Hello everyone! My name is Linda. I am 44 yo, SAHM. This is my 2nd time participating in BL. I did the summer thread last year for a DIS trip in September. But I quit after we got back, and the weight started creeping back on. Since Jan. 1, 2011 - I have lost 20+ lbs. - only 5 lbs. away from the goal I set for this challenge, but still have 15 lbs. to go to my ultimate goal. I am compulsive about counting calories, but I can't seem to kick my exercise gene into gear!!! That is the inspiration I get on the thread for. I read all the posts about exercising - and know that is what I need to do. I have been hit and miss about exercising this challenge, but I hope by the end to be much more consistent about it. Nice to meet all of you. Have a great day.
Nice to meet you Linda!!
I also am a huge baseball fan...I have been listening to spring training games on the radio over my lunch breaks for the last couple of weeks! For a few years some friends and I travelled around and saw opening day games in different parks. I have been to see the Angels, the Rangers and the White Sox on opening day and have been to 23 different stadiums for major league games.
That is neat, about the baseball. We aren't sports fans much here. We have taken the kids to a few
AAA baseball games (Worcester Tornadoes and Lowell Spinners), but for them (especially DS) it was about the FOOD! So no more baseball for us!

So instead of Zumba last night since I've decided to be done with it, I walked for an hour on the treadmill. And I have got to say it was awesome! I haven't felt that good after a workout in a REALLY long time. I started out at a brisk walk for 15 minutes hold a 2lbs weight in each hand, at the 15 minute mark I began rolling hills for 30 minutes w/o hand weights, then resumed the brisk walk on flat ground with hand weights for the remaining 15 minutes. It was awesome! Plus I burned 450 calories which is nearly 3 times the amount that I was burning in my Zumba class!
So today at lunch I'll get in an easy 50 minute run with no intervals just a slight incline at 1%. I figured the way I have my new exercise routines set up for the week, I should probably end the week with an easy jog that won't be too hard on my body.
Love to hear about exercise! I've been dying to try Zumba again.... I was a dismal failure at it a few years ago. But no sense in it if it doesn't burn the calories!!
My primary cardio lately has been alternating incline walking (on the TM and the Treadclimber).... glad to hear I'm probably doing the right hing!
Hi Guys my name is Gina and I want to be a loser ! I am a working mom with 3 dd's and I have 3 step children as well and I wonderful husband!! My dd's do competition cheer so the last few months have been HECTIC after this weekend we only have 1 more competition and then I can sorta get my life back!! It is hard to diet when you are stuck in either hotels or arenas every weekend eating only junk food - so my posting has been almost non existent! Like my weight loss!!! Hope to pick up the pace and the weight loss now as summer is coming and so is my trip to Disney!! I really want to be able to enjoy my photo pass pics this year without wanting to crop myself out all the time! So that is my goal - oh and to lose around 40 pounds - but really any loss will be welcomed!! Good luck to everyone!
Hi Gina! I know the feeling about the crazy weekends away with kids. DD's swim season just ended last night! I've found I absolutely MUST, MUST, MUST pack my own food for these events because there is virtually NEVER anything healthy/low cal to eat..... just pizza, popcorn, nachos, and muffins the size of my head!!! I've become pretty skilled at packing my foods.... and usually just enough to keep my satisfied for the duration. We should talk about it later!!
I didn't notice if you had a trip ticker..... when are you heading to Disney?
Hello Mickeys and Donalds!
SO glad we are now all in one place!!!! I will hopefully have time to chat with all of you more often then just your PMs to me on Fridays.
I am a 40 year massage therapist and former teacher. I am married to doconeill here on the boards and we have two beautiful girls, Ashleigh, who will be 11 in MAY and Izzie who is 6 1/2. We enjoy everything about Disney as well as Doctor Who, Ghosthunters and Harry Potter.
I started my weight loss journey in December 2008 when we got a Wii that year. I lost 35-40 pounds and then got stuck. I participated in a weight loss challenge at my local wellness center that ended in December and I reached my goal weight. I gained back about 12 pounds over the holidays and was recently able to get within 2 pounds of my goal weight from then. I had dropped my goal weight down 5 more pounds but I may just go back to my original of 145. I'm comfortable there. It's such a great feeling when people notice my weight loss! I was in Izzie's class this morning and two of the teachers said something to me!
I'm off to a girls weekend with Redwalker and 4 other lady friends down to the Cape! We leave in about 90 minutes so I'm trying to keep myself busy until then so the time will go by fast. I have to drive my car to Redwalker's house and then hitch a ride the rest of the way with 2 of my other friends. We all have to be back at different times on Sunday so I'm taking my car to the almost half way point. We're doing potluck tonight and then hitting the hot tub for a few hours and enjoying some adult beverages. Redwalker and I plan on doing the treadmill a few times tomorrow and hang in the hot tub more and then we are ordering take out tomorrow night.
Going to listen to some podcasts on the way down in my car and then I'll listen to more at bedtime or whenever I need some me time. We are going to play 80s Scene It and watch chick flicks too! We haven't done this in 2 years so it's well over due!
I'm going to wait and do all the weigh ins on Sunday when I get back so I don't miss any.
Have a great weekend and I will be back on Sunday night!
Tracey..... hope you girls weekend is GREAT! Big hello to RedWalker for me!!
Hello Joint Losers Alliance! Happy, Lovely Friday to all.
I'm MissOutandAbout from Team Donald.
LTS has kindly allowed us the use of her moving team:
For some reason, I can't focus on anything when those guys are around.
I'm a 30's something SAHM to an almost 4 year old and an adult mom to my chubster -- I mean hubster. He's my dieting partner-in-crime. We've lived in some "exotic" locales and are back in the States again (although he's British, so tainted by me!

