Birthday at Hoop-de-doo - Need help

Thinking about celebrating DD's 5th at HDD. I was wondering what exactly they do for a kid's birthday. We went to Chef Mickey's for DS's b-day and they did the birthday song to the whole restaurant and gave him a cupcake. Is it the same type of thing at HDD? We'll probably try to have a princess breakfast either at Cindy's or Epcot so I think it's OK if we don't see characters at dinner. Just want to know if they do anything fun for the kids. We went to HDD a couple years ago but I can't remember if they were celebrating anyone's birthday or what they did. Thanks!!

Actually the show at the Hoop-Dee-Doo has a portion where they ask if anyone is celebrating a birthday. All you have to do is raise your hand and one of the six performers will come over to your table. Once all birthdays have been recognized they will sing "Happy Birthday" to everyone.

Thanks Michele - Anyone else have info.? Do they do birthday cakes or cupcakes or is it just the same dessert you get with the dinner? Do they decorate the table like they do at some other WDW restaurants? Thanks!

we went for our son's 6th. We love the HDDR and consider it a must do whenever we go. They have a time when they make a big ruckus about anyone's birthday or anniversery, my son loved it.

We went to for my daughter's 13th birthday. She loved that they made a big deal about everyone celebrating a birthday. They don't do a special birthday dessert or decorate the table though. My daughter thought it was great.
