Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge--for Losers and Maintainers

Thanks for coaching this week, Sue, and good luck with that packing!
:thumbsup2 Have a wonderful, wonderful time! :cool2:

We will also go to Seattle for a week-end and see my Mom. We have a couple of visitors coming through, too, so lots of fun but not much travelling thank goodness!

Hi Lisa :goodvibes When does work slow down for you?

We went to Seattle before a cruise once and loved it

As for vacation plans, we are taking two of our kids (20; 23) on their first cruise, the Dream on September 1st and then a few days in Disney. Counting down for that. Other than that, I'll be sticking close to home.

Yahoo! I'll be there in 2 weeks. Is there anything you'd like me to check out, look for, find out, or take a picture of for you?

Thanks for the tip about the Show Me the Cupcakes.....YUM YUM YUM!! I need to lay off the cupcakes in order to make some headway in this challenge but I am reserving a yum yum for the completion of my June 11th race (just a little treat for my hard work!) I'm going with the Butterfinger Cupcake (chocolate and peanutbutter with a mini butterfinger on top!) I can't wait!!

To all the mommies...enjoy Mother's Day!! I am taking my mom and my godmother to brunch on Sunday (and my dad and godfather too!).

That Butterfinger Cupcake sounds tasty popcorn:: We're doing brunch too. Happy Mother's Day to you too.

I had my shoulder manipulation last Friday. (thanks for the good wishes they really worked!) I am doing GREAT!! Very little pain. I am TONS better!! I am doing PT, but they think I will only go one more week then they will dismiss me. :) I am amazed that I struggles so long and the cure was so simple!

So back to exercising. I am down several pounds and I think it is just from resuming my normal activities finally!!

Glad to hear that you are doing better. Good job on the weight loss :thumbsup2

Hey everyone! The scale says I'm down 10.4 for the challenge! Woohoo! Staying on track the next 3 weeks is going to be the most challenging with Mother's Day and my birthday on the 23rd. I'll definitely need to stay focused.

First is our June road trip to Great Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde, Santa Fe, and Carlsbad Caverns. We are planning to take more back roads through the mountains and I've heard its incredibly beautiful. I'm very excited to see these places and am also looking forward to a big Trader Joe's stock up shopping trip in Santa Fe (our closest TJs).

Next is our September trip to Kauai, it will be our 4th Hawaiian island (we lived on Oahu for 6 months) and I am so looking forward to it. We are going the week DH turns 40 and both DS and DD have their birthdays that week. I am so jealous that they all get to spend their birthdays in Hawaii!

In October, we are going to CA for our nephew's wedding in Palm Springs, with a 3 day stopover in Anaheim for Disneyland! I'm excited to try all the new rides and restaurants that will be there since our last trip. I think I am most looking forward to the new Tiki Bar in the DL Hotel! I'm stressing a little about finding a good airfare for this one since they are on the rise.

That sounds like it'll be a fun few months :goodvibes

Thanks for asking. I know it has been awhile since I have checked the boards (I keep posting my weights though, thanks Tracey for monitoring us, and I saw your question regarding Caleb.

Caleb is doing great. He had his first shot of chemo (three doses) a few weeks ago and his last blood check showed that his white blood count was down, just as expected because that means the drugs are doing its job. His counts will be coming back up and he then gets his second dose in two more weeks.

He has not been ill and he still has his hair (what little he had anyway) and has been just a little more fussy than normal.. And Melissa and Kyle are doing great. I am so proud of my little girl, she is a rock.

Keep up the good work, and thanks again for thinking of my family.

Dave

Dave thank you for posting, everyone is pulling for Caleb and your family :grouphug: He's a tough little guy.

In August my DW and I are attending the D23 expo in Anaheim. Looking forward to this.

I would love to hear about the D23 expo when you get back. Have you been before?

QOTD:

We have an awesome summer planned! Usually I feel worried about filling the kid's time but not this year!

