Good Morning Red Team ,

Here is our official WEEK 3 thread. Lets :paw: :paw: work our way to the top!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Good Morning, REDS!!!

Let's GET MOVING!!!

I've done 44 min WATP ABS 3 mile - what about you??? It is 8:a.m. MST!

Good morning Red Team! Let the exercise challenge begin, you're off to a good start, goldcup. You should probably take a few days off now, don't want to over-exert! :goodvibes We'll be recording minutes of exercise from Wednesday morning until (and including) Tuesday night. For the challenge "exercise" is time that you spend doing something just for exercise, doesn't include walking while shopping, house cleaning, etc, even though those are great "move your body" things. Good luck!

Hugs and Kisses,

Jennifer

Hi All!

I always forget about the next week thread starting! LOL
I did my 30min of exercise this am, and inspired by Jenn I may work in a 15-20min walk this afternoon. :)

Here's to week three!!! You guys rock!
Mike :goodvibes

Don't worry, Jenn, I'll be careful. Since my DH isn't supportive, I typically take weekends off from exercise. I did some Mon, more Tues, less today, tomorrow I'll cut it back a bit more, then the 4 mi on Fri. I definitely don't want to hurt, especially w/ my ankle. Plus, the older I get I don't get sore the day after, it's 2 days, so tomorrow will hurt.

keep moving REDS!!

Blues won't stop me, Mike!

Just gonna keep on Walkin'!!

Mike Mike Mike...not me!! You should probably have a snack this afternoon instead of walking, that'll be better for you. A nice big bowl of pasta...yummy!

Goldcupmom - don't listen to him, go at your own pace. :teeth: Seriously, I get sore 2 days after too, I didn't think it could be age though! I'm sore today from Monday.

Good day, campers...
Walked four miles this morning, plus my now-daily interlude with Jorge. I'm just finishing up a brief "housekeeping" stop in the office right now, and have lawn mowing duty waiting for me at home. Gonna try and walk another mile tonight, too, since I now I won't be able to do anything tomorrow. I'm due in Philly at 7:30 a.m. on an all-day moonlighting gig, then I have to be at real work by 4:30ish. Gee, since I'll be on my feet from 7:30 til at least 3 p.m., do I get activity points for that???
Keep moving,
Laura
:drinking1

Walked 1.86 miles today and 2.36 miles yesterday....I also did part of the Denise Austin tape...man, she's kills! :teeth:

Go Big Red :cheer2:

Hello Red Team - you have a new member, bcvprincesses. She signed up after the 9/16 date so is not eligible for the DU prize but maybe she can shake you guys up a bit. :rotfl2: Just make sure to emphasize what an important part snacking plays in weight loss :goodvibes

Good luck everyone! Now go take a nice, long, snooze... :flower3:

Hi everyone,

Welcome bcvprincesses! Please jump right in. We are in an exercise challenge with the blue team. Keep track of your minutes then next Tuesday we will post our totals (wed-tues).

Tonight I did 40 minutes- Firm Super Body Sculpt. I feel really good. Lifting always makes me feel strong and beautiful!!

I am so proud of everyone. Everyone is just doing such a fantastic job. I'm especially happy to see so much exercise and moving taking place. Keep up the great work everyone. We will :paw: stomp the blue team with the exercise challenge this week.

I made the healthiest yummiest lunch to work today. It was mostly veggies in a tomato based broth with brown rice and 1 oz beef. The problem is I left it sitting on my coffee table. I was a good girl though and went to Chick-fil-a and got a chargrilled chicken sandwich. Tomorrow I am planning on having a totally OP lunch- Yummy Sushi! We are having an employee briefing tomorrow and rumors are floating about a lot of lay offs. So a few of us planned a nice lunch so we could get out of there and clear our heads. I'm fairly certain I'll be ok as far as my job goes......but you know how life works. I'm not going to let this stress derail my hard work. I have noticed I've been snappy tonight to my family though. I'm going to go appologize now. I think I just feel a bit stressed. I will make it through this. I haven't told DH yet since so much is up in the air about his work at the base since the BRAC Commission technically closed his base. Ok, enough downer talk. I will keep my head high and think positively. (by the way, DH should be ok since there was a last minute reprieve with the BRAC commission because of the govenor winning a lawsuit saying they couldn't desolve a PA Air Nat'l guard base).

