Biggest Loser 9 Spring challenge -- Part 2! HERE WE ARE! :)

Corrina--:grouphug: I think it's awesome that you are throwing the party for the kids.

Flipflopmom--glad the fieldtrip went well. I understand what you are saying about the more you lose the bigger you feel and the other comments. I've been thinking a lot about when I make it to my goal, will that be "good enough." And will I ever feel good enough? I love going to the Y and working out, but I'm starting to think I'm replacing a food addiction with a gym addiction. Thanks for sharing. Since I'm thinking a lot of my issues still stem from some childhood messages I haven't dealt with, I'm thinking about writing a letter to my Mom even though I know I won't mail it. I've done this in the past with things, and while it's really hard, it can be really helpful.

Yesterday's qotd--A couple years ago after DH had a really hard year at work, we took a 10 day trip to FL (which is long for us). The first couple days we went to Cocoa Beach and the Brevard zoo. It was December, but the weather was gorgeous. I had found this little park online where they said the Manatees go in winter. (I can't remember where it is.) We were going to go kayaking but I chickened out, I'm terrified of alligators and snakes. Anyhow, we went to the park and there were manatees everywhere! It was so cool. We just stood and watched them. It was magical! The next day it was on to Disney. Great question!

I am officially setting a goal today. I am going to re-evaluate when I get to my goal, depending on how the last 10 pounds come off and how I am feeling. My lowest adult weight (when I was 20) was 135. I am setting a goal of 150--which puts me solidly at a normal weight bmi.

So as of today, because I had a good loss this week, I have 18.4 pounds to go to goal. Since I lose pretty slowly, I am hoping to make goal by September for my 43rd b-day!

This group is great. Thanks you all for all your support. I get such inspiration from everyone. Have a great day!

Good Morning Everyone!

My name is Christina and I will be your coach for the week. Lots of people call me CC (like See See, but written CC), hence my user name. I have been trying to lose weight since Sept. 2008. It has been an on and off battle. I was doing very well and then got put on a medication that causes major weight gain. I managed to lose some of that weight by being very diligent even though I was still on it. In the end, I couldn't stand the med's side effects and my doctor recommended switching it for another one, but in the same class. I gained like 5 pounds within a week. It wasn't pretty. So, after lots of debate, I took myself off most of my meds. It probably wasn't the brightest thing to do, but I did it nonetheless. I've also stopped working with this doctor and will be seeing a new one at the end of May.

On top of the meds, I am a binge eater/emotional eater. It was a rough week. I am determined to have a loss for the week starting today. I couldn't wake up this morning so weigh-in will be tomorrow morning. I am hoping to gain no more than 3 pounds. As you know, my sister is getting married in mid-May and I am her maid-of-honor. Tomorrow is my first fitting. I have decided to continue to attempt to lose weight and pay for additional alterations if they are needed. I would love to be under 140 for the wedding. Depending on weigh-in tomorrow, that would require me to lose about 10 pounds in 4 weeks. I know what I have to do to achieve that goal and I'm determined to achieve it.

Ok, enough about me. Here is today's QOTD: Do you wear/use a pedometer? If so, do you think it helps you on your weight loss journey? If not, is there a reason why you don't? Do you think that it could help you on your journey?

I wear/use one when I remember. I get in a lot of steps at work and I like to know the total number. I also like to compare weekdays when I move a lot to weekends when I am not so active (outside of exercise, that is).

Have a great day and week!

Welcome CC

I do not wear a pedometer. I've never really thought about it, but exercise has never been my strongpoint. I'd rather watch what I eat then exercise. :confused3

Good morning everyone!

Thanks again for coaching last week, my3princes! And :welcome: to our new coach this week, cclovesdis! :cool1:

Please be sure and PM those weigh in numbers to LuvBaloo today. And if you enjoyed the pamering COW be sure and let donac know. They both work hard for us and keep track of our numbers!

Well, it's be a rough week. I made good choices at dinner, so I'm back on track. My WW week begins tomorrow and it will be a good week. I've decided to go ahead and try to lose weight even after my fitting. I'll pay for more alterations if I end up needing them. I will return to exercising. The month is half over and I've only totaled 120 exercise minutes. My goal is 900! Oops. Better get on that.