June - 1 Week in Hilton Head with my parents
- 2nd week in HH the boys will head home and my aunt and her girls will come for a girl's week.
- 1 week in LA and Carnival Cruise with my BF from College!! Just the 2 of us (oh and a bunch of women friends of hers lol)

July - NCL Cruise with my Parents, DB and 2 - DS and their families (19 total) to Bermuda! Every other year we all take a vacation together! It is a blast!

In October we may go to Disney for Hubby's conference if I have any money left :rotfl2:

Nice plans :worship: Are you staying at Disney's resort in HH? We went last May. What NCL ship? I've been on NCL twice and love their freestyle dining approach. They have the BEST drink. Non-alcoholic (I know right :scared1:) I think it's called Chariots of Fire, and it's orange juice, sprite and grenadine. I tried making them at home, but it just never tasted the same. I don't know if it was the brand of oj or the ratios, but I think I had at least 3 a day on the cruise.

My mom will be having a full body MRI on Wednesday. They found lesions on her lumbar and pelvic bone. They are not sure what it is as of yet. It could be myeloma but he doctor is taking things one day at a time and one step at a time. My sister really liked the doctor and they also spoke to a social worker who knows all that is going on with my parents right now. She suggested my mom go home and do some gardening as that relaxes her. They want to put her on anxiety meds but she would have to give up her wine so that is still in discussions.

Tracey, hugs to you for being so strong  It must be hard with your kids not knowing as well. Hang in there.

Hello to anyone I missed. Today was a beautiful day. I hope everyone's weekend is just as nice :flower3:

THanks everyone!

ENjoyed our breakfast for supper and a margarita and a new drink a friend just told me about (Dragonberry Rum and OJ)!

Played the card game, Ratuki and now Brian and Ash are playing chess.

ABout to watch the Bruins game!

2 soccer games and a quick trip to work!

Any NE folks, check out the podcast thread about a meet to see CARS 2 to benefit Give Kids the World! At least 4 of the podcast team will be attending! The meet will take place in Fitchburg, MA!

This is going to be AWESOME!!!!

TTFN :tigger:

Today was another busy day. I did leave work as scheduled though, which was nice. I wasn't sure if I would or not, but some people work on Saturdays so everything will get done tomorrow. Fridays are tricky with regards to planning my day because some time after lunch I know I have something time-consuming to do, but there is no way to start ahead of time. So, that means everything else has to be done before lunch and I often end up with nothing to do. But, today, the  went off and I spent over an hour working on a project that not only helped my boss, but got me ahead of schedule for Monday morning. If only the  went off every day...:rotfl2:

Overall, I was pleased with the way I ate for the day. I used 6 of my weeklies, which leaves me plenty for the next 5 days. I often don't even eat all 29 of my points on Saturdays and Sundays, so I should be golden. We had Chinese food for dinner and my father suprised me and ordered chicken and broccoli. It was delicious and low in points.

QOTD: I will be in WDW for 4 days in August. I'm going with my Mom, Dad, DS, and DBIL. We're staying deluxe for the first time and I'm excited about that. We've always stayed at a value, but 40% off was a big incentive as was proximity to the parks. We're also celebrating my parents' anniversary while we're there. We've never celebrated something in WDW and I'm hoping for some magic. I'm looking forward to eating at Le Cellier too.

Weigh-in this week wasn't great. I was expecting a slight loss, but I ended up with a slight-0.2-gain. I haven't peeked at the scale at home since I weighed-in on Tuesday and I really have no idea what this week will bring. I'll be happy with a maintain.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and  to all those who need one.

Qotd: We are planning on doing a lot of camping this summer. We have the new camper and want to keep costs down to save for our Hawaii trip next summer.

I have tentatively accepted the position at the VA Hospital. I have to pass a background check before they can officially off me the job. I spoke to the woman who will be training me and she had all the right answers. I can essentially set my own schedule as long as I get my 40 hours in. I guess many people choose to work 6 AM - 4:30 PM 4 days a week and have a 3 day weekend. That would be great over the summer for me and the boys.

