What happened to people being able to hear other's ideas and then accept or reject them on the relative merits of the idea's that are expressed.

Frankly I think most of us are perfectly capable of making up our own minds.

The little bit that I've read about all this is only the quote I read up above. I haven't heard how he was implementing his plan, but if what you've mentioned is true (e.g. about Target, etc.), then he's going overboard with his agenda, IMO.

Kind of silly we're all arguing about this, yet nobody actually watches his show.

It's funny how there's been NUMEROUS discussions on this board about what a shame it is to no longer have Halloween Parties, Christmas Shows, etc in the childrens schools these days - YET, when this man is expressing EXACTLY what many of us have agreed upon (political "correctness" has gone too far) we decide to say intelligent things like "Jesus doesnt beleive in Bill" - nice.

Isn't Mr. Riley entitled to express his opinion? Does the 1st amendment of our Constitution still guarantee free speech or did someone change it without the rest of us finding out.

When I don't agree with the media's constant barrage on any given subject I simply turn the channel. It's real easy to do and it takes no effort.

I believe what OReiley is pointing out, that stores, town's and such are going out of their way to discourage people from mentioning Christmass. I don't think anyone is trying to make the December Celebration a Christmass Exclusive. There have been incidents of Changing the Words to Silent Night, Not allowing Christmass Parties, Suing over the display of a Nativity and Mennora(sp), Not Allowing the Wearing of Red and Green, and such. If someone want to say Merry Christmass let them what is the harm. Why not be able to have a Christmass, Channaku(sp), Kwanza party. Why does religion have to be set to the side, isn't that what this time of the year is all about. Why do the masses have to yield to wishes of a few

I have no issues with what anyone says or does on private property in regards to holidays..MIne comes when it's on government property.. I don't wish to see anything religious there,including things from my own faith,like a Menorah.

People think they have the right to not be offended (which doesn't take much). PC often runs amok.
