Bingo Prices

Last September on the Magic, I remember bingo prices being about $15/game/person... This past month on the Wonder they were $30/game/person...

Are they still the same on the magic? is it because the longer cruise has more time to build up the jackpot, so they can charge less?

Also, anyone know why they switch to "resetting" your card? God that's hard.

Thanks!!!

Hi

Last July I was on Med Magic Cruise and I only went to last day big Jackpot. I paid 35 dollars plus 15 dollars for big jackpot. I am sure it was 50 dollars:scared1:

didn't win any games. I glad that I only went to one bingo. That is enough.

On the Eastern 10/13/06, it was $35.00 for the six-card pack per game, and I believe $25.00 for the 3 card pack. I didn't make the last session, so I don't know how much the extra jackpot card was.

Yes, I believe this is correct. You could also purchase a 3 card pack for $25. I think. I forget the price of the 3 pack, but it was more than half the price of the 6 card pack.

However, the cards were reusable and good for all games during that session. I believe there were 4 games each session. The extra jackpot card was good only on the last game though.

Did anyone that played bingo feel that it was worth the price that they charged? How much were each game worth? I don't mind spending $35.00 per session but I also want a fair game.

Up until this year (that I'm aware of) your $35 for the 6 pack was good for 5 games. They now play 4 games for the same price.

The bingo was definitely fair -well run, on the up-and-up, etc. But a fair price? I don't know - I played 3 times - guess I couldn't have thought it was that bad. I think what is most disappointing is that it goes so fast. Each $35.00 4-game session was 3 games of something other than straight bingo (such as 4 corners, cross in the middle, etc). Then the 4th game of each session is black out.

The promise of a nice cash prize is enticing. I think the lowest prize I saw was about $90.00. The black outs are usually several hundred dollars early in the week, going up to thousands at the end.

Costs are correct: 3 card sheet for $25, 6 card sheet for $35, 4 games.

Did I think the cost was high? Yes.

Did my DD? No -- she walked out with $593 in prize money. Depends on how you look at it. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

SSB did like it better when you didn't have to reuse the same card over and over... just a little bit more difficult to keep up with now. Also, did like when the last game was always a coverall, where on this last time was just a diamond, or the like. Liked the longer anticipation of winning or losing... :)

I agree-- We won the jackpot of $5663 on our last cruise :cool1: Well worth the $35 :thumbsup2