) We'll be celebrating our 10 anniversary this year at Disney.
Dieting Wise:
I'm a South Beacher. Started at the end of February with my hubster. We've done the co-dieting thing before successfully back many moons ago. Then baby happened. Then lazy eating and bad habits decided to come back for a visit. We both got tired of being near-physically ill every time we looked at ourselves in the mirror so said, "That's ENOUGH of this junk!" I don't really have a weight goal; I'll just "know it" when I look in the mirror. So far so good, we're just chuggin' along -- down 16 pounds so far. Glad to be here in the big group and nice to "meet" y'all.
I must admit.... I have NO idea who the guys in the picture are! I suppose that means I no longer have young kids!
Hopefully we will have some more SB-ers to join you and LTS.
Hi Everyone!!
I am Nancy from team Mickey. I am SAHM to 3 great kids DS 17, DD15, DD11.
DH and I have been married 21 years.
I turned 45 on Sunday. My goal was to lose 20 pounds when I joined this challenge to go on vacation in June. Then I was doing well, so I hope to lose 20 by my Birthday...while I didn't make it,,,I am Thrilled to report...
I REACHED MY GOAL TODAY...
I LOST 20 Pounds!!
I am so excited. I am so appreciative of all the support on here and am looking forward to the merge!
My new goal is 15 more pounds by June 11!! Which would be a final goal I think!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Yeah Nancy! You made your goal.... and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Two big reasons for excitement! You've got 10 weeks to lose the last 15.... YOU CAN DO IT!!
Wow, I've been so absent from the boards, but thought I'd reintroduce myself...
I'm Patricia; work full time, going to school almost full time too for nursing; have two children still at home (when they are there), dd is 23 and ds is 20. Also have son and dil who live two blocks away with our precious grand daughter Bella who is two and will be a big sister later this summer.
I started WW the very end of December and I've lost 22 pounds so far (been maintaining that within a pound the past two weeks) and hoping it will go down again next week. I've been really trying to be diligent with the program but get out of the habit of recording so don't realize how much I actually ate until i write it down.
I work out a few days a week (need to be more) and am just started up running again for a 10 miler race the first weekend of May.
I'm hoping i'll be thinner and healthier for our
DCL cruise on the Dream in September.
Patricia.... I assume that is the grandbaby in the signature photo?? So cute!! Nice to meet you!! Love to talk about WW with you later!
Hi Everyone!
I'm Disneywedding2010 from Team Mickey! I'm a 27 year old widow who lost her husband and 2 year old daughter in 2008. I'm currently in a new relationship and am very happy.
My late husband and I's only vacation together was to Disney World in 2007 after his deployment. A few short months later he passed away. A year after their passing I bought into DVC. Now, we go at least twice a year. I love going to relive the memories of my late husband and I's trip. Disney will never get old in my eyes.
6 months after their passing I started my Bachelors. I'm currently in the last 2 weeks of my final class. Then on April 30th I will walk in commencement. However, if the Dallas commencement opens up I'll be walking in Texas vs the 2 day drive to AZ, lol.
Okay, weight loss wise: I was 180 the night of the accident. Being hospitalized and all that I dropped 30 pounds. Hey, not the healthiest way to lose weight but eh it happened. Then I met my wonderful fiance (no, we did not get married on 2010) and I got out of the deep dark hole of grief. Well, now that I'm happy it shows in my waist line