Sounds like a great plan! :thumbsup2 I'm sure you will look lovely at your sister's wedding. :bride:

Ann, that BL clippie looks marvelous on you! :goodvibes

Sounds like a great day with your DD, princessbride6205. I hope that she adjusts to her new daycare soon -- it is so hard on Mom.

My kids are coping well and I think we're going to be OK. We're going to start them in another school as soon as things are in order with the new school, and there are going to be some positive changes for our family because of this change in plans. I feel a little disloyal appreciating those positives, but better that there be good things than that this just be one big load of bad.

It's not a very Biggest Loser-like thing to do, but my kids have been talking about an end-of year-all-school ice cream party for months now that was mentioned at the end of the Pennies for Patients service project. So help me, I stepped right up this afternoon and volunteered to throw a giant all-school ice cream party tomorrow afternoon. I don't want the last thing the kids remember from this fantastic little school to be sadness and gloom. I will not go crazy, I assure you.

I'm glad that you are able to organize an ice cream party today for your school. What a nice touch to what would otherwise be a sad day! :flower3: Have a great time! And I'm very impressed that you are not letting the stress deter you from your goals! :cool2:

Good weigh in this morning - down 4 pounds, so I get my 35 pound clippie. :cool1:While all of it wasn't since I joined BL, I am still getting that clippie!!!! It has all been since Jan. 18.

Wow! That is fantastic! :thumbsup2 You lose it, you get the clippie, doesn't matter where. Don't wear yourself out getting things put together before your oral surgery. You need your strength to recouperate. :flower3:

Gonna suck it up and accept a 2 pound gain for the week, mainly because I'm not feeling up to a workout this morning. I plan on getting work in all weekend and back on target next week. It's vacation week so I will be home mostly. We're going to the movies on Monday and plan on bringing my own popcorn though the rest of the family can have the other popcorn. I just can't eat the movie popcorn anymore. We'll also eat lunch out that day so I will have to watch my calories and put in extra time.

Saying goodbye to my 45 clippie for now. I will get it back in the not so distant future!

Rainy here today, hopefully soccer games will get canceled tomorrow and then we have company coming in the afternoon!

Bummer about the clippie but it's happened to all of us. I know that you will have it back in no time at all! :thumbsup2

corinnak, princessbride6205 and jenanderson, please be sure that someone gets a picture of you ladies if you all meet up at the race tomorrow. Good luck to all of you! :cheer2:

That's a great plan, Rose! :thumbsup2 There will be a summer BL challenge that will go right through the end of August so that should help you reach your September goal. :cool2:

I do wear a pedometer occassionally -- it is very interesting when I do. The days I work and am chained to my desk I walk so little. Week-ends I can really rack up the numbers. One of the best times I wore my pedometer was last summer at DL -- walked 11 miles one day! :hippie: When I think of pedometer success stories I think of donac. I know that she is busy with grading but hopefully will be on later.

It was a good weigh in today. Down 2 lbs and got my 30 pound clippie! It's been a long time coming.

Have a great day everyone and don't forget to PM those weigh ins!

I have been thinking a lot lately about a comment pjilla made a week or so ago, about how easy it would be to become anorexic, or she can see how it happens, anyway. I've been having some really negative thoughts lately, it's almost as if the more weight I lose, the bigger I seem to myself? :confused3 I am little worried about these thoughts, and trying to figure out why I am having them. Some days I catch myself thinking "I wonder how few calories I could eat today?" Of course, dinner usually takes care of that, but it still worries me a bit. Anyone else ever experience something like this?

I am really stressing right now, so I am hoping not to go overboard with stress eating. In the next 6 days, I have 2 papers to finish, 3 more trips to gymnastics, 2 days of lesson plans to complete, a house to get clean, grocery store run for "soft foods" after the teeth pull, ice packs to make, childcare arrangements for my kids, finish my end of six weeks assessments, get grades in the system, prescriptions refilled, hopefully 10 miles to run, calls to make...

I can totally understand everything you are saying about how your mind plays games with you in regards to your weight. I am STRUGGLING (as you all know) with these last pounds.... I've been yo-yoing within 7 pounds of my goal for MONTHS now. And on days like today (yup, I had a gain AGAIN), I feel absolutely HUGE! But I need to remember that I am NOT huge!! Two years ago I would have KILLED to weigh in the 130's!!

On top of that, every since I pushed my goal weight down to 130, I've been playing with the idea of maybe even dropping it to about 128.... I've NEVER been in the 120's in my ENTIRE life and I can't IMAGINE that it would look like to see that number on the scale.... but really, how much more am I going to lower my goal??? You could play this game forever.

