Good Morning All!!

Hope everyone is getting a good start on the weekend. I was SO proud of myself this morning....I had to pick my Grandmother up at the airport, Mom stopped to get donuts to take home and I didn't buy any. (I'm a major donut lover) I'm having yogurt, fruit and granola here instead. It's little, but a big thing for me. ;)

I have to clean dog poop today...shouldn't that count for exercise?! I have five dogs, does that help?!?! :rotfl2:

I just finished with Slim in 6 a week ago - that's how I lost 7 of my 10 pounds :cheer2: . It's effective, even if she drives me a little nuts lol. She has a tendency to not be on the beat of the music - and the music is BAD. Luckily there is an option to turn it off so I just made my own playlist and use that...much better! I just started the next phase, Slim Series (also got the slim series express videos) and am excited that there's more videos/more variety.

Congratulations on losing the weight! It's good to know another person that had success with Slim in 6. I ordered the Slim Series Express DVDs right away with the original order, I thought they might be good once we get this down and for days we don't have as much time to exercise and it didn't add to the shipping costs either.

Good Morning all - talk about timing! I just won a free month at Curves. I currently do not exercise, so what an opportunity! My DM (82!) goes in the morning. I am going to join her before I go to work!

Good morning everyone! I have been dieting and working with a trainer 3 days a week for a while, but have been losing motivation lately. I have not been good about doing cardio on my own when I am not with the trainer and I AM NOT a morning person! So I am very proud of myself today. I woke up early this morning and was up before anyone else. As I was sitting out on by deck with my coffee enjoying the beautiful morning, I kept feeling like I should go for a walk or something. Usually my lazy side would talk me out of it, but today I decided not be be lazy and went to the high school track and walk/jog 4 miles!!!!! I was back home just as everyone was getting up!

Hopefully this challenge will keep me motivated!! We leave for a beach vacation the day this challenge ends.

I did the real age quiz, but haven't gotten my results back yet. I will update when I get the results.

Everyone have a good day.

The chart they send with the express videos is great! one side continues right after Slim in 6 with weeks 7-10 already mapped out for you. (The other side mixes express and slim series - slim series videos are anywhere from an hour to 1 1/2 hours :scared1: ) Let me know if you have any questions or frustrations and I would be happy to share my experiences with you. Are you logging your workouts into wowy too? If so PM me your screenname and maybe we can workout together :grouphug: sometime.

As for me now that I've gotten my DIS board fix I'm off to try another new video today (Cardio Core from the Slim series express.) Have a good day everyone!:flower3:

Good Morning ladies, it is interesting that from reading your posts most of you are "older than than your real age" while this fat old man who loves red meat and beer is 5 yrs younger :rotfl2: I doing this for my women. but don't consider myself overweight after all I can still see my toes over my hairy belly.
But I love competition, so the game is on !!!

I just looked at the results of my age test, and it calculated my age to be 36.5, and my real age is 36.8 - so it's almost equal :thumbsup2

I printed off all the suggestions they gave me, and I'm going to try and incorporate them into my daily life - slowly. I have found with myself, that if I try to do much at once, that I get burned out, and then I don't want to do it anymore.

I am proud to report that I resisted eating the Dunkin Donuts Munchkins that I bought for my kids yesterday. I really love these things, and it took a lot of will power to put them on their breakfast plate, and not mine.

I'm going to go home today and make some sugar free jello - I love jello!!!:goodvibes I then serve it to myself in a fancy parfait glass with fat free CoolWhip - it's a yummy dessert!!!:goodvibes

See you all later!!

I'm a day late, but I PMed Joanne this morning! I'm going to have some trouble with the challenges this week, because I had Lasik two days ago and I'm restricted on exercising this week. Nothing sweaty and nothing that causes me to scrunch up my eyes (lifting heavy weights, etc.) I can walk on the treadmill starting Monday. It was really nice on the RealAge quiz to click "I do not need corrective lenses"!!!