. I'm struggling with the weight loss but I know slow and steady will win this weight loss journey for me
I can't even BEGIN to imagine all you have been through in your short life. But obviously you are SUPER strong and haven't let it pull you under. You are amazing!
Well I did my run at lunch and actually did intervals but only moderately. The first 15 minutes I did 4.6 with a 1% incline, then the next 15 minutes was 4.7 with 0% incline, then 4.6 again with incline, and the last 10 minutes was 4.7 w/o incline. It just seems to make running on a treadmill go a little faster, kwim
Working on my water, had a healthy lunch of Lean Cuisine w/a large salad, yummy.
We don't have much going on this weekend except round 2 of potty training

I'm positive this kid fully understands the concept, I just think he's resisting because he can ....suddenly what was one of my strong traits, being independent, is biting me in the butt now via my son

So we'll see how it goes.
Have a great Friday everyone!
Nicole
Glad you had a good run and a good lunch! I do NOT envy you the potty training! No great words of advise except to say.... it will happen eventually!!
Hi I'm Bungle from team mickey. I'm struggling with my weight loss lately but still hang on to keep myself accountable.
I will say that this week I didn't post a gain though
Any week that doesn't have a gain has to be a good week!! Nice to meet you!
I am Haley from Team Donald. Actually, I just started the challenge. I am 27 and have two kids, Bridget 3.5 and Bode 1.5. I am a SAHM in NC. I love to sew, knit, talk and take photos. I know that once I am committed to losing weight I can do it. I lost 40 pounds then got pregnant with dd. I am hoping to lose a total of 50 pounds. Since Jan 7 I am down 14! I am doing weight watchers as of 3/2, so that is helping.
Good luck to everyone!
More WW friends.... yeah!!
[Hi P! I have been doing arms at the Y. It's funny, cause I usually go to strength class, but I can't do a lot of the leg stuff right now, so I have started using the free weights--with all the big buff powerlifter dudes. I was REALLY intimidated at first. But now I just go get my 7.5 pound weights and do my little routine. I must say when some of those big guys are there, I look really tiny. Congrats on the loss this week and have fun at Harvard!
I get that weird feeling too, while I'm "lifting" with the big guys at the Y. I always figure they are looking at me and snickering and about to tell me what I am doing wrong. Why can't I just assume that they are impressed??

BTW, what sadistic SOB decided that we needed to look in GIANT mirrors while lifting??? It had to be a GUY!! My face gets all strange and contorted.... why do I need to see that!!
We have no big plans for the weekend, but I am going to attempt to run tomorrow. Then Monday it's back to the chiropractor for more torture on my poor leg. It is feeling really good, though so it's worth it.
Have a good Friday.

