I was rooting for Mike! I'm getting up and doing the elliptical tomorrow! I've lost about 27 lbs since Christmas and need to lose at least 33 more so I'm getting back to work tomorrow!

She starved herself knowing she has to be at very low weight to beat Tara and Mike. She'd look better with 10 more pounds on her.

Well, maybe she will buy a good steak with her $250k.

What a great finale! Helen was too thin, though. I loved the "new" Kristin. I am glad Mike didn't win, but according to his percentage, if he wasn't in the final 3, wouldn't he have taken the home prize?

They cut the show off too quickly after the winner was revealed. I wish they would spend at least about the last 10 minutes of the show talking to the winner, instead of cutting it out that quick.

I'm bummed that Tara didn't win but I've got to hand it to Helen. She played a good game under the radar and she whittled herself down to nothing to win the big prize. I knew that she won the second I saw Tara come out. Tara was still curvy while Helen was now bony. I think that 117 pounds is way too thin for someone who is 5'6" ... she's only 3 lbs away from being underweight! I hope that now that she has the money that she allows herself to gain a bit to a so she is no longer skeletal. I would hate to find out that she exchanged one eating disorder for another one, KWIM?

Oh, and how about Jerry! Now that is a success story I can get behind. I love how he said something like "As soon as my mind got out of the way, my body went to work."

Helen looks too thin...not healthy.

I think so, too! Her face looks just huge - a sure sign that she's weighing less than she should.

I weighed 117 at 5'6 when I was a senior in high school...and was considered too thin. Definitely too thin for a 48 year old woman. It'll be interesting to see her when they have the next Biggest Loser, to see if she gains some back.

On the other hand, I thought Jerry (and Estella) looked fabulous!!!

Robin, thanks for posting that link. It's interesting to see how tall all the contestants are and what their BMIs were/are. I had no idea Tara was 5'9! I think she would not look good if she'd lost another 5-10 lbs. Still wish she had won, though....

Jillian gets the credit for the win. Bob also trained Ali for a while before she went home but came back and was on Jillian's team. It is the trainer they leave campus with that is considered the winning trainer. And she was on the black team.

wow. this was my first season watching all the way thru (we caught the last few eps of the season just prior to this one). I am so happy for tara...she looks amazing. I knew she didn't "win" as soon as I saw her, but I also see her as a winner because she looked so healthy and good. really hoping she found that balance in her life.

helen on the other hand looked awful. in fact, I was pretty disgusted with the show in general after seeing her. I've questioned the show as I've been watching it...I know I should view it as a game show, not as a health type show, but I have a hard time doing that I guess. but helen looks very unhealthy to me. just gaunt. rather than be happy for her when I saw the 117 flash up, I just felt stunned that she would do that and think its okay.

that's just it! I was seriously uncomfortable watching all these people applaud for someone who looked really unwell. she in no way looked healthy, and I cannot imagine that she got there in a healthy way.

I thought the same thing. She was standing really wierd.

I thought Helen looked awful and was so disappointed she won. I never wanted her to win. I hated how when Ally asked if she thought she could beat the other two, she kind of sized them up with her eyes and said I think I got a good chance.
Her face was awful. I told DH I hope I don't look that "old" when I get that age, which is only 8 years away for me.

I also hated how the show was 3 hours longs but win Helen won it was cut off so fast you really didn't get to see any celebration fo anyone.
I thought Kristen looked fabulous and I loved her new hair. I thought her mom didn;t look a whole lot better though.

I agree. They cut Tara off on the scale.

Helen knew her target weight to beat the others and I do have to give her kudos for doing it.

I wanted Tara to win and she did get close.

I am glad it is over....
