I used to swear by them, even in the winter, but have abandoned them for extreme walking. I work up to 80 hrs/wk on concrete, only sitting down at lunch/dinner or in the bathroom :rolleyes1 and good walking shoes is the only thing for this now. I've had good luck with New Balance and Nike so far.

On past trips I have always worn mine. I usually bring a few pairs and switch them. I have never had a problem w/ all the walking we seem to do at WDW. I live in sandals all summer long and I think that helps. Do you seem to wear them to walk around more than sneakers or other brands?

Yes, from March to Oct I am in sandals except for extreme walking. Always have had New Balance runners so may try that. We are at BW so I can try them at Epcot one morning. Thanks!

I just got back and wore my Papillio Frankfurts a couple days, once with socks, once without. I do fine with them in the parks, but then I wear Birk clogs as house slippers and other harder soled shoes all the time. I don't know if I'd honestly wear them every day in the parks - for one, my feet somehow always seem to get wet, so I like to wear a water friendly sandal on Splash Mountain day, as wet Birks can be very bad. But, I don't think they wear my feet out any more than any other shoe/sandal for as much time as you're on your feet on concrete @ the parks.

Have fun!

Personally, I wouldn't wear them because they chafe so much when they get wet (and even the bottom of the boats in Small World tend to have water in them). Our Tevas are waterproof and hold up well. My DD7 alternates them with her Crocs. Enjoy!