I've worked out a plan with the hospital so Hunter's MRI is on for Monday. I'm glad that we are still doing it and we are hopeful that all will be well. We actually found out at another boy on Hunter's lacrosse team had a brain tumor when he was around 5 years old. He has done well and he is moving his MRIs out to 5 years apart now. He had the same surgeon that Hunter did and the parents also rave about her.

How was the Dragonberry rum? popcorn::

Did the B's win? I forgot to look.

Bummer it sounds like it'll be a good time, but that weekend is DS's b-day and I'm driving to CT to pick up my niece and nephew that day.

Good Saturday morning Teams

I had a fun time yesterday at the museum. We had a great adventure getting to the museum. We got on the 6:40 train to the city. There were 4 of us traveling together. We got shushed from a regular commuter. That just cracked us up and that started the day.

we were going to travel uptown on the subway. One girl couldn't get her credit cards to work in the metro card machine. I got mine to work and we shared it for the ride up and back.

We got on the subway and it made a couple of stops then it took off and next thing I know we are passing 86th st. we needed to be at 77th st. We could have gotten off at 86th st but the subway was not stopping. We went all the way to 125th st when it finally stopped. we hopped on another train and made it down to the museum.

We spent really only 45 minutes in the hall of oceanic life and then the rest of the time in a classroom doing a case study and discussing how we could use this in our classroom.

we did sneak out to the store during our breaks. I brought dh and ds's some stuffed dinosaurs. I got a Albert Einstein poster for my classroom and a model of the Apollo space craft. I have been looking for one several years but the last one I saw cost 4 times as much as this one.

we did go into the musuem after class and saw a couple of things. The best thing about the day is that they gave us free passes for another day. I was able to get 6 tickets so I think we have to plan another day in the city to see the museum.

I did learn alot about something I knew nothing about. we did a case study about zebra mussels in the Hudson river. Very interesting.

Question of the Day

With so many people planning their vacations let's ask a question about a trip to Disney World

Is there one tradition that you do everytime you got to DW or DL?

With us it is a trip to see Fort Wilderness and eat at Trails End. We love the campground and the peacefulness of it.

Have a happy and healthy day.

Back on EST! The scales here say I'm down 1.5 from yesterday:cool1:
It may be the difference in scales or because I am dehydrated from travelling but it was NICE mentally to see that this morning. Ran about 2 miles and saw an owl, 2 geese (flying and honking), cardinals, blue jays and a hummingbird!

Dona, that is funny you teachers were shushed!!! We get alot of shushing and other comments on the German trains. There were MANY loud American talkers on the flight from Stuttgart to Atlanta that I wanted to shush yesterday. Do you have to talk that loud for 10 hours!!! REALLY!?

Tracey, thinking of your Mom. Ironic that I am here close to her area this week. If there's anything I can do for you here, please let me know. I'm glad she has your sister close by as well. You know that in this area, she will receive excellent medical care.

Deb, glad the job is working out.

I haven't had time to read all the way back but tomorrow morning I should have time to catch up with everyone. Busy day today and I am going to stick to 9 PM bed times so I won't get so far off European time while I am here.

Have a great weekend!

Shawn:cheer2:

I did 3 miles at lunch with my friend today. I kept my running clothes on because the weather is so nice I decided to go out after work and walk more since DS had an after school activity. In the middle of mile 4 my MIL called to tell me that her sister (who is 90, in a nursing home, and who I help take care of long distance) was taken to the hospital due to complications from the flu. While I am walking and talking on the phone a woman drives by me, turns around, stops and runs out and hands me a folded piece of paper -- I'm still walking and talking -- and says "I can help you -- call me" and gets back in the car. Huh? :confused3 When I finished talking with MIL I opened the paper and it's an ad for some naturopathic weight loss drink that this woman was is selling. Really? REALLY?!? I'm in such bad shape that people have to stop driving on the street to tell me I need their help?!? :headache: Thanks, lady, thanks a lot! :lmao: It's actually kind of funny but I might not be so philosophical about it if I hadn't been training all this time. I even did another mile. :goodvibes

Sorry to hear about your friend. I am going back a few pages and slowly catching up so I apologize if you have posted an update since this one. I cant believe that women had the nerve. You look great and are doing it naturally without any weight loss shakes! Your awesome.

