There are two different plans. The captain's plan is a four hour one-time use of the bikes and boats for $115. The family plan is a length of stay use of the equipment for $199. Each of these plans are for up to 5 guests and include bicycles, water sprites/mice, and pontoon boats (not surrey bikes). I know that the deal is available at BCV and VWL.

We did the Family Recreation Plan last summer, and it was great! We stayed at VWL, myself, DH, and 16-year-old DD and a friend. The girls loved the water mice and took them out practically every day. DH and I enjoyed them, too, as well as the mountain bikes. We had unlimited use of the water mice, pontoon boats, and mountain bikes for the ten days we were there. Because of the high use volume, they asked us to return the mice after an hour's use in case someone was waiting for one. Sometimes, we had to turn them in, sometimes we didn't. If we did turn in our mouse, we could usually go back out on the water within 20 minutes.

This is a fabulous way to go. On days we didn't do the parks, we'd flop around the room for awhile in the a.m., have breakfast, take a bike ride or go out on the water, spend some time at the pool, go out on the mice, and in general relax and enjoy the resort. I loved being able to slowly cruise past the Magic Kingdom, the other hotels, and the former Discovery Island. *sigh* July won't get here soon enough!

We will be staying at OKW, do they offer this deal there? What is the cost for the 13 nights we would be there?

the cost is $199 w/o taxes for your length of stay - I have just heard about the plan at VWl - it is nice to know that BCV is included too.

Am I understanding this corretly.

I am staying at OKW in April. I am able purchase the Family Plan at VWL?

I so want to do this, but couldn't find a room at VWL for that time.

Thanks,

Joe

Yep, that's right. You don't have to be staying at VWL, just on property. And it's good for your whole length of stay. We've done it a couple of times (we have three boys) and we've loved it.

If we do the B&B plan and we want to take out a pontoon and our family has five members can we allow my mom & sister to join us?

We only have five in our family, but I think you can take as many people as the boat will allow. Anyone else know for sure??

We have rented boats at VWL - how does this compare with Beach Club area? I am concerned there may not be a large enough area at BC where the boats are allowed to travel. Are you allowed to go as far as MGM?

Yes. You can take to boats all the way to MGM. It is a nice area to cruise in not as busy as the VWL area.

Someone told me that the Bike and Boat deal is a DVC perk, therefore no additional DVC discount. Is this correct, or might there be other discounts available, AP, etc.?

I was told that it's already discounted, so no additional discounts apply.

If this is a DVC perk, do you have to be staying on Points?

Can you stay at a non-DVC resort paying cash and get this plan at the same price?

Thanks again for the great info.

Joe

As I read this post, I thought that this sounds like a great deal, and a lot of fun. Just a couple of more questions. I have a family of five, so does it mean I can have 5 bikes at one time? Or even 5 Mice? If you buy the pass for the week, can you use it at both the BCV and VWL? We are going in March, and this may be something we invest in.

Thanks for the help,
Rob

Yes, you can have five bikes at once, or five mice or three bikes and two mice! Or five of anything else in combination! You can't, however switch back and forth between resorts. If you sign up for the plan at VWL that's where you have to go the whole time.