It is definitely a scary thing to think about... the possibility of falling into that psychological hell-hole of anorexia. I figure as long as I am eating my daily points EVERY DAY and keeping up my healthy exercise, I'm doing okay. But if I ever start playing with eating significantly LESS than my daily points, I will need to do some mental self-exploration to be sure I'm not falling into a bad situation.

I know that the next few weeks will be tough for you with your dental surgery and such. I hope it all goes well and you can recover quickly. It sounds like you are going into it well prepared.

Morning! Thanks for coaching!

QOTD: I've never worn a pedometer. I own a few that I have picked up over the past few years.... a really nice one from Brookstones, another one from Target. I should try to remember to wear it so I don't beat myself up on the days when I only get in a 30 minute workout. I SHOULD dig it out and wear it at WDW on my next trip. That would be a BIG eye opener. I've decided that I am NOT going to try to fit in a formal workout any of the four days of the trip. The schedule is just TOO TIGHT. It is definitely a commando-style trip and as it is we will probably be averaging 4-6 hours of sleep per night! No WAY am I getting up an hour earlier for a workout!

I know by Monday of the trip DS and I will be living on adrenaline, sugar, and caffeine, but it will be SO worth it!!

Welcome CC

I do not wear a pedometer. I've never really thought about it, but exercise has never been my strongpoint. I'd rather watch what I eat then exercise. :confused3

That was me for YEARS.... I did WW so many times over the years and NEVER exercised. I always said I would rather eat less. I hated exercise. But I hit my 40's and I KNEW that calorie counting alone wasn't going to cut it any more. Plus, when I started this journey again, we were preparing for a WDW trip and I didn't want to be exhausted from the walking. So along with counting my points, I started walking. And it is amazing how far I have come with regards to my attitude about exercise. So you may have a change of heart in time to come. :)

Happy SNOWY Friday morning all! :eek:Yup, I awoke this morning to heavy wet snow falling... coating the grass, flowerbeds and roof. It has stopped snowing now, but there is still a coating out there. Poor daffodils are all tipped over from the weight of it.

DS is home sick today. Not sure HOW sick he is, but he was complaining about a stomachache and nausea last night and again this morning and I KNOW this is going around the schools. So I let him stay home. He ate breakfast with gusto, so either he wasn't really sick, or it passed quickly! He isn't the type to fake it, so I do think he really had pain this morning.... but I probably should have pushed him to go.... oh well.

Not a nice number on the scale this morning. I need a head-bashing smilie to use here.:headache: I am going to do another weigh-in tomorrow morning to see if there is any change, so I am not posting an official weight today. I know that I had a difficult time last weekend... we had a big meal on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I didn't THINK that I used all of my Flex points, but maybe I did (I did track and journal everything, but many things I had to guesstimate the points on). But I stayed well within my daily points every other day this past week. I'm thinking of changing to either counting CALORIES for a few weeks or changing to the WW core plan for a few weeks, just to change things up. It is SO crazy that I can't lose these last pounds!!

I've got my day planned to do some power cleaning and then on to the scrapbook table. I've done 30 minutes of circuit training this morning, but I'm leaving the exercise clothes on and maybe I will hit the TM for a bit this afternoon. TTYL......................P

Here is today's QOTD: Do you wear/use a pedometer? If so, do you think it helps you on your weight loss journey? If not, is there a reason why you don't? Do you think that it could help you on your journey?

I used to wear one but the battery died. I have an extra battery for it but I keep forgetting to put it in the pedometer.

I hope everyone is having a good day. I lost 4.2 this week so I am a happy camper. I know it can''t happen like that every week, but after pretty much staying still on the scale last week, I am glad to see a good number. I am 1/2 way to my goal of 30 pounds lost by June 17th, when we go to Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I feel like maybe I really CAN do this!

I hope you all are having a strong positive day. Its hard for me with the weekend coming up. I always wanna throw everything out the window on the weekends and do whatever I want. Tonigt is my treat night and I am having some yummy gooey pizza. I told myself I could have it if I did good all week and I cant wait. The girls and I are going to watch "Secrets of the Mountain" tonight in NBC. It looks fun and I love pizza and movie night with my naughty girls! They were so proud this morning when I told them I lost weight! Too cute!! :cutie:

Have a great productive day guys and as always THANK YOU for being here!!!