on the baked potato dinner!
Thumbs down (do we have a smilie for that?) for the car problems! I've had my share in the past and there isn't much that is more annoying in my book. We are starting to shop for a used car.... either for me (and I would give DD my car) or for DD. But I can't STAND the thought of buying something we might have trouble with!!
Can't wait to hear how the run goes! Prayers for you that the leg is feeling better.
Hi all I'm from Team Mickey I'm in my late 50's a mother of 3 adult daughters and wife of my high school sweetheart. I've been a nurse for 35 years
I currently work as a Parish Nurse. I Love to knit, sew, scrap, and all things Disney. Oh and I love my tea
What kind of tea do you drink? We've been trying lots of new ones lately.
I'm glad I'm not the only one, Pamela! I used to worry when I would send dona my HH numbers when she was HH coach that I would make an addition error, even though she would have been perfectly nice about it.
And a BIG
WOO HOO to you for a great weigh in today!
I know.... I'm SO GLAD that Tracey only wants us to send in our weight.... then I only have to remember the right number to jot down... I don't actually have to do any MATH!!
Thanks for the woohoo.... I needed it!
Hi all...just a quick post then I need to go read the intros...
I am Julie from Atlanta. Ran the Princess this year and in my pics noticed, Yeah i need to lose some weight...so working on it. This is actually only my 4th week in the challenge. So far so good, 25% of the way there. I have been dealing with a foot issue which is making my exercise challenging...I have plantar faciitis. Mainly doing eliptical and a yoga class at the gym.
I am 46, married for 7 years 2 kids...... with one beautiful princess named Sarah who is 4 and an angel who lives in heaven named Caleb - he would be 6 this year, he was born at 24 weeks and lived 8 days. Premature birth can really suck.
Oh on a postive note, we are headed to WDW May 7th, wahoo! I can't wait to go back. Will be my 3rd time there, been to DL 2 times.
julie
Hi Julie! I'm pleased to meet you! We will be at Disney at the same time!! And I know that Buffy will be there at that time also! Maybe we need to share schedules to see if there is any way to at least meet up for a quick HELLO!
Hi everyone!!!
I'm Jude, from Team Donald. My goal is to lose 10 pounds for this challenge, then 10 for the next, then the next. I'm 1 away from meeting this goal but the darn scale just won't budge!!

As soon as I hit that, I'll start a "new" 10 lb goal. I don't know but the big numbers kind of freak me out. It's better for me to try and do this in smaller increments...
I'm 45, have a terrific DH and we'll be married 20 years in October. Also have two wonderful kids, DS15 and DD11. I'm a working mom and am definitely time-challenged. LOL. I always seem to wish for a couple more hours in every day.
I fit into the "fit but chubby" category. I regularly take a boot-camp style class at 5AM 3x a week, plus try to run several times a week. I'm working on adding some more pilates-type classes but my type-A personality really struggles through those. But I know I need it.. I ran my first half in October and completed the Princess just a few weeks ago (hmmm, anyone notice that the verb "run" didn't appear in the second part of that sentence??! ). I am planning on another half in Sept/Oct and..okay, I'm putting this to paper so that I can try and really hold myself accountable, my goal is between 2:10 and 2:20 finish time. (REALLY want that 2:10 but putting that 20 in there so that I don't freak myself out.. My biggest issue is grazing. Honestly, I'd eat every minute of the day if it didn't mean I'd be as big as a house.
My schedule is a little crazy so no matter how hard I try, I don't post consistently. But I try really hard to pop in and at least follow what is going on...
I think your "mini-goals" are perfect! I think those short term goals are better for your physical health AND your mental health!!
I don't want to graze much at home, but unfortunately I DO want to graze while driving and sitting at swim meets! I usually either plan a "healthy" graze for that time, or try to avoid eating all together.
Have you come up with any good solutions for the grazing?
I've been running around like a crazy woman the last 3 days. However, I can officially say I have everything done and in order.
What am I up to you might ask?
Well, I've been stressed to the max between work and school so I've decided to take a mini trip to Disney this weekend with my best friend. Our flight leaves out of Dallas at 620am tomorrow

. So I'm packed, boarding passes printed off and camera battery and IPOD charging. I'm going to hit the shower, grab a bite, and hit the bed. 330am will be here before I know it.
See you all Monday night, not taking the laptop with me
Wow!! Have fun!
Evening!
Glad to see so many of us moving over to the merged thread. A little bit about me...
I'm CC. It's short for Christina, but who has time to type that out? I've been struggling with my weight on and off since I've been about eight. I'm 26 now. Currently, my weight is doing nothing but going up. I've been bingeing- A LOT. Today was a binge-day though.
My plan for weight loss includes Weight Watchers, frequent trips to the gym, no bingeing, lots of water, and any other exercise I can squeeze in during the day. I plan to wear a pedometer everyday. It doesn't always happen, but that's my goal. Today, I walked over three miles. That's not too bad for having a desk job.
I must be off, lots to do before I hit the pillow. I've been going to work for 6 AM, so I'm in need of sleep.
Have a great weekend everyone!
CC
CC.... I've missed you! Sorry to hear you've been struggling lately. I'd be happy to do some chatting about WW if there is any thing I could do to help.

