Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge--for Losers and Maintainers

Wow this thread is moving!

Thank you all for the book recommendations.

After a fabulous week last week, I was not on plan this weekend! I am feeling very bloated and am looking forward to getting it together today.

Morning all! I'm at work today, so no time to be chatty. I probably won't get back on here until mid-afternoon, at best. Just realized I never sent my weight to Tracey! GOtta get that done NOW!.............P

Hello! Thank God my crazy weekend is over! Now I just have to get through a busier than normal work week with only one day off. Today is an all day shift, which normally isn't so bad, but because of an incident last week when my store manager was on vacation, I am no longer allowed to have my iPad on the sales floor. Don't you just hate it when one person abuses the power and ruins the fun for every one else? (the incident was caused buy one of the other managers, which makes it even worse). So no more Internet, cruise research or BL updates while I am at work, at least for a few months. I am allowed to have my iPod touch though, so I can follow along on that and read my kindle book. Plus I have my DIning reviews to finish.

QOTD 3/28/11 Monday
Speaking of reviews, have you ever done a trip report or dining review on these boards? Are you planning on doing one for an upcoming trip?

The dining report I am working on is my second one. I have never done a trip report, but I've always wanted to. It just seems like so much work! I've been reading some cruise trip reports and I think I might like to try one of those after my cruise.

I always weigh in first thing Friday morning but somehow I almost always forget to send it in until the last minute. I don't know how I do that, lol.

Glad you had a great time, I'm sure you will recover soon. I over did my eating Saturday night and it showed yesterday on the scale. Luckily one day later I'm back to normal.

Hi everyone! I was on vacation for two weeks (and lost 0.5 lbs!) but now have to restart again... I hope this thread will help getting into the weight loss mind again! :goodvibes
a loss on vacation is awesome! I hope you had a great time. It doesn't take too long to get back into the swing of things.
Morning all!

I would really like to still be sleeping but have to get the kids off to school and then do some errands and then go to work for an hour! I've got the early stages of a cold starting so I'm not very bouncy this morning. I think Izzie and I may take it easy and watch movies this afternoon and I may nap if at all possible. Got more laundry going now and need to make Ash's lunch. I'm so congested this morning so I should probably go take something so I can breathe again.

Keep those weigh ins coming! Seeing some people with good losses this week! The weigh ins are very close yet again!

TTFN :tigger:
I hope you feel better, try the zycam to reduce your symptoms. My DH gets hit hard when he gets sick and this stuff made a huge difference the last time. He got the kind that you spray in your mouth every few hours. It's minty.

Good Monday morning everyone.

The weekend is gone and I feel like I have done nothing. It was nice to relax.

Sorry I can't be on longer this morning. I have to get a lot of things done at school this morning. A friend who battled breast cancer 2 years ago broke her right wrist 7 weeks ago. This weekend she broke her left wrist so we need to go and get some things done for her classes.

Will be back later today.

Have a happy and healthy day.
Your weekend sounds blissful! I am thinking of treating my day off that way this week, but the laundry is piling up and I need to get groceries and should go to the gym...Hmmm, might not work out for me this week:eek:

Nancy That is a little too close to comfort for me, living that close to a zoo that can't keep track of it's dangerous animals:scared1: my DH is terrified of snakes:rotfl: he would make me move!

QOTD:

I have done some dining reviews and then a TR for my last trip. It definitely is a lot of work, but I met a lot of really lovely people on the TR boards. It was definitely worth the effort and it is great to have the reviews and the TR to remind myself of the trip!

tggrrstarr, can you provide us with a link to your dining review? I would love to check it out. :goodvibes

I'm excited to report that I've had 2 OP days in a row! Now, if I can continue this...That tends to be my routine. I do well Friday through Sunday and then fall apart on Monday. I'll have to really plan this week out. I have lots of my weeklies left so hopefully that will help.
:thumbsup2Great job, Cc. You can continue it!! You're off to a great start. I had 2 days off program, and am committing to journalling again starting this morning.

mikamah What movie are you going to see?

I could use some PD sent to ds2. Something came up and it would be great if it could work for him. It would be a major committment for him and for us since he would need to find a place to live for the summer. I don't want to say anything more since I don't want to jinx it.
We saw Diary of a wimpy kid. It was very good, the kids loved it. I think I liked the first one better, but they both were funny, and do encourage kids to make the right choices. If you know the stories, I started calling my ds- Rowley. He's the character who can't lie, and is always a true friend, but in this movie, they were looking at a pretty girl and he says to his friend, "wow, she's almost as pretty as my mom." It was so funny, so I started teasing michael.
Sending you pixie dust for ds and hope it all works out for all of you.