Even though I may not be the biggest loser week to week, I won't let you guys down on the exercize part. Since joining the Sept. exercize challenge, I've worked out about an hour for 4-5 days/week, which is huge for me! I'm in the best shape I've been in for a long time--and I think some of the slow weight loss is because of muscle gaining through working out. So. . .count me in to seriously contribute to the exercize challenge!

Morning Everybody! And Welcome BVCPrincess!!!

First things first, ysterday Richard Simmons and I sweated to the oldies for 20 minutes. Well , he sweat a lot longer than me.....but I will gladly take my 20 minutes. Was hoping to go for anice walk, but the rain kept me from doing just that.

Mel, here is hoping that your funk gets better! I too stuggled with things yesteday. I did much better than I thought I would, but messed up some to as well. I had a lunceon that I had to go to, (one that I planned) so I know I was up against brownies and chips. I did great at lunch! I gave my brownies and chips away. I just ate my turkey sandwich and a little bit of pasta salad. When I got home was starving. Found some good food choices and STILL found myself hungry. Went to dinner and ate well. Made good food choices and would you beleive I still ate MORE when I got home? Yep, I did. Again, these were better choices than I would make in the past....but I ate.... and ate....and ate, a lot! I had 2 cupcakes....about these cupcakes...they are the BEST! You take a cake mix, any flavor, I think carrot cake works best.....and a can of pumkin.....mix and bake! Yum! And for frosting, I top with a bit, OK a bunch of cool whip free. Without the cool whip they are 2 points. Anyway, I had a few of those yesterday, a piece of sugar free chocolate, a  a tomatoe and goodness knows what else. I ate, and ate and ate. I was happy for my good points, but disappointed in my bad points. It seems I woke up again with teh same funk..but today is a new day. I have some good stuff packed for lunch and I am going to make sure I have a good breakfast. I also think I don't have much left in terms of snacks at work...so it really can't be a bad day. I think I need to go grocery shopping though and replenish the fruit and veggie stock. That always helps!

Anyway, I am off and r unning to get ready for work. Just wanted to check in!

Mel, hope your day goes well. I will be thinking of you today! Enjoy your sushi and check back later. I am looking forward to hearing you had a good day AND looking forward to sharing my good day with all of you!

If the weather is poopey again, me and Richard are going to be hanginng out....if not, I am headed out for a long walk!

I am sure I will check back often today! I know I am going to be needing some help! To those struggling, keep up the good work.....to those who are rocking, keep posting....your are REALLY encouraging me!!

Kepp moving folks! Onward and downward!!

GO BIG RED! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Count me in for 50 min on the bike. I'll try to ride again later. I'm on my way to read aloud to a kindergarten class at my son's school.

Melanie I hope you're better today. Our National Guard base is ok with the Brac but it was all we heard about for a long time. I love to see the C130s fly over my house.

Liz way to go on the eating. You made much better food choices than in the past, right? Be proud of that. I've made those cupcakes with chocolate cake mix. They are yummy. Good for a quick breakfast.

Have a great day everyone!!

Marty

Thanks for the welcome. GO RED TEAM :cheer2:

I did my power 90 exercise tape yesterday for 45 min and thought I was going to die.

I started weight watchers and this is my second week. Last week I lost 5 3/4 pounds. It is really funny now that everytime I think about eating something, I think to myself how many points that it would take and would it be worth it. I never realized how much junk I ate before without even thinking about it.

I am so glad I found this thread because I need all the help I can get especially for the exercise.

Good Morning Red Team! You have another new member, njcarita...make sure she takes it easy this week and does lots of relaxing... :grouphug:

If anyone sees the Tag Fairy buzzing around please let her know we have 4 new challengers (2 each per team) who would love to be tagged!!

Have a great day. :wave2:

BTW Red's - I noticed a few of you posted about Jorge Cruise...I love that guy! His eating plan has been so great for me and easy to incorporate into my life. I love the snack...having that lets me take my attention off of being "starving" to knowing I'm going to eat in 1 1/2 hours or whatever (I found that's usually when I start thinking about eating again). I did the book (I forget what's it called) for people w/over 30 pounds to lose and was SORE for a few days, but it helped me to get where I am now. I also read and follow the idea behind his 3-hour diet. I think he's great, realistic and motivational. Just had to add that! :goodvibes

Good morning!!

Welcome to all the newcomers :sunny:
I did okay yesterday. I had dessert last night (brownie w/ice cream) but it was split between 4 people. I did 65 minutes of intentional exercise (walking/aerobics).

Have a great day!!!
