Birthday at MK, Any special things we can do?

DS will be 5 on Christmas Eve. Since DH's parents have moved to FL, we thought we would do a road trip for Christmas. And while we are there, have a birthday "party" at Disney World. We've been to MK before. DS loves it. We plan on spending one day there. My inlaws live just under an hour away, so we will not be staying at a resort. It looks like it will be 6 adults and DS. We might be able to talk DH's grandparents into coming, but I know they are really worried about all the walking.

What made our last trip to MK successful was letting DS lead. He's big on rides, so we know we will be hitting lots of those. We know that Disney does a bunch of stuff for weddings, but will they do anything for birthdays? What can we do to make this birthday special? What can we do to get this kid lots of attention? We want him to float through Disney.

Hi there.

We are also celebrating our sons birthday at Disney. He will be 4 the day after we land. We have decided on a charcter breakfast at Cape May Cafe as he is totally in love with Minnie.

We are also going to let him pick out some presents on Main Street as we are travelling from the United Kingdom so we can't bring loads of presents in our luggage.

We have also booked the Family Magic Tour at MK. This is like a treasure hunt with the story of Peter Pan and Captain Hook. The children get to go around the MK looking for clues to try to find Captain Hooks hook. Its something we can all do as a family as my son is a little clingy.

We were going to do the Pirates Cruise but the children have to go on their own with CM's and i knew my son would be looking for me all the time. We are saving this for next year when he is a bit older.

We plan to have dinner on the evening at Race Rock as he loves cars and we are getting a cake from Publix to have at his birthday meal.

Don't forget to get your little boy a birthday badge so everyone will wish him a happy birthday.
