Birthday and special occasion buttons

Are they strict with the birthday buttons?
We will be there on my friends birthday but my daughter and her son will both have birthdays within that same week too. Do they require proof of your birthday or do you think if we are honest they will give one to the kids anyway?

Also do they have many 1st visit buttons because it will be the kids first visit! :)

Thanks for your help!

not strict on bday buttons.. and yes they have many buttons.. they got thousands...:wizard:

They still had the generic "Celebrate" buttons last week.

With the launch of the Let the Memories Begin promotion, those buttons were supposed to be immediately removed from circulation, along with other What Will You Celebrate?-branded materials.

That being said, I would imagine a few places still have them if you ask around.

Yes, there are still lots of the "I'm Celebrating" buttons around - as of last week anyway. We were given 2 of them last Thursday.

Early September, I visited for a Graduation present.
The "Just Graduated" button has no character, just a graduation cap with confetti squares, stars and Mickey Mouse heads.

You can also get a button from Ariel's Grotto after eating there.
It has Belle, Aurora, Cinderella, Snow, Jasmine and "The Boss" Ariel.

Oh, boo. We ate there and were never given buttons. :( I didn't know about them, otherwise I would have asked.

We did get buttons when we ate at the Minnie & Friends breakfast though!

its a long story and not what you think but matt and i got "just married" buttons on saturday.. anyhow they have them. they are cool...no we did not get married.. matt will explain why we had the buttons...maybe in the trip report

It won't be MY birthday or first visit so I am going to ask for an Honorary Citizen!
Thanks for all your answers. :)

You can get those from the DVC cart in front of the AP center. When we were getting our AP's last year, the CM helping us told us to go as the cart guy for them. He also told us to go to customer service and ask for the marriage pack - Just Engaged, Just Married, and Happy Anniversary :rotfl:

My DH was wearing his bday and anniversary buttons while we were in line for SM when a special needs guy came up to him and started asking him all sorts of questions about his birthday and such. We were in line with him for about 15 minutes. Poor DH was so patient the whole time answering his questions, but now refuses to wear the buttons :lmao:

Same here, I got a birthday button for my brother who couldn't come with me, no problem. And I made sure I took a picture of the button with my cell phone and sent it to him so he'd know he was being thought of while I was at the park.

Good idea! We'll be at Disney over my mom's birthday.

You can get the buttons, even if it isn't your birthday. My sweet 16 was on a Monday and we went that Saturday. I got a just engaged button in honor of Kevin Jonas and his wife as well as a just married and happy anniversayr for them too. I also have birthday buttons with all four Jonas Brothers names.
