Birth Control Question- Yasmin

For most people, the nausea disappears after 3 months (if you can wait that long). Mine never went away. The only pills I could take were Mircette (very low Estrogen) and Micronor (no estrogen/mini-pill). I even tried the patch and I got horribly nauseous on that.

I hope for you that it goes away but it is a common side effect.

I was on Yasmine for 2 years. Strictly to regulate my menstural cycle (had tubal ligation 9 years ago). I had upset stomach for a couple months, nothing major though. It subsided and the pill worked for me for about 18 months. The last 6 months though I was having break-through bleeding and then the last month I was on it, I had my period 3 times so I went to the gyno who told me that Yasmine is a very low dose birth control and my body needed something stronger. As a side note, Yasmine costs me $20.00 a month with my health insurance plan, my new pill is only $5.00 a month :thumbsup2

2 friends of mine had severe problems on Yasmin. They both had SEVERE depression and couldn't figure out why and dealt wtih it for about half a year. When they finally contacted their doctors they found out it was due to the Yasmin. Apparently this is somewhat common. So if you start feeling off or not quite like yourself, dont' wait and think it will go away, just go check on it.

When you take Yasmin BC- the yellow pills you take for 3 weeks, the white ones are when u start your period again???????????????