Good weigh in this morning - down 4 pounds, so I get my 35 pound clippie. :cool1:While all of it wasn't since I joined BL, I am still getting that clippie!!!! It has all been since Jan. 18.

Along the same lines as my previous thoughts, I am beginning to wonder about my goal. 2 months ago, I did the happy weight calculator and said "no way I'll ever get to that." Well, I am less than 30 away from it, so now I am finding myself wondering if I can go lower. My "happy weight" was 156, and now I have set my goal to 150. I know that's still a big number, but I am framed like a linebacker. I am now thinking what will I look like at 155? 150? 145? I just don't know...
This is a tough one. I think that I love food and think about food too much to be anorexic or limiting my calories too extremely. However, I have struggled with my goal weight not looking thin enough. I set my original goal based on a BMI of 22 and knowing that it was a weight where I had been fairly content. Once I got to that weight, though, I still didn't fit into pants from those happy weight days. I revised my goal another 5 pounds lower and did achieve fitting back into those pants. I would still like to be thinner, but I know that I could not maintain a lower weight with my current lifestyle (FT desk job, hour commute, toddler mom, etc). My current goals are maintaining my weight and working on my body image.
I would advise keeping your goal between 150-156. Once you reach it, maintain there for a few weeks or months to determine if that's your happy weight.

Hi, CC! Thanks for coaching! It sounds like you have a good plan for the next few weeks. And whatever you end up losing, you will be a lot lighter at the wedding than if you had never started this journey. ;)

Friday QOTD: Do you wear/use a pedometer? If so, do you think it helps you on your weight loss journey? If not, is there a reason why you don't? Do you think that it could help you on your journey?
I got one for Christmas and liked wearing it. Numbers are fun. :) But I lost it on the way home from Disney at the end of January.
It did help me become more aware of my non-exercise movement during the day. But I found I was only then doing exercise that got me more steps, instead of strength training, bike riding, etc. So I'm not sure if I will replace the pedometer or not. If someone gave me one for free, I'd keep wearing it. This feels silly because they are relatively inexpensive, but purchasing another one while I'm not sure I need it is the hurdle. I've been wanting a cool GPS watch for my outdoor runs, so I don't know if I'll save for that or just get a pedometer (which I have found inaccurate for running).

Corinna & Jen - I'm not sure what I'll be wearing tomorrow, but I don't think you'll be able to miss the big blue BOB stroller with a 2.5yo girl inside!

Thanks Dona for the COW pampering week.:cool1:

Thanks for coaching last week my3princes!:cool1:
Thanks for coaching this week cclovesdis!:cool1:

I have tried it and found it more annoying than helpful. It got in the way at work as it was a clip on one and would get caught in my reflective vest. I've thought about getting a flat one that could go in my pocket but haven't gotten around to it.

:cool1: to all who are seeing good results and :grouphug: to those who are struggling with any issues.

I did my weigh in today and was happy to see a 1.1lb loss:banana: but then I entered in my result and saw it was a gain. Then I figured out that I made a mistake in last weeks number and last weeks gain was actually bigger than I thought. :guilty: I am currently 0.2 higher than when this challenge started, but I stayed on plan last week and will continue to move forward.

I'm feeling the positive vibe you are sending out! I needed it today... Thanks! And great job with the weight loss!.............P

:headache: I'm sure that is how you are feeling about the miscalculation in the weight. Keep on plan and you will see a legitimate loss in no time! I know how you feel.... I didn't remember last week's weight precisely, so when I stepped on the scale this morning I knew it was a gain, but it was more than I thought... GRRRR. But I was feeling really bloated and icky the last day or two... intestinal or hormonal, not sure which, but I'm already feeling better now, so hopefully a re-weigh tomorrow will look better. I think I've only ever claimed a "do-over" once in the last two years, so no guilt about this.

Icky freezing rain falling here now. What a miserable day. I've spent too much time here on the DIS.... I am checking my flight prices and car rental prices as often as possible now as the trip gets closer, hoping to get a better price, but nothing yet. But I did find out that Disney has gone back to offering a prepurchase on the Photopass CD even for off-site guests, so I purchased that today! That way DS and I will have plenty of pictures of US, not just one or the other!.