I also made up a container of fruit salad..... I can finally find a few decent berries in the store lately (although I paid dearly for them).
P
We love berries, but it kills me to pay for them, and then they're not good. I've been buying the frozen Wylers raspberries and putting them in my yogurt. They're pretty good but a little tart. Hope you can sneak some time in to dis during your work day today.;)

I'm back!!!!! We had a great time! Got in some dancing at the club at the hotel Friday night. It was 80s night. Had a few drinks and then sat up chatting until 1:30. Yesterday redwalker and I did a 5K and then had some lunch and then hung out with our friends in the hot tub for a bit. We then watched a movie and chatted more. Ordered supper from the restaurant and then we talked again until 1:30AM! I never stay up that late. This morning when I woke up I read for a bit. We checked out at 11:30 and stopped at the outlets and I got some Star Wars cookie cutters, cupcake holders, a lunch box that came with 2 sandwich cutters. Ash wants a Star Wars b'day party so that will help with that.
When we got to redwalkers house she asked if anyone needed a 10 speed bike and I said I was looking for a new bike for Ash. We'll get some new tires for it in a few weeks and clean it up!
Sounds like a great weekend. So happy we're all together again too.

Hey y'all!!! Did ya miss me?????

Who won the bet as to how many times I'd be on the DIS this weekend?? Big fat ZERO!
I figured at least once a day, so I didn't win.:lmao: Must feel so nice to have gotten so much done. When michael is older, I'd love to do some cropping weekends. My friends dd likes to scrap, so we talk of switching kids for a weekend, and I'll scrap with her dd, and my ds will hang with her ds, but we never seem to find the time. But all this talk of crops is inspiring me to get going. Hope you had a nice, relaxing, stress-free weekend.

QOTD 3/27/11 Sunday.
Are you going to buy Tangled on DVD on Tuesday? Have you seen it? What Disney movie are you looking forward to if not?
I won't buy it, but am looking forward to seeing it. I made ds watch princess and the frog and he loved it, and he does want to see Tangleds. He loved Enchanted too. I never saw Oceans last year, and it's on Netflix, so I want to watch that with ds one night, and the new Earth day movie coming out is African Cats and we saw the preview yesterday and it looks great.

The sun is finally out but there is snow covering the roofs! Uggh! At least the sun is FINALLY out. It's been overcast for days. It's going to snow again tonight. The run blew chunks. I won't bore everyone with the details, but I did talk about it on my journal. It was a hard day.
I am thinking we're going to go right from winter to summer this year, and skip spring. Sorry the run was tough.:hug:Hang in there, and we're always here to listen if you want to vent. You've been through so much, it must be so frustrating.

Week 11 Healthy Habits Results

Congratulations to our 3 participants, all from Team Donald:

SettinSail

Congratulations to SettinSailfor earning all 21 HH points! She is also this week's prize winner! Please PM me your address. I'm happy to send it overseas.
Whoo hoo Shawn!! Thank you CC for running HH.
Now that we're merged, maybe we can get more hh participants this week! Don't have to do every habit, every day, but just as much as you want.

And the roasted broccoli was delish! And I didn't use the grill.... I cooked the pork in the oven.... too cold out to stand by the grill! The sun was shining brightly here today, but it was really cold. I am SO ready for summer!
P
Summer is coming, right. It has to.;) roasted brocolli sounds good. Do you just do a little olive oil on that too?

I'd love to split if that works for you. We have to go to NH to my inlaws on the 29th and will be back late afternoon on Sunday the 1st and I'd be more than happy to take over then. Let me know what works for you and thanks
Sounds good. I'll plan to start the week, and do fri, sat, sun. That works fine since I have more free time on the weekends anyway.

Click the multi quotes on the ones you want to use, go to the thread you want to post them on and you can also multi quote there. Then click the Reply button. The posts from that thread will show up in the box. Scroll down to the bottom of the shaded part (where the posting box and smilies are) and there will be a small line that says something to the effect of "You have x posts from other threads" and you have the option to select these posts or deselect these posts. Select them and they will show up in your posting box to be posted on the thread you are currently on.

