They care if you are
celebrating a birthday. Or anniversary or whatever. They don't ask WHEN the event is, they ask "are you celebrating anything during your stay?"
So get the b'day button, do whatever you want, to celebrate her birthday!
Stayed at PP, it was a perfectly fine hotel. Find the directions to get from PP to the bag check outside DL and DCA. Do NOT go out the back, along DLH, enter DTD behind the movie theater and walk ALL the way through...that's just silly. And it's what we did during our 4 days at PP, because that's what the signs said to do. Get someone other than me to describe going out the front doors of PP, turning left, walking across the street at the stoplight, go towards the GCH, go in the big pretty doors, hang a left down a narrow corridor, and then follow the herd into DTD, where you come out between Libby Lu and Sephora. MUCH shorter walk.
When we checked in to PP, they asked "are you celebrating anything?" and we said "yes, our anniversary", and she disappeared into the back and came out with a big bunch of balloons...red and pink for me and DH, and one blue and one purple for DS so he wasn't left out. And Anniversary buttons.
If we had let them know ahead of time, they would have had them ready, most likely, and we wouldn't have had to wait at the checkin desk (though this way it was a surprise what they were going to do for us).
