Congrats to all the losers, and to the gainers and maintainers, hang in there--your time is coming!!! I feel sort of guilty for being #1 because my net loss for the week was only 2.3 pounds (remember I had gained 2.5 the week before). So it's sort of artificial, ya know? So I'm not gonna use the clippie for the week's winner--that should really go to the #2 winner, JoanneL (IMHO, the REAL winner this week!)

I'm more excited about being in 2nd place on the challenge. THAT was the real deal!!

Welcome to our new members, and congrats to those who "made the list" already!!! What a great start!

And finally in the area of exercise...it's amazing the work out that one can get looking ridiculous. :thumbsup2 DD was watching a Wiggles Christmas DVD last night so I decided that the 48 min of movie was a nice length and that I needed a change up from the bike, so....I danced my way through the Wiggles. It was apparently a sight to see as DSis (12) was laughing at me throughout, but hey, I got my work out in and it was fun! So I don't dance well, I know that, but I also wasn't that bad. I'm sure that I was a sight though. :rotfl:

I would pay good money to see video of that!!:lmao: My kids would die of embarassment if I even THOUGHT about dancing! Even if no one was here to see it but them!

Yeah superstars!!!! Well done. :woohoo:

Here's an extra :dance3: and a:woohoo: and a :cool1: for two BL WISHers. One, Wendy!!! Fantastic. Congratulations to you.

Two, my buddy Debi! You are on a roll. :woohoo: Good for you. And congratulations.

DH must have found it entertaining too as he stayed downstairs with us for an extra 45 min which is unusual and he needed to go to bed.

DD is only 5 so she thought it was fun. She danced part of the time with me. DSis on the other hand is at the perfect embarassment stage at 12. I just tell her "Hey, I took you to WDW how many times? So hush!". ;)

Congrats to all our losers!!! I am so happy for you and proud of what this challenge is helping us all to achieve! :cool1: :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

I know I have been MIA. :guilty: Sorry everyone. When I joined this challenge I didn't know I was about to get involved in the biggest case of my career or that 3 others of my cases were about to explode! So I have been totally swamped. I finally emailed Brenda. I am only down a total of 6 pounds since I started this challenge, but I am glad I haven't gained.

I just had to comment on this, too, while I am here:
Thank you very much awww shucks...*kicks the dirt* Congrats to all who lost big and to those who also lost little and maintained GREAT WORK!!!! BTW my name is Cam. I hope I can keep up with you ladies..:yay:

Hi, Cam! I am a Cam, too. The only other male Cam I have met was a Cameron who went by Cam when we were in college. Welcome and congrats!

Okay, back to work for me! Bye, everyone! I'll miss you! :sad1:

This challenge is another fun one. The biggest thing I do for myself is go to the Gym... It has become very important to me to get there at least 6 days a week. And although I had the membership for 8 months before I got the guts to enter through the doors now that I am in the doors I kick myself for dragging my heels for so long... I actually enjoy it!!!!

Is it too late to jump in here? I would love to join this group - it looks so supportive!
I have lost 26 pounds recently and have about 50 or so to go to get to my goal weight.

thanks!
:goodvibes

Check out the link here. It goes to the sticky at the top of our list of threads here on the WISH forum and outlines how our challenge works. Our ending date is April 15. After that we will have some sort of support thread available for us losers.

Your first step is to PM or email your current weight to me. Then introduce yourself on our weekly BL thread and make yourself at home. We are all here to help each other develop healthy habits to achieve our weight loss goals.

We can do this together.

Have a healthy day!

Congratulations to all this weeks biggest losers and challenge winners.

Special congratulations to one of my cruise buddies Joanne!!

Amanda

ps i want to be back on the weekly top 10 list... This i must do for myself and will do for myself!!

I see that you are in Michigan -- where. I am in Port Huron, a border town with Sarnia Canada, at the mouth of the St. Clair River.

It looks like you are keeping up with us just fine. ;)

I have been so good this week. Not just eating well but got my water consumption back up and rode my stationary every day this week. I started my own private mileage chart in the back of my datebook and am riding to WDW. I rode almost 10 miles in 3 days...knees are bothering my tonight but it is OK. On a good note I had an MRI done tonight, which I am terrified of, and know I lost weight from last summer because I had "space" in the tunnel thing.:goodvibes Thanks Kim for the good wishes. :goodvibes

Let's see what do I do good for me...

Depends on the week...for the last two weeks that meant not working on work over the weekend. This week it will mean spending a lot of extra time with the cherubs while they are on winter break from school and next weekend will mean walking the beach for 3 days. Yes I am nuts, I walk in the ocean with bare feet even when there is snow on the beach. :scared1: You would not believe how much warmer that water is compared to the air. Have a great night everyone. We can do it!:cheer2:

Well I am a Cameron that goes by either Cam or Cameron depending on who is talking to me. Doesn't matter to me though. Great to have another namesake!:cool1: I went to college in California, did you go there?

I'm nowhere close to you. I'm in Livonia (a burb of Deytwa) But hey neighbor :wave2:

I also don't think I really ever intoduced myself to everyone. I'm Cam or Cameron, which ever you prefer. I'm in Livonia, MI, moved here from California (wishing I hadn't :beach:  ). I'm in the medical field and pretty doggone busy working two jobs:surfweb: :scared1: . I was at 150 lbs when I first moved here. I was pretty active in Cali with mountain biking and hiking and running and surfing. Here in Michigan I can't seem to find anything to do outdoors that I enjoy, it being sooooo flat! So I gained 50 lbs. I also used to be a vegetarian and started eating meat here. I am now currently back to being a vegetarian though and really enjoy it like I used to. I'm trying to lose 50 lbs by June when me my DW and DD12 will be taking our first trip to WDW. We've all been to WDL but never have we visited Florida. I can't wait! :hourglass :hyper: Both me and my DW are trying to lose weight. Tomorrow we are going to check out this health club by our house. It's having a special, $124 for the year or $19 a month. If it's nice inside, I'm going for the year.

So I hope I can motivate people to lose and lean on some shoulders myself when I need them. :grouphug:

Anyone have any good suggestions for getting more fiber? Remember that I can't eat any wheat.

What do I do for myself? Well, let's see, spend lots of time on the Dis and on SparkPeople!!:rotfl2: Oh, and I LOVE to read. But my biggest "vice" is a weekly massage. I have a girl who comes to the house, brings her table, and gets out all the kinks and knots. I can't wait to have anotherr one--I'm hoping within the next week or 2 I'll be healed up enough.

Well, very nice to meet you! I went to college in Pennsylvania. I've been to California once -- for the 2006 Inaugural Disneyland 1/2 marathon. AWESOME!

Well beans have a ton of fiber. Here is a good list of high fiber foods with 5grams of fiber or more...
Barley
Navy Beans
Baked Beans
Split Peas
Lentils
Oat Bran
Dates
Refried Beans
Raspberries
Asian Pears
Green Peas
Couscous, dry
Prunes
Spinach
Artichokes
Brussels sprouts
Broccoli
Pears
Raisins
and you can also have things like cornbread, hushpuppies and oatmeal or you could make some turkey chili using chili beans and have some cornbread with it. (these are soluble fiber which attract water to your bowels)

Nice to meet you too. I haven't run a marathon yet but I did do the Revlon Breast Cancer run/walk 5k (I walked it though) when I was in Cali. I wasn't in Cali in 2006, I've been here in MI since 2002
