Birthday At Disneyland

Hey all, I'm heading to Disneyland for the first time in January as a combined belated birthday gift from my husband and to do the Star Wars half marathon. The question I have is this:

My birthday is in August, and while this is a big splurge of a birthday trip (I'm an east coast DelMarVa girl), is my window of opportunity too late to request a "Happy Birthday" pin from a cast member for the week?

I know it sounds silly, especially since I'm a 27 year old woman, but this is first, and probably only, time that I'll be in Disneyland and it was booked as a "Birthday Trip" and we just planned it the same weekend as the races.

We asked for pins on special occasion and have never been carded to verify we are entitled to the pin. It's Disney and they know we're there to have fun!

Ask for a Birthday Button and have a lovely birthday at Disneyland.

I'm no expert, but I think that if you're there to celebrate your birthday then you should get a birthday button if you want it, regardless of when your actual birthday happens.

Same here. We were there a week before my husband's birthday and I asked for a birthday button as we were shopping in DTD on our way to the airport, so that I could give it to him on his actual birthday. They didn't even remotely care who or what it was for, they just grabbed it out of the giant pile of buttons and asked if I wanted them to write a name on it or if I wanted to do that myself. No big deal.

They wont care about the actual date! We went for my twins birthday this past March. They gave them birthday buttons without any verification. They even asked DD (10) if she would like one. She said her birthday was last month and they said she could still celebrate it there! DD being the rule follower that she is, just wanted an I'm celebrating button like the rest of our group! Side note- it was our MILs for visit so she also got the 1st visit button. DD was horrified to find out later that day that MIL had actually been to the park when she was a little girl, lol!

You can ask for any button at any Disneyland store and they will give it to you if they have them in stock.

Not a problem. My friend and I went mid-January this year for our birthdays (her's is at the beginning of the month, mine at the end.) One cast member asked "Okay, so when /is/ your birthday," but they don't care. And you can request any buttons you'd like at City Hall. Back in May, I picked up a "Happy Graduation" pin to send to my brother back East, and my friend picked up "Happy Anniversary" pins to send to her parents.