Stress eating has begun! Chipotle Tostitos!

Talked to my mom who is a mess. She goes to see a dr. on Friday morning. He thinks it may be bone cancer. We're glad he's seeing her so quickly but also frightened that he's seeing her so fast! My sister is taking her on Friday. Not sure if my dad should go as he could get very confused and overwhelmed. I'm pretty sure he will insist on going but if he doesn't my nephew will hang out with him.

Im so sorry tracey. I hope things turn out better than they seem.

So yesterday after another stressed out phone call from DS, I got dressed and went to the mall. (I know shopping is not a good substitute for eating, but I really did need stuff!) I got a one piece bathing suit--finally!, and another bikini, a strapless bra, and ordered a regular bra. So apparently I am now a 34D--actually a 33D, but they don't make those. And it's not a real common size. The girl told me if I get down to a 32D they are even harder to find. Uggh. I thought this would get easier, but no! Oh well.

Then last night Mike and I went to the Y and ran in the pool.

woohoo shopping therapy. Always a cure. Glad you fought your fears and anxiety and got in the pool!

Lindsay- Hope you have a good trip to Philly. Michael is thinking about football this fall too, and because he's so big, I really don't worry too much, but my worst fear is that as he gets older football starts in august and will interfere with my usual vacation time at the end of august. Sheesh.

Kathy this wkend I kept reminiscing with my coworker about fun things I did pre-kids. After a few storys that we both shared I said wow you know these kids really just ruin all of our fun.:lmao:

I spoke to HR today and they are going to do NOTHING...absolutely nothing. I got an I'm sorry and we understand if you need to get done as it was a determining factor in your decision. I told the HR rep that I have another offer on the table and we discussed it. She said that if she were me she would take the other job and never look back. She thinks that I have too much to offer and will never reach my potential there. She was very honest and felt bad about the whole situtation. She said that most people would be jumping at the opportunity that I have in front of me. She wasn't able to give me any type of compensation at all if I were to stay there and the coverage that I was shown is not even an option through the insurance company for anyone anywhere.

I got the info packet on the VA job and links to the benefits website. There is just too much to wade through though. There are at least a dozen insurance companies that I can choose from with various premiums and coverage. I have no idea how I can sort through it all :confused3 Hopefully I'll be able to make a decision this weekend.

Deb this is so sad. You definitely do not want to be in a company that does that. I hope the VA job works out and is better.

**********************************************************

Hi Everyone! Im back home. Actually got back yesterday but then had to rush to get the kids and there was a mothers day treat at nick daycare to attend. Then we stopped at target for a bday present for one of ryans friends who's party is today, then we went to ryans family PTA dance last night. whew....I was beat.

The conference I went to was really good. The hilton I stayed in was nice but they didnt have a hot tub. I ended up winning a GC to olive garden and for attending one speaker we got a free ipod shuffle.:woohoo:

I had a bad bought with food. We went to the california pizza kitchen which we dont have around here. We ordered a margharita pizza on whole wheat crust to share and a bowl of pasta with fusili, tomatoe, garlic, broccolli, and a wine sauce. Well we ended up eating the whole entire meal which was way way too much food. So even though we chose healthy meals it doesnt help when he stuff yourself until it hurts. My stomach still felt nauseated last night.

Today Ryan has tball and then his friends bday party. We then have to go shop for mom's day presents.

I am working on getting back on plan. We also got the P90X dvds. I just need to find someone to make a copy for me.

I hope you all are doing well and have a great day. I will try to catch up on more when I get home later.

Tracey--hang in there.

Deb--I hope the VA works out and I hope the mri goes well.:goodvibes

******
Yesterday I was right at maintain and today I am over. Lack of exercise and stress eating will do that to you.

Hope everyone has a good day.:goodvibes

Good morning everyone!! Happy weekend!!