Anyhow, after spending so much time here, I have NOT completed all of the housework I intended... but my master bath is so clean you could eat off it! And the laundry is caught up (including the folding and putting away stage). Tonight's dinner is planned and ready to go... and we have an obligation-free weekend (including tonight!!)! Such a rarity for us!

I'm gonna check the budget board one more time and then head to my scrapping table!.....................P

Good afternoon everyone. I brought a bag of papers home to grade this weekend. I have nowhere to go tonight. Tomorrow I have to work a boy scout event until 11 and then dh wants me to stay at the event for a while. I probably won't stay long. I want to finish my grading and get some quilting in on my latest project.

QOTD: Do you wear/use a pedometer? If so, do you think it helps you on your weight loss journey? If not, is there a reason why you don't? Do you think that it could help you on your journey?

Ii have been wearing a pedometer off and on for a while. In dec I started to keep track. Since Jan 1st I have only missed one day. I put in my pocket when I get up in the morning and take it out as I go to sleep. At an average of 2000 steps per mile I have accumulated 530 miles since then. I have been keeping a log since Dec on a spreadsheet. I have also been doing averages for each month. Each month I have increased my daily average. I have not lost a lot of weight but I have not been as good with my diet as I should be but when diet and walking are in place that is when I have lost weight.

I got the idea from Dr. Oz. His book suggests that you should walk at least 10000 steps per day. But some days may be more and some days will be less but average it out for the week.

When I journal my food (this is why it is on the COW this week) and get in my steps (and I am working towards 12000 per day for this month) I am hoping for a good loss even though I lose weight very slowely

I have a pedometer that is flat and just drops into my pocket. It is great because I can wear it anywhere.

Off to make myself some dinner and then get my bag out of the car and get some work done. Have a nice evening everyone.

Welcome CC

I do not wear a pedometer. I've never really thought about it, but exercise has never been my strongpoint. I'd rather watch what I eat then exercise. :confused3

I lost a good amount of weight without exercising. I actually think that for me, at least, exercising is more important for my mood than my weight loss goals. Although, I guess it's cylical. I lose more weight when I'm in a good mood.

Good morning everyone!

I agree with you. Eat your daily min. points. WW says you won't lose if you don't eat your min. Good luck this week!

How did you know that your battery died? I have bought so many over the years. I never considered that it was the battery that was creating the problem. I just figured I dropped it too many times. LOL.

Congrats on the loss and getting so far in your goal. You CAN do this!

Thanks for sharing that with us. I love your suggestion about maintaing for a few weeks or even months.

Yeah for staying OP!

Way to go getting all those steps in! I like the sound of averaging your steps for the week. I'm willing to take a guess that a lot of us/people in general end up with great averages, but some "off" days.

Friday QOTD: I wore it one day on a trip and logged 9 miles that day at Disney. I just found the pedometer while cleaning so I will try and recalibrate next week.

Enjoying my Friday raspberry white Russian! I apologize for my typing! Having homemade chicken drumsticks. Already had some Trader Joe's Pot Stickers! One client today! At the last minute! Cleaning for company tomorrow! Drink went right to my head! Guess I should've eaten more today!

Watching BBC series right now! K9! Really cute! Kids like it! Having friends over tomorrow to watch the first 3 episodes of the new Dr. Who!!!!! Really excited for tomorrow!

Redwalker is in VA now! It was almost 90 there and only in the 40s here! 38 here now! OMG!

Have a super weekend everyone!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the support!

Good Evening Everyone!

Hope everyone had a great day! Hope you have a great weekend as well!

I am definitely planning to participate in the COW this week. I hope many of you will too. Thanks Dona!

Today turned out to be a very OP day. I had tacos made with ground turkey for dinner. I ate it mostly salad style with lots of veggies. It was very filling and very low in points. We had planned to have fish tonight, which would have kept me from using my WPA, but no biggie. That's why we have it.

Saturdays are my day to sleep in. I'm fighting a cough/cold so I have a feeling that I'll be getting a lot of sleep tonight. I'm going to go ahead and post tomorrow's QOTD now.

Sat. 4/17 QOTD: What is one exercise/sport, etc. you have always wanted to try and/or wish you fit more into your schedule?

I love to swim and wish that the closest indoor pool was closer. The cost is a little steep, but would be worth it if the pool was closer. I would love to try a spinning class. A few years ago, I had a group of friends join an adult soccer league. That sounded like fun, but it wasn't near where I live.

