Bikes in HH

I'm heading down to HH in 3 weeks and I'm still trying to decide if I want to bring bikes with me. I've heard that it is a wonderful place to have a bicycle, but we are driving down from MA and if renting them down there isn't too expensive, maybe it's not worth the hassle to bring ours along. Has anyone rented bikes in HH? What is the cost? Where do you get them? Are they decent bikes? I would appreciate help in making my decision.

You can get rentals from $19 to $25 each for the cruiser type. Mountain bikes are about double but can't be ridden on the beach. Many offer discounts or coupons. For discounts, many are done if you reserve 2 weeks before you get there. We like pedals best but they are not the cheapest. Essentially all of the companies will deliver free and provide helments and baskets if desired, all provide locks. Some charge extra, others not. Note that the rates Dean mentions are for a week, or length of stay, and NOT an hourly or daily rate, as long as you rent from Disney or one of the bike companies, and not at one of the hotels.

Yes, thanks. You can do 3 day rentals but at about 80% the full weeks price.