I got up and motivated, and cleaned my whole house. We're heading up to maine after michaels baseball game for the night, and I hate to come home to a dirty house, so I'm happy. I just dropped him off at baseball, and threw a sweatshirt over my pajamas to do that, but he didn't mind, so neither did I.
I'll cut up some fruit to bring to the team since they are practicing for 90 min pre game, and the games seem to last 2 hours, so they could use something before the game. I made come congo bars and shrimp dip, I dropped half for my friends family, and will bring the rest to maine. Her dad is not doing well, but still hanging on. Poor thing. I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow. Since it's mother's day, I will allot some time to dis when we get home. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a very happy Mother's day. :flower3:

His MRI is at 8:10 and we get the results from the Neurologist at 9:30. I am as confident as I can be that it is not another tumor (and if I keep telling myself then it can't be...right?)

With us it is a trip to see Fort Wilderness and eat at Trails End. We love the campground and the peacefulness of it.

Have a happy and healthy day.

We LOVE Fort Wilderness too, but if we're staying at a DVC resort we don't always get over there :( For us we always make the MK our last park of vacation. It optimizes Disney for us so that's the last thing we want to see.

Mini-Challenge for Sat., 5/7: Floss your teeth today.

That's an easy one if you're doing Atkins. Eating a lot of meat tends to mean that food gets stuck between the teeth. I'm flossing after each meal these dayspopcorn::

Yesteday I started bringing in bedding from the camper to get it all washed up before the season starts. I've got 3 beds done and only have the extra bedding that we store under the dinette benches to go.

Nick has an away lacrosse game today. DH has been asked to help coach the Varisity and JV teams as the JV coach is away at his son's college graduation. DH is very excited. That should easily kill the entire afternoon and we'll watch the NASCAR race tonight.

Tomorrow I want to continue cleaning the house, I really need to deep clean the bathroom and kitchen. If the boys do a quick clean through of their rooms I think the house will be in pretty good shape for the week :thumbsup2 I'm hoping that getting things organized at home will help me feel a little less out of control in other areas of life. That's the plan anyway:lmao:

Good morning all! :goodvibes

I'm really getting frustrated by the lack of commitment in my workout partners. I have more motivation now and I will go by myself, but I feel more accountable when I have to meet someone! Christine flaked on me on Wednesday for our walk and Katie....3 times she has made plans to meet me and has cancelled. Katie is also the one who is considering lap band??? I'm trying to be helpful but sometimes you just have to let people do what they need to do :(

That's tough when your workout partners don't have the same commitment that you do. It sounds like Katie just isn't ready to move to the action phase. I would just make my own plans and ask if they want to join and go without them if they don't. You have to do what is right for you! :flower3:

Enjoy your luncheon tomorrow. It's nice of you take everyone! :goodvibes

Princess Nancy, glad that the shoulder is recouperating! :flower3:

First is our June road trip to Great Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde, Santa Fe, and Carlsbad Caverns. We are planning to take more back roads through the mountains and I've heard its incredibly beautiful. I'm very excited to see these places and am also looking forward to a big Trader Joe's stock up shopping trip in Santa Fe (our closest TJs).

Sounds like a fun summer, Lisa! :goodvibes And finishing up at DL at the Tinker Bell Half :tink: I can't wait! We drove the old highway through La Veta Pass a few years ago travelling between Taos and Colorado Springs. It was very scenic and we saw the old schoolhouse and lots of old buildings. Plus you can see a lot of cool santuarios on those back roads in New Mexico. I'd love to hear more about Carlsbad Caverns!

Maybe Southwest will have some good air. At least with them if the price goes down they will give you the lower fare and a credit to use within a year.

ScubaD, glad to hear that Caled is doing well and that everyone in your family is holding up under the stress. :flower3:

Tracey, sending good thoughts and pixiedust: to you and your family.

