in and they bring out small cakes with frosting and sprinkles on the side.

You then decorate the cakes and a birthday guy is there he is pretty funny he judges the cakes after they are frosted and well everyone wins. Then mickey and minnie come out you sing happy birthday and then dance by walking around all the tables then you get to take pictures with them then you eat you cake and your off again.

It was fun

DD celebrated her 3rd birthday at Blue Bayou. We ordered her a princess bucket and the staff sang to her. She loved her bucket and carried it every day of our trip like a purse.

We went with a group and they gave my roomie a little mouse cake thing free. Other than that I don't think they do anything.

Hey, if that's his fave place, just being there will be a nice b'day event! :)

My 3 year old just said that it's his favorite place, too, after I listed some of the disney restaurants we've been to. Since we're going for his 4th b'day in late May, I guess I'll have to make a PS for it for him!

My DS will turn 8 on the 1st day of our trip next month ~ I have a 11:30 PS for BB, the plan is to just get the cookie boat as an early dessert. Since I'm not ordering more than a dessert I won't expect them to bring him a treat on the house.

Thanks to all who replied.

I especially like the cake thing at the Plaza Inn, bluegrizzlies1! I didn't know they did that! I'll have to look into it... DS would enjoy that (he likes to design stuff and he's very competitive too!)
