Birth Announcement Thread

Hi, everyone. I've gathered from a few different posts that a number of us on here are due any day or in the next couple of weeks. Since I've been following your stories, I thought it would be helpful if we have one thread where everyone can share their updates.

great idea for a thread. Well I am over due with baby #3 and set for an induction on Thursday. Fingers crossed he comes on his own. So much for the more you have the easier it gets.

I am currently 24.2 weeks pg. My due date is Nov 20th but I hope to find out tomorrow my csec date. It's a boy and it's not mine. I am a surrogate mother and love being able to help.

I was really confused when I read your "It's a boy and it's not mine" comment. I'm really glad you clarified in the next sentence. It is SO nice of you to carry another family's child for them.

I'm 29 weeks along...still don't know when my scheduled c-section date will be. All I was told is that it would be around 39 weeks. My due date is 10/18 with a little girl.

Ironically, my son's birthday is 10/13. So I'm really hoping they don't do it the same day.

You are a saint! Being a surrogate, in my view, is the most unselfish thing anybody could ever do. Thank god there are people out there like you!

Since I started this thread, albeit a month ago, I figured I should actually make my birth announcement:

Charlotte Reay was born on August 8, 2008 at 7 lbs, 4 ozs and 19 3/4 inches long.

I was only 36 weeks, but she is perfectly healthy. It took me a while to come back to post because I was, at the time, pretty upset about having another premature birth, but having a happy, healthy baby is all that matters.

I hope everyone else has or will have a healthy pregnancy and birth!

Congrats Tartemis! 7 lbs 4 oz is a great weight for a 36 weeker!!! Mine little guy was born at 36 weeks and 6 days and was only 5lbs 13 oz. He will be a year old on October 9th! Time really flies, Congrats to all of you lucky Pg ladies!

i had my little one on dec. 15, 2008. thomas was 8lbs at 39 weeks. i had a c-section because he was still in my ribs...if he could have been higher he would have! my dr. didn't want me to go 40 weeks with my blood pressure.

he'll be 9 months next week and i really don't know where the time has gone. i can't wait to take him to wdw in 2.5 weeks or so!

to ShellyShellfish - my dr. didn't schedule the c-section until about the week before. she did tell me from the 1st time i went to see her when i was preggers that i would be induced, but he was still to high for that. i was due 12/21 and on 12/11 i was scheduled for surgery. the 15th was the earliest she could do it and before the hospital switched the floors for maternity. that didn't happen and i ended up being the ONLY one in the maternity ward for a day or so. they were so bored they annoyed me! lol

So I have my csec scheduled for 11-14 so as long as this little guy stays put until then we shall get to see his big cheeks then.

Congrats on the births. I lost this thread and forgot to subscribe to it. Doing that now.