Sue, glad you were able to enjoy the good weather in your neck of the woods. Work will slow down a bit before the end of the year. It's good to be busy -- I have overhead to cover! It isn't work that is so much the stress for me right now as much as it is BIL's cancer treatment and DS' aunt's hospitalization. Fortunately BIL's first week went well -- only six to go. Aunt is okay -- she is 90 and has been in a nursing home unable to walk and losing her lucidity for over a year. If she doesn't make it, it may be for the best. :flower3:

CC, sounds like a fun trip to WDW this summer -- which resort are you staying in? :cool2:

Deb, sounds like this new job will work out better for you. pixiedust: for Hunter's MRI on Monday.

Is there one tradition that you do everytime you got to DW or DL?

Add me to the list of folks who got a chuckle out of the teachers being shushed! :lmao: Glad that you had a good time! I love the mineral room at that museum.

At Disneyland we must always start and finish the trip with a ride on Pirates of the Caribbean. pirate:

Shawn, glad that you arrived home safely! :woohoo: on the loss after travel!

Lindsay, glad that you enjoyed your trip to Philly! :goodvibes

Rose, you are aware of what is going on and you are on top of things. It's a rough patch, not the beginning of the end.

Kathy, have a great time in Maine! :goodvibes

Have a great day all!

Dragonberry Rum and OJ is AWESOME!!! Having another one right now!

Ash's team won 5-1 so they are 4-0 this season. They really have not faced a team with their skills so there is a possibility that they may change some things around as they are just so much better than the other teams. Izzie was just Izzie playing. She's just not into it yet.

Went to work and then CVS. Girls have showered and now we are watching Star Wars Episode 1. We are going to play games this afternoon and just hang out.

It was beautiful this morning here and then we've had some passing showers.

Pulled pork is done in the crock pot. I made more than I usually do this time. Can't wait to eat it! I think I'll make some garlic fries with it that I got at TJ's.

Thanks everybody. I'm hanging in there. Feeling more confident today about everything. I will be prepared to go down to NC if necessary. I'm hoping my parents can still come for their visit.

Game time!

Bruins swept the Flyers last night! I did put my jersey on when it was tied but all went well the rest of the game! I hope this continues! Celtics play tonight and need all the help they can get! Planning on watching the Kentucky Derby this afternoon. We usually watch it!

QOTD (catching up): No, trips planned this summer. Probably some day trips to Boston and Canobie Lake and Six Flags but that's about it.

Traditions at Disney include Soarin' dash and breakfast at Sunshine Seasons...I always have a margarita in Mexico and the Welsh Dragon in UK! We have enjoyed doing Kim Possible the last few times as well.

OK, time to CHILL the rest of the day!

Do you have any vacation plans for this summer?

I have 3 full weeks off this summer...1 in june, 1 in july, and 1 in aug. I have absolutely nothing planned. Im pretty bummed about it but we are trying to recover financially from a few things that hit us a couple of years ago and I feel like if we can just do small things for the next two years we may actually start to get ahead again. I am just going to enjoy being home with my kiddo's.

I'm working today--all day conference call, yuck! Have a great day everyone!

oh my I cant even stand 1 hr calls..... an all day one would really make me pull my hair out. I hope you made it through ok!

our flight is at 7am tomorrow out of la guardia which is nice b/c it takes us 15 min to get there. and i had my cousin who is going with us sweet talk my aunt into driving us there which will save a few bucks by not taking a cab :)

I know you are already on your way but wanted to say have a wonderful trip!

I almost forgot--my DS is coming home today.:goodvibes I'm excited, and a little nervous. He has not lived at home for more than a couple of weeks for two years. Could be an interesting summer. I will not stress eat, I will not stress eat, I will not stress eat.:thumbsup2

I hope you are doing well today and that he is not stressing you out too much.

it's a childrens book. They thought my idea was great so now I have to find an illustrator and actually write it. I think that is how my summer with be spent. I will sit by the pool and write my book. I'm hoping that a girl I knew in college will do the illustrations with me which will take some collaboration. I'm excited and nervous but more excited than nervous. I'll keep you updated about my progress!

wow that is awesome. definitely keep us posted on the progress.

