Billy Hill & Hillbillies moving

I have a friend who works as an Imagineer and sometimes spills some inside info on upcoming plans. So heres what Disney is working on.

After rumors of The Billy Hill and the Hillbillies show being cancelled, current plans are to move it to the Tomorrowland Terrace (old Club Buzz) stage. Playhouse Disney in CA will take its place in the Golden Horseshoe. This will free up the current Playhouse Disney building for the return of the Country Bears Jamboree. I love that show and thankful its going to return. WDW still has it!!

Man, I hope this is an April Fools joke..Playhouse Disney doesn't belong in DL at all much less the Golden Horseshoe..where is Club Buzz..and I so hope Country Bears aren't coming back..sorry..but the last time I watched it I almost bolted to the doors :/

I agree that it doesn't fit into the theming of DL and much less that of the Golden Horseshoe, not to mention that they'd have to essentially gut the stage and completely redo it so that they can have the puppets and other props pop out of the floor as they currently do now in DCA. Plus the Country Bears would look just awkward in the fake sound stage where the Playhouse Disney show is.

Interesting information. I hope your friend can't get in trouble for it being shared on a global web site.

Club Buzz is the very old and outdated name of the stage where they currently do Jedi Training Academy, otherwise known as Tomorrowland Terrace.

Obviously, the OP's "in the know" imagineer source couldn't even provide the correct name for the venue.

Club Buzz (I still call it that but as pointed out, now Tomorrowland Terrace) is a stage out in the open area between Monorail, Pizza Port, Space Mountain etc. The stage itself disappears underground level when no entertainment is appearing. At the start of a show the stage raises up with the band or other entertainers usually already playing.