I just did my RealAge, I'm three years younger (28.7 on the calendar, 25.7 in RealAge.) I need to work on:
Flossing habits (definitely guilty)
Low vegetable intake (I'm getting LOTS better at this)
Low fruit servings (definitely guilty)
Daily vitamin (definitely guilty)
Low unsaturated fat ( :confused3 I eat a lot of fatty cheeses and PB, and cook with olive oil, so...)
High resting heart rate (must have guessed wrong, because I know mine is fine)
Lack of flexibility exercises (definitely guilty)
Potassium levels (definitely guilty)
Low grain intake (definitely not!!)
Low omega-3 intake (definitely guilty)
Folic acid intake (definitely not, many of the veggies and grains I eat have folic acid)
Family history of breast cancer (yeah)
Cell phone use (but there wasn't a hands-free earpiece option!)
Vehicle size (this one annoys me - I put compact because I'm not driving my SUV for a month. Now I need a larger car! Can't win either way!)
Oral hygiene concerns (definitely guilty)
High red meat intake (I *like* red meat!!)
Blood pressure control (no idea if mine is good or bad)
Calcium intake (no way)
Vitamin E intake (no idea)
Vitamin C intake (no idea)
Have cholesterol level measured (definitely guilty)
Social network and stress (well, yeah, I'm a MILITARY wife!! :rotfl: )

Checking in from cloudy SE Wisconsin. PM has already been sent to Joanne (and thank you for doing this).

It's wedding weekend for us. Our son is getting married tomorrow so I'm hoping to get my exercise on the dancefloor. I've already told DH that "12oz Curls" (elbow on bar, beer can in hand, raise to mouth, elbow down....repeat...) are NOT considered exercise.:rotfl2:

Good luck to all!! :cheer2:

"BOBalosers".... stay motivated!!:grouphug:

You Boogie girl.:woohoo:

Those of you who have lost already have really inspired me.

Congrats! :thumbsup2

I just took the Real Age test. Haven't gotten the results yet. I'll keep you posted.
I based it on my activity before my surgery 7 weeks ago, because as the kkers know... I was getting up at 4:30 AM and working out for 1 1/2 hrs. before I went to work. (5 days a week)
Since my surgery, I started speed walking after 2 1/2 weeks. So it should be pretty accurate.

Now, it's back to the gym tomorrow. I'm going to a Zumba class. (Salsa dancing) :dance3:

Keep up the good work everyone.

I just talked to my dd (20). I think she is joining us. :yay:

I'm off to go for a bike ride, then some aerobics. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I did the real age test and the results were my real age is 41.8 and my calendar age is 46.2. This was not too bad. Some of the area's I will work on are the flexibilty training and the High BMI!!

The results are in. :scared:

Calendar age: 53

Real Age: 48

Not too bad, I guess. I do need...

More fruits and veggies, potassium rich foods, unsaturated fats, flexibility excercises.

BMI is too high. (surprise, surprise)

Time to get is together. :goodvibes

Very nice. I have the same problems. Darn BMI! ;)

I would eat more veggies if I took the time to steam them.

I need to start setting time aside to prepare my snacks too. That'll keep me from grabbing junk food. :thumbsup2

Hi guys its me again I hope no one my last thread to seriously, I am 40 pounds overweight, I eat and drink badly, no exercise, and have a heart issue and it made me younger, so don't be discourage about the age it gave you. The main point is we all care and are willing to do something about it. I will have fun of course, I do have a repetation to uphold, but I will support each of you and hope all of us makes the goals we have set.
The Man

PS my wife says I wear kilts to hide my big belly. :lmao:

Hello, all! We have a very active group here for the new BL5! :goodvibes I think that is great as it will give us all good motivation!

I PM'd my weight yesterday morning. It was up a bit from the BL4 weigh in on Tuesday. I also am having a very bad eating weekend so far. I am going to get back on track though. My Dh's friends are hanging out this weekend and that always includes bad food choices no matter how much I try :sad2: :rolleyes1

I did the real age. My calendar age is 29.7 but my real age is 28. Basically it says I need to eat healthier (I already eat way better than I used to), floss, and exercise more consistently including strength training.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey everyone! This is Tart Annihilator and Dyerneed's daughter.

Here are my results:

Calender age: 20.9
RealAge: 18.9 :cool1: (take that, Tart)

I honestly have no idea how I managed that... I have terrible eating habits! But i guess that all changes now

My goal is 15 pounds. Wouldn't it be nice if I made it by the big 2-1 :thumbsup2

Looks like it's time to start excercising. :woohoo:

Have fun baby.

Just back from my 2 family parties - ok, they are behind me. :sad2:
