During our June stay the youngest of four kids will be turning 10. The other three kids are 15, 13, and 12. What are some suggestions for making this a special day for him? It will be a Monday if that makes any difference. On or off site is cool. Maybe a waterpark, something at Downtown Disney? It will just be 2 parents and the 4 kids and would need something to make up for him not being able to have a big party with all his friends at home.

What about the Pirates and Pals cruise? It is a blast for all ages, plus there is all you can eat snacks, including cake! :goodvibes

What about letting it be HIS day? He wants to eat at Crystal Palace but nobody else does? Tough, it's his day! He wants to ride Haunted Mansion as many times in a row as he wants until he's tired of it? Yup, it's his day! He wants to go to MK for one ride and then head back for the pools? No problem, Bud, it's your day! Seriously, as the youngest of 4 it might be such a thrill for him to know that that day is all about him and what HE wants to do. Let the older sibs know that the rest of the trip won't be dictated by his desires, but that for that one day if he says jump everybody else says "how high?" (in a nice way, you know what I mean!)

In our family, we only have birthday parties every third year or so AND they're usually combined. My boys are 3 weeks apart so their birthday parties have generally been in the middle of those 3 weeks and have included friends of both boys. This year, we're having an un-birthday party next month for all three kids b/c we got a free indoor pool party for 25 kids. If we were ever at Disney for a kid's birthday THAT would be their special thing! :)

Don't forget to get him his birthday pin. Everyone will wish him Happy Birthday and he might even get a surprise or two!

This is what I was going to say. We were there for DD15's birthday when she was turning 9 and she LOVED wearing her birthday pin and everyone wishing her Happy Birthday. She felt very special. I would also agree with letting him pick where he wants to go, maybe pick his favorite restaurant if he has one. I've never ordered a cake, which I'm pretty sure you can do at most of the table service restaurants, but we've eaten birthday dinners at several places where they bring out a special dessert, usually a cupcake and sing to the birthday person - Chef Mickey's, LTT, 1900PF, Teppan Edo are a few that I remember.

We did a birthday breakfast with my kids at Beach Club complete with cake delivered by Goofy.