pjila:
on the weigh in! I knew it would come. You earned it! Darn hormones
Thanks for the cheer! I so needed this weight loss and the encouraging words!
Hello Everyone!!! So glad to be merged and catch up with the BL folks from the past and present.
My name is Lindsay. I am 32 and a mommy of 2 boys. Ryan is almost 6 1/2 and Nick will be 4 in 2 weeks. I have been married to dh for 7 years. I work full time as a practice manager for a pediatricians office. I love my job most days but I struggle often with the balance between work and home. I would love to be a SAHM but unfortunately I would have to hit the lottery for that.
I am an only child but grew up with a close family and my 3 female cousins are like sisters to me. We all still gather every sunday at my nana's and spend most of the day together. This usually involves food. I have grown up being told that making a happy plate is good even if it means eating 2000 calories in one meal.

Somehow I am the only one with a weight issue in my family. Most of my other family members could afford to loose a few lbs but they are definitely not overweight. I must have got the short end of the gene pool.
My real weight issue came after having my boys. I was 5'7" and 145lb when I got married. After my first child I was at 185 and got down to 170 when I got pregnant again with my second. Last april I saw myself in easter pictures and was completely disgusted....I had gotten to 215. I found these boards and joined the summer challenge. I began running again and had a goal of completing the princess half.
I recently completed the princess and had the best time of my life. I have another half marathon coming up on may 1st. I am currently at 184lbs. I had been down to 180 but keep going up and down. I do still want to loose another 34lbs. I have been struggling lately and am really trying to get back on the wagon.
I have made some amazing friends on here and the support is unbelievable.
I cant wait to catch up with you all and meet some of our new team donald losers too.
Linday! I've missed chatting with you and all of my "old" friends! Glad to hear that the Princess was so great for you!
I agree... the support here IS unbelievable. Sometimes, when I'm feeling guilty about the time spend here, I try to remind myself that I WOULDN'T feel guilty about attending a WW meeting and sometimes I get SO MUCH MORE from this group. So I allow myself at least one guilt-free visit a day!!
Took DD15 to the dr today. She has had a shoulder problem that has kept her from swimming the last year. She really wants to swim again but we don't know if she can. The shoulder still hurts and swells with overuse and PT didn't seem to help. So now we go get an MRI and see what shows up. If there is no danger of doing any further damage then she can swim if she can deal with the pain (which I don't think she will).
Praying that DD has good news from the doc. I know how much swimming means to my DD.

I did the same thing when I got preg. with ds. I did two at home and then went to the navy clinic for one. I must have had a look of shock and disbelief because the nurse said honey, aren't you happy?
I'm also in the "bit of disbelief" club when it comes to a pregnancy. DD was planned.... practically to the minute!! She was a "first attempt" pregnancy and pretty much "by the books" except for being 4 weeks early.
DS, on the other hand..... well, suffice to say that there was some BC failure involved in his pregnancy and I was absolutely DUMBSTRUCK when I realized I was PG! But DD was about 2, so the timing was good. And obviously GOD had a plan.... because my DS is absolutely the LIGHT of my life.... I can't imagine my life without him. Not saying DD isn't my sunshine also.... but the relationships are SO different!
i our mommy's night out was ok. we had a bit of a poor showing because there were a few family emergencies (one friend's mom went to the hospital, one friend's hubby had to fly to ireland b/c his sister is dying, another had emergency mouth surgery...sheesh!). there were only 4 of us which was ok b/c we all are friends but it was definitely apparently that i was drinking very SLOWLY and they all noticed. women really are up in everyone's business, huh? lol. i just told them that i'm not drinking alot but i'm not ready to tell them why and we just left it at that. but they were all very happy and not doing a good job trying to hide it.
so...i wound up getting the mozzarella sticks...and i ate...ALL of them. i'm so ashamed! what a pig. then i came home and had some girl scout cookies. what is WRONG with me? this is where i usually throw in the towel and just keep eating until i'm 10 lbs heavier and miserable. NOT THIS TIME. i'm up. i'm having my coffee then having my water and a healthy breakfast. it's freezing out but i'm going to try to get a run in or at least a nice brisk walk since i've been feeling a little fatigued.
anywho, i hope everyone has a great weekend! my cousin's bridal shower is tomorrow and i need to figure out something to wear!
Sorry you're feeling regret about the mozzarella sticks. But you have a GREAT attitude this morning! Put yesterday's mistakes aside.... and have a new and amazing day today! I know you will!
Good morning! Today's question is inspired from my hectic dinner last night.
QOTD 3/25/11 Saturday
Let's talk about the dreaded F words- Fast Food! How do you cope with dinner on the run, do you have a favorite not so bad for you place to go or a favorite lower calorie choice at the not so good for you place? Do you try to avoid these places altogether?
Well... we aren't big on FF. The nearest FF from our house is at least 30 minutes, so we don't have frequent temptations. But we are busy and out a lot, so we do have to plan ahead to avoid making unnecessary FF stops.
The THOUGHT of how absolutely UNHEALTHY most FF is for my body (and my kids bodies) makes it easy enough to avoid most of the time. And if it is a "planned" time out, we will often pack up food/drinks.
That said.... if it is a "treat" or unavoidable for some reason, I've found a few ways to work around the worst of it.
First of all.... SUBWAY! Not always the "fastest" fast food.... but I can eat a really filling sandwich for 6 points! And the rest of the family can eat fairly healthy there as well. DS was stuck on their meatball marinara sandwiches... which are really fatty!!

But most recently I got him to try a ham sandwich with a bit of melted cheddar and he really liked it... so we are moving in the right direction. Plus our Subway will sell you a breakfast sandwich at any time of day!! Eggwhites on a whole grain english muffin with tomato and spinach.... 3 points!
Second.... I have developed a few "go-to" items at standard fastfood places that I can have in an "emergency".....
McDonalds.... fruit and yogurt parfait are suitable for a light meal or heavy snack. If I need more.... I order a side salad and a grilled snack wrap (with no cheese or dressing)..... I cut up the chicken in the wrap and put it on the side salad and throw away the tortilla.
Burger King.... I honestly can't remember the last time we went to a BK.... so I can't comment. Do they have any sort of grilled wrap?? I suppose I'd probably order a salad.
Wendy's..... much more "healthy eating" friendly than the other two... baked potato with broccoli, no cheese.... a bit of their "buttery spread" and salt and I am happy. Or a small chili..... just 3 points! Sometimes I will get a plain baked potato and "steal" a few spoonfuls of chili from DD.... another delicious option. I usually try NOT to eat the entire potato though.... their potatoes are large.... 5 points I believe.
Taco Bell....Thankfully there is only one that I know of within about a 50 mile radius. Can't comment because I can't remember the last time I ate there.
Chick-Fil-A.... not sure if there are any in New England. I've never seen one and never eaten at one.
Orange Julius..... DD likes the lowfat strawberry extreme smoothie...... 8 points for a small, but we share. Other than that, I'd rather STARVE than eat the crap they sell there.
Kentucky Fried chicken..... Probably haven't been inside one in 8 years. Didn't enjoy it then, wouldn't eat it now. But I have heard that they have a grilled chicken option now..........OH WAIT! I was in one last year!! I asked for an NI pamphlet and spent about 10 minutes trying to decide what I COULD eat without blowing the day. As I recall, I ended up with two or three grilled chicken drumsticks and a bottled water. That was it. All of the side dishes were too fatty.
Other fast foods..... the place we are most likely to indulge is fast food is the mall food court. But I have discovered that Bourbon Street cafe has an EXCELLENT blackened fish..... I pair that with a side of green beans (which are a bit greasy, considering they are supposedly steamed) or a side of broccoli (not greasy at all). Super healthy lunch for FF.
If I need to eat "out" but have a few extra minutes, I might even run into a local grocery store and buy one apple, a bottled water, and maybe two slices of lowfat deli turkey or something like that..... or pray that they have a salad bar!
In conclusion..... we try to avoid it at all costs, but when there is just no other option, I've tried hard to come up with some fall back meals for FF.
(Wow.... that was long.... sorry!)
Good Saturday morning BL teams.
I kind of slept in this morning. I woke up about 3:15. I have done this a couple of times this week and just rolled back and went to sleep knowing in an hour the alarm will go off (yes I know very early). This morning I remembered that it was Saturday and I had more times than that. So I went to the bathroom and came back and then I could not get to sleep. SO I went downstairs and read for a while and eventually fell back to sleep. ABout 7 I heard the dog wimpering so I got up to take her out.
I would have been on earlier but dh was on the laptop and we are down to just the laptop. We do want to replace the other computer but it will have to wait until we get some money.
I have a very quiet weekend. Nothing planned