Sat. 4/17 QOTD: What is one exercise/sport, etc. you have always wanted to try and/or wish you fit more into your schedule?

I wish there was a place here to train to scuba dive. We did it on our last vacation to Cancun and it was da bomb. We would love to get certified and spending time in the water with all the equipment and using the fins would be great exercise :goodvibes

Sat. 4/17 QOTD: What is one exercise/sport, etc. you have always wanted to try and/or wish you fit more into your schedule?

I always wanted to try a full yoga class and I finally did it last Nov and I love it.

I have to look at the college in town to see if I can get a pass to their pool. We had a pool but the liner ripped last season and dh doesnt think we got enough use out of it. Even though a few years ago I used it almost every morning to do lap no one else used it so I think it going to go. It would be cheaper to get the pass to the college than to pay for a new liner.

Please send PD to ds1 tomorrow. He is running in his first half marathon. I will not go see him but his gf will be there. I never thought he would even be running. Ds2 was the runner in family and is built more like a runner than ds1. But he has trained and we know even if he can't run it all he can walk parts of it. A few weeks ago he went out for a long run and planned to do 12 miles. He got to mile 6 and fell and then had to walk back so we know he can do 12 miles.

I am off to work a boy scout event this morning. Monmouth Council is celebrating the 100th anniversay of Boy Scouts with a camporee. They are setting up a midway with booths and I will be working at the popcorn booth. I volunteered to help set up figuring it would be a lot of lifting and walking. Then dh wants me to stay for a while and visit the event. This afternoon I have a bag full of papers to grade because grades are due on Wednesday.

Have a great day everyone.

Also wanted to let you and princessbride6205 know that I have decided what I am wearing on Saturday. I will be in a plain white running shirt (long sleeve), a black running skirt and knee highs (they are white with black, gray and pink stripes). I will be with DH who is 6'4"...no clue what he will be wearing. I would love to meet you guys! We are planning on running and trying to keep a pace of 10:15 or 10:30 minute/miles.

I can't wait to get to that pace! Good luck to you three this morning!

Lots of :goodvibes going his way. One day, I'll do a half. Hope he didn't get injured in his fall!

pjilla - SNOW? FREEZING RAIN? YUK! It has been really warm here lately.
Hang in there. Those 7 pounds have been with you for a long time, they like it there. Maybe you need to punish them so they don't want to be around. Maybe they'll come off while you are in Disney, not worrying about them? I am getting excited for your trip for you. BTW, I can't imagine ever being in the 130s, so that is just flat awesome to me!

Where in VA is redwalker? I'm at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mtns, Western Side, and I think it was hotter here yesterday than in Orlando! Yes, I am a geek and have the Orlando weather on my itouch!

Anyone ever heard of Isagenix? I think it's like a meal replacement/cleansing thing. There is a fast growing group of people here taking it, losing something like 20+ pounds a month. The idea is appealing to me, but I want to lose weight in a manner I can sustain. I don't really want to be chained to buying a product for the rest of my life. It does make me a little jealous to be working so hard, happy to lose half that in a month, and it seems rather effortless for them.

QOTDs: I don't wear a pedometer. Don't know why, I've just never bought one? ;)

A sport near me - right now Zumba is a big craze, but I just can't fit it in my schedule. I hope this summer I can be with my girlfriends for a class or two, I've done some on you tube and they look like a blast. I would love a pool nearby, and a running trail, not just the track at the park. It's pretty, don't get me wrong, but I'd love to try to run through the woods.

Lots to do today! Have a great one!

I used to wear one but the battery died. I have an extra battery for it but I keep forgetting to put it in the pedometer.

Me too! That's an easy way for me to answer the QOTD. :) I do like my pedometer thought b/c it keeps me aware of my steps. I wear that and my bodybugg.

Sorry I've been MIA, rough week and next week will likely be the same. I'm going back to read through posts.

I walked 4.5 miles while I waited for my cars oil to be changed. It was a tough walk since it was where I had walked with my furry friend. I did it though. Hoping for a - in my weight tomorrow..we will see.
good luck everyone!

:hug::hug::hug:

I've planned my dinner menus all the way through my trip in May. Hopefully that will make the next few busy weeks a bit easier.

Talk to you all later.............P

I am so impressed and inspired! Because of this I am going to go through my freezer and pantry and do the same!