Glad you are feeling so much better.

Hey everyone! The scale says I'm down 10.4 for the challenge! Woohoo! Staying on track the next 3 weeks is going to be the most challenging with Mother's Day and my birthday on the 23rd. I'll definitely need to stay focused.

Great job on the weight loss. Your vacations sound like they will be lots of fun.

Dave

Dave Im glad to hear little caleb is doing well through his treatments. God bless him and your family. You all are in my prayers.

Afternoon all-

Here's what I know.

Tracey I will only think good thoughts and prayers for all that you and your family are going through.

I have tentatively accepted the position at the VA Hospital.

Deb sometimes things work out for a reason. Im glad its working out for you.

Is there one tradition that you do everytime you got to DW or DL?

We only had one family trip to disney since having the boys but in all the trips I have been there I would say we always made sure to ride It's a small world together, and we would always watch the fireworks. Those are two things I will never miss. So although I wouldnt call it a tradition its always part of our trip.

Back on EST! The scales here say I'm down 1.5 from yesterday:cool1:

Glad your back in the states and safe. and woohoo on the loss. Have a great time.

We're heading up to maine after michaels baseball game for the night

Have lots of fun!!!!

********************************************************

Its a beautiful day here today even with the sprinkling of an afternoon shower we had. tball was great and ryan had fun at the party he went too. I got a chance to catch up with all the other moms from ryans class too so it was fun not only for ryan but even for me. Then I took ryan to pick out a DS game since he got 100% on all his spelling tests in the month of april. Its a shame I have to bribe him but its what works for him. I just hope he finds a job someday with good incentives.:lmao:

Now I am going to head out to find something for the kids to make their grandma's for mom's day tomorrow. Nothing like waiting until the last minute.

talk to you all later.

There's always that perennial favorite -- the macaroni necklace! ;)

Quiet day here. DS has a friend over from school. They are doing the vinegar/baking soda science experiment. :scared: Then I get to go see my neighbors about their WDW trip this Fall! :cool2: So in case I don't get back on here

Happy Mother's Day to all!

Nice plans Are you staying at Disney's resort in HH? We went last May. What NCL ship? I've been on NCL twice and love their freestyle dining approach. They have the BEST drink. Non-alcoholic (I know right ) I think it's called Chariots of Fire, and it's orange juice, sprite and grenadine. I tried making them at home, but it just never tasted the same. I don't know if it was the brand of oj or the ratios, but I think I had at least 3 a day on the cruise
My parents own a 3 bedroom duplex. We stay there. Last year we had Mickey Bars at the Disney resort. Kids want to do a day at Disney so we can use their fun pool at the beach!

We are going on the Dawn – Boston to Bermuda I have saved that drink in my cruise file!
We have 19 going on the cruise. Can we request to be seated the same time each night together? My Mom really wants us to eat together!

Deb Thinking about and praying for Hunter!

Tracy – Prayers for your Mom

Bronx Nancy Have a GREAT Vacation!

So today was an ok day.:goodvibes The weather still isn't great, but I think it's on an upswing. Things are settling down around here, so that's good. Mike and I went to the Y and we did 45 minutes running in the pool. It's harder than you would think.

Tomorrow I am going to ask to go for a bike ride for Mother's Day. DS can ride Mike's bike and Mike can run. I don't know how that is going to go over, but I'm going to ask.

Since the weather wasn't so great, we did some planning for our trip. I think we might get an owner's locker. I'm still not sure, but leaning towards it. We had kind of talked about going to Disney less, but since the g-f issues, it is a nice place to go and not worry about food for a few days. Eating out really isn't a lot of fun anymore. So we looked at that and what we want to order from garden grocer. I showed DS the star wars weekend stuff and he is kind of excited. I think the summer is going to be ok. Last night was not ok. It was pretty cruddy, but today was better.

I hope everyone has a great Mother's Day.:goodvibes
