Bike and Boat Rentals

I seem to remember there is a LOS Bike and Boat rental package...is that a DVC perk or can anyone do that? The other thing is I seem to remember that the package doesn't include Surrey Bikes. I tried looking for info on the board but I went back about 10 pages and gave up. Thanks for any help.

Anyone can do it. It is called the family plan and the best place to do it is at one of the resorts on Bay lake or Seven Seas lagoon. We were staying at OKW when we signed up for the plan at WL. Plan is for 5 people and an Adult needs to be present.

As explained here, the package is for boats and regular bikes for length of stay. Pick one marina and you'll have priveleges there the whole time. It was $199. There were some debates about where it was available, and I think it was Poly, WL, Contemporary definitely and probably Yacht/Beach. I don't think the Surrey bikes are included, they seem to be some sort of separate entity, but pontoon boats WERE included. This was open to resort guests, not just DVC'ers.

It is also offered at the GF. We've done it there as well as at the Polynesian. I believe you can do it at FW but don't know for sure. It's great!

We were told at both the GF and the Polynesian it is not available unless you are a guest at the resort.

Could be...when we did it at those resorts we were staying there. My husband signed us up and I'll have to ask him if he remembers if he needed his guest id. The marinas at those resorts are usually pretty busy so I think that might make sense.

sammie, my husband just called and I asked him. You're right. He said each time he signed up they were careful to make sure we were guests of the respective hotel.