Ooh! I have a few minutes, so I'm going to be specific! My visits to WDW always include a trip to DTD :lovestruc. I love to arrive, particularly on the boat from POR, and just stand there for a minute and take it all in. Happy sigh. Then I am a woman on a mission (if I'm really lucky, I'm by myself and I can take as long as I want). My first stop is usually the Christmas :santa: store, where I pick up a new Belle ornament, and see if there's anything else we can't live without ;). Then I head into Once Upon a Toy for Star Wars stuff for ds. Sometimes I'll come across something we've never seen before. We're particularly fond of the Disney characters as Star Wars characters figures :yoda: . Just for grins, I stop into the $10 and below. You never know what might be on sale!

By this time I need nourishment to continue. A quick stop at the Earl of Sandwich for The Caprese - sliced fresh mozzarella, roma tomatos, fresh basil and drizzled balsamic vinaigrette, and I'm refreshed and ready! Next I have to go into Tren-D, and pick up something! I've found great bracelets, cute bags, and I love just looking at all the stuff the cool girls are wearing! :rotfl:

Whew, that was hard work. I think I need another something sweet to perk me up. Time for The Ghirardelli World Famous - Hot Fudge Sundae - Two scoops of vanilla ice cream overflowing with freshly homemade hot fudge, whipped cream, chopped almonds, and a cherry!

What is that I spy? Could it be Eden, Mecca, the Promised Land? Yes! It is the World of Disney Store! Spit on me, Stitch! :stitch2: Gotta grab a basket, 'cause I know I need what they have! I always get a pair of earrings, a snowglobe, and check out the ladies' section. And I have been known to wander through the stuffed characters and enter the Princess area. I'm loyal to Belle, but I'm also on the lookout for something cute with Tiana. I made it to the exit -- now I have to wander through the Lego store just to check out the displays. I may need a soft pretzel and lemonade about now...I think I'll sit and watch the boats and birds on the water. Bright sunshine streaming down, a soft breeze -- it is a great big beautiful tomorrow! :dance3:

Now that I'm rested up, I need to hit my last stop before venturing back on the boat. Can you guess? Goofy's Candy Company is calling my name! Not only am I getting a carrot cake cookie, I'll also have 3 made-to-order pretzel sticks -- dipped in dark chocolate, rolled in peanuts, and drizzed with caramel. I'm taking these back to the resort, they might make it until tomorrow night :rolleyes1 Then I gather all my goodies, and head back to the boat. It's a lovely, pleasant time to relax and think about the great time I just had, and all my new lovelies! :goodvibes

Well, now it's easy to see why I gain weight on vacation... :scared1: I do try to focus on special treats I don't get at home, but I may even have to scale those back. Good thing I don't get to Orlando more than once or twice a year!

Maria :upsidedow

Have to ask...have you heard about D Street, the new store inspired by Tren-D, in the Marketplace? (I sound like an ad! ;) ) It sounds great!

Corrina - I am so sorry your family is going to have to go through such a change.

QOTD for Thursday: Since most people mentioned that Disney vacations were their favorites I've decided to add a twist. What was your favorite non park Disney activity while on vacation?

When I was younger I would have said Kennedy Space Center. My mom used to work there and we would get to see stuff that the regular public doesn't get to see. But it gets a little old after a while.

I LOVE the Disney Cruise... but I am not sure if that counts.

When we go to Disney, we always spend a few days in either Cocoa Beach or Melbourne (My family is in Melbourne). We always get a hotel right on the beach and do a lot of beach activities. I was born in Florida and my mom took me to the beach for the first time when I was 6 days old. I am a beach baby!

Jennz.... I've been thinking about you all day!

Thanks

How cool that your mom worked at Kennedy!

That letter to you mom sounds like a great idea...writing things down helps to organize your thoughts. Good luck. I lose weight slowly too! Your goal definitely is achievable!

Pixie dust sent! :wizard: He is probably running as I type. :goodvibes

Kathy how was the talent show? How are you feeling?

Well I've been junk-fooding it this past week but I think I have a better grip on my issues - emotional of course, how shocking! :rotfl2: What has helped me get a grip on my eating, you might ask? Well I decided to do some "before" pictures :scared1: I saw my rear!!! And actually saw 15 pounds less of it. I think I'm going zoom in on that thing and blow it up (not that it needs it lol) and when I reach for something more than I need look at it...either that or use it as a dart board.:rotfl:
