Bilmar Beach Resort

We wanted to stay in Clearwater Beach for a few days after our Disney vacation in April. We booked two nights at the Bilmar Beach Resort in Treasure Island. Has anyone stayed here? Thanks,

Your not going until April right? My sister and her family are flying down to Orlando tonight and tomorrow driving to stay at Bilmar on Fri. sat, and sun. We fly to Orlando Mon, and they are meeting us in Orlando to stay with us for a week at Cypress Point. I will have my laptop with me, so I will be able to ask her and let you know next week.

Have stayed there a few times, rooms are all updated with flat screen tv's. Pools are ususally nice and warm. Good spot.

We have stayed there a few times and LOVED it. Rooms were clean and updated. Prices were reasonable.
Not many restaurants in area so had to go to the hotel's but that was okay. If you have a car to get around, then this will be perfect for you.

The Bilmar is on Treasure Island, which is much closer to St. Pete beach, not Clearwater Beach (if that makes a difference to you!)

Oh really? I thought it was very close to Clearwater Beach. We went years ago and had a lot of fun at Clearwater. What is there to do on Treasure Island..any ideas? Hope I picked the right place!! Thanks!!

You'll have lots to do there! Go to John's Pass (closer to Madeira Beach), head down Central Avenue to downtown St. Pete to The Pier and go to the top for a gorgeous view, go to a Ray's baseball game at Tropicana Field, go to the Vinoy Hotel near The Pier, a beautiful historic hotel, and just look around, visit the Museum of Fine Arts or the Dali museum downtown, visit Pass-a-Grille Beach and take a walk (try The Hurricane restaurant for the best grouper sandwiches anywhere) and enjoy! The weather in April is just about perfect so have a great time!

Hey there, my sister just came to me us in Orlando after staying at the Billmar, they said they liked it, and there seemed to be alot to do, and was close to most things. They did say they found it a bit pricey, and the Paige Terrace was right next door and seemed good as well, and they priced it and it was more reasonably priced!
