Bignettes in POFQ

I'm getting ready for our trip in 2 days and suddenly I began to think about desserts in Disney,I remember stopping at Port Orleans French Quarter food court for a melt in your mouth Bignette. Just wondering if anyone has tried these and if they like them like I do?

Oh I love them. DH and I stayed at Port Orleans for our first trip and made the mistake of trying them the first day. We then had to get them each morning. We stopped on our way to the bus or DH would run down to the food court and bring them back to the room while we got ready.

Unfortunately since POFQ is closed for a while I won't be getting them anytime soon.

GAG!!! I REALLY wanted these to be good. We were staying at Port Orleans and were looking forward to them. I've had beignets at Cafe de Monde in New Orleans and expected these to taste the same. They didn't. They were nasty! They were chewy and no where near as good as the originals.

I was REALLY disapointed.

Mmmmm... these are by far one of my favorite treats!!! I am just hoping I can find them in December

I thought one of the restaurants in Epcot ( maybe the bakeries??) served beignets. Does POFQ have room service- maybe it's available on that? I'll be going in late September and will be on the lookout for them- you've all got me wanting a beignet!!

The Beignets at PO-FQ were wonderful, however that resort is currently undergoing rehab and will not reopen in the forseeable future.

While you wait, you may get beignets at PO-R, and I am sure they will be just as good!

Yes, yes, yes. You can buy them at Port Orleans Riverside while French Quarter is being renovated. We did this in May/June of this year.

Thanks for the info,I'm so looking forward to having one. I thought with hearing of POFQ renovation, I would miss out, so glad I won't. We'll be leaving for Disney Tom Morrow,paging Mr. Morrow.LOL Thanks again!!

We went to PO-R this morning and I was looking forward to the beignets, but couldn't for the life of me find them. We were a bit late for breakfast, so perhaps that was the problem. I will try again a little earlier next time. I am going through withdrawl......
