We were planning to go to Disney for my daughter's spring break next year, but now are thinking perhaps we should go for her birthday - which is in June.

Will the special treatment outweight the heat??

Anyone have a birthday in Disney with experiences to share??

We have had celebrated 3 of our childrens birthdays at Disney. Only one fell actually on the day we were in the park. The other two were within a month or so of our visit, but that didn't stop us from celebrating and making it a special event for them. We stopped at guest relations each morning and got the It's My Birthday Pin and that started the magic the would last the whole trip.

Forgot to ask Where upstate? The haet of Florida in June isn't all that bad. Of course now I live in Louisiana but New York upstate is home.

We are going in May and my daughter's birthday falls during the week. I already booked a PS for a princess lunch for her, but I haven't heard about the It's My Birthday pin. Can anyone give more detail about that? Thanks!

Personally I would go in June for her b-day. Spring Break is THE busies time to go. Disney is always a great place for b-days. dd turned 3 and we stopped at City Hall and got her a b-day pin. Many of the CM's went of their way to say Happy Birthday. We had a character meal at CRT and they gave her a card all the princesses signed and a little cinnamon roll with candle and confetti all over the table. It was wonderful!!! You can also have a cake sent to your room with balloons, etc... so when you check in your little one will be surprised. That cost but I think it is worth it.

We are in the Albany/Lake George area.

Does it rain a lot more in June??

When we went last April, it was quite cool - to the point we had to wear sweatshirts a lot.

I was reading about the birthday/fireworks cruise - looks like a lot of fun too!

i celebrate my birthday everytime. Its so unbelievably fun. This year I'll be doing it for my 14th and really, no matter how old you are its still alot of fun. Spring Break is cold and busy. June you can expect short showers everyday but dont worry, they dont last long and most rides dont close. At most restaurants you can just say that its somebody's b-day and they'll do the rest. It really is fun! :Pinkbounc

go to weather.com and type in Orlando and then go to averages. It will give you the highs and lows and precipatation.

Also - take into consideration if you are doing water parks or really want to enjoy the pool. You will better utilize them in June - April can be warm but it can be chilly at times too, esp night.

HTH

Yeah....last year we went in April and it was hot, sunny and beatiful the day we arrived. After that, it was a bit chilly. Since we plan to stay at the BC, I would rather it be nice pool weather :sunny: .

Of course, June also has the highest amount of rain....

The times that we have been in June have been really pleasant. The last time we dodged afternoon showers that didnt last long and then the parks seemed to really empty out.

Also the crowds dont seem as bad as spring break.

I am orginally from Rochester and spent every summer with family up in Watertown/Clayton/Cape Vincent/1000 Island area.