Very strange for us. We were supposed to go to dmil's but I have a very sore throat with a cold coming on and she has the shingles. I don't need any cross contamination. Dh may go by himself.
Hello to all my old and new friends on the Mickey Team.
Hope everyone who has an injury gets over it soon. I have dealt with PF several times. I happen to be on my third set of bone spurs in my feet. I was also diagnosed in Jan with torn meniscus, torn cartiledge, arthritis and a bone spur all in the same spot in my left knee.(My comment to myself was "Anything else?") Things have calmed down with that for now. Every now and then I will be in pain but it is not as bad as it was in November when I had my first flare up
Hello to my Donald Team. Glad to see that everyone made the move okay.
Congrats to Nancy on your preganancy. Hope it is a healthy one.
Have a happy and healthy day.
Good morning Dona! We ALSO have a strangely quiet weekend! I"m gonna try to take DS to see the #7 HP movie at the second run theater.... and church in the a.m. tomorrow.... but NOTHING ELSE on the schedule!!

Well... I just like this smilie this morning! HAPPY sunny-but-cold Saturday morning!!!! Absolutely FRIGID here this morning!
DD's swim event at Harvard went well last night. I think their 400 free relay even placed in the top 10! It was a VERY LONG night. Swimming started at 6:30 pm. DD's final event didn't go off until about 9:30pm. We waited til her friends were done swimming and then we all walked to Harvard Square for burritos (the swimmers were starving) at 11pm!! Then, of course, I took a wrong turn on the way home and drove around for 45 minutes until I found the highway!!

I was pretty dang aggravated. We made it home at 2:25... and I think DD and I were both asleep by 2:30!! Tough drive for me, not being a night owl!!
On the food front.... evening went okay. I had brought my dinner and snacks along (and journaled them before I even left the house) and tried to dole them out to myself slowly throughout the evening. Fortunately I wasn't starving by the time we went out for the burritos. I ordered a small appetizer (mini quesidilla).... very tiny tortilla with a bit of cheese and some veggies and a diet soda (needed the caffeine for the ride home!!).
DD and I had planned a small splurge on some Swedish Fish for the ride home. Unfortunately I got distracted when I got lost and ended up eating more than I had originally budgeted for..... plus I barely tasted them since I was so busy being aggravated about being lost. It was really stupid. I didn't even realize that I was absently bringing hand to mouth!
Fortunately it wasn't a very big bag and DD is sure that she ate the majority. I journaled the splurge the best I could estimate and it really didn't derail my overall day too badly.
I also got in some unexpected extra exercise... when it was time to head out for burritos I wanted to bring all our bags to the car.... so I took a very brisk walk to the car carrying about 30 pounds worth of wet towels and books! And I didn't want to hold up the group, so I literally RAN back (plus it was really cold!). I figured it to be nearly a half mile both directions! Then, of course, the brisk walk down to Harvard Square and back! I figure I got in a legit 30 more minutes of exercise!
Well.... even though I was up very late, I told myself that I wouldn't sleep later than 8 am. But, of course, the cat is used to my regular schedule and was on me by 7 am, wondering why I wasn't up yet!! I did lay there until almost 8. But then I got moving.... washed the dishes the men left behind last night

, carry in all the bags from last night, start a load of wash with all of last night's icky towels, sort the mail from yesterday, and a bit of picking up around the downstairs. But I've been sititng here far too long now! It is 10 am and I haven't even eaten yet! Highly unusual for me! Gotta go have my Fiberone!!
I'll try to pop back on later today!........................P