You should also be able to multi quote on one thread, then click reply, highlight and copy all of the text then go to the next thread and click reply and paste them into the box. But the way above is actually easier.
You are so knowledgable about these things. Thanks.

I have to report that I did not get my run in today but I have eaten fairly well
I have the exact opposite. I got my run/walks in but ate poorly. It's tough to get it all in. Oh well, hope to eat and move right today.

DVCCruiser- I will definitely let you know when we do another meet. Nothing in the works that I know of now. We are talking about one at the Earl of Sandwich when it opens in Boston.
ooh, that sounds good. I was trying to think of a place, woods, beach or state park that maybe we could do a BL meet at and walk, picnic some day when the warm weather finally arrives.

The weekend is gone and I feel like I have done nothing. It was nice to relax.
:thumbsup2This is nice to hear. I think I've known you for 2-3 years, and can probably count on one hand how many times you've done nothing. Glad you were able to relax this weekend.

i i put on my facebook something like how the snake got out and how i'm never leaving my house again! it is a rare egyptian cobra! ew! yes, i realize i live 4 miles away from the zoo. it's been SO cold lately that i reallly think it's dead. i was talking about it with one of my aunts at my cousin's shower yesterday and she is convinced somebody stole it. EW! i have an aunt and uncle that live across the street and when one of their kids was younger he had a little snake as a pet. i wouldn't go in their house for 5 years!
how is everyone today? any big plans for the week? for me it's just teaching mommy and me classes, having a friend over wednesday, and getting through until next monday when i have my first appt with my OB.
I think the missing snake would freak me out a bit too, but I think your right about the cold. Phew, something good about this endless winter.
You teach the mommy and me classes? How fun. Low key week here, ds has his first mcas- the state testing on wed and thurs, so want to wind down each night early.

Keep those weigh ins coming! Seeing some people with good losses this week! The weigh ins are very close yet again!
Thanks Tracey. I'll pm you as soon as i post this.

Congrats on losing on a 2 week vacation!!!

Hello! Thank God my crazy weekend is over! Now I just have to get through a busier than normal work week with only one day off. Today is an all day shift, which normally isn't so bad, but because of an incident last week when my store manager was on vacation, I am no longer allowed to have my iPad on the sales floor. Plus I have my DIning reviews to finish.
That's so frustrating when one person ruins things for you all.

I've never done a trip report, but do think about doing them after most trips. I am loving Lindsays trip report on the princess trip, and every time i read an update, I think I'm going to start my own, but then something comes up, and I don't do it. I don't have a trip in the future, so this would be a good one to do, but it does tend to get put on the back burner.

Good morning everyone.
We had a nice weekend with my brother and his family, but I did indulge too much. Though, I ate a good dinner saturday, but my other brother brought minicupcakes which are my nemesis lately, and I ate a few of them. Yesterday after the movie went out for thai food, which I've only had once, so my brother and sil ordered and we shared, but spring rolls and tempura were delicious, and i definitely ate too much. Again, today is a new day, and I stepped on the scale and i actually was the same as friday, so I know if I can get and stay on track for the rest of the week, I can still see a loss.

Hope you all have a nice monday.

Monday QOTD: Yes, I've done a few trip reports. I find it much easier to bring my laptop with me and type up each days happenings just before bed. Sometimes it is hard as I am exhausted, but it is always nice to read through later. We are not foodies so no interest in doing a dining review.

I thought that I had finally kicked my cold on Friday, but the last couple of days has brought a new cold or a flare up of the first one. Last night I had terrible cramps for hours before the bathroom runs started. Of course I have my interview at 11 this morning. I've taken dimetapp and cough syrup so hopefully things will be under control for the interveiw.

Youngest son had trouble falling asleep last night, then was up at 12:15 to go to the potty. He was sure that he was starving so I fixed him a snack before he went back to sleep. He was miserable getting up this morning and just wanted to stay home to sleep. I made him go to school since I cannot be home with him today. Hopefully he fully woke up and is doing fine now. He should be able to get to bed a bit earlier tonight if he chooses too.

DH will be busy with all 3 boys having lacrosse at different times. Of course DH coaches Hunter's group which is from 7-8 PM. I work tonight so I'm no help. He might as well adjust, such is life.

I've never tried the rolling hills on the TM, gonna have to try it. Looks like we might do a partial bonus at work so I'll be able to get my polar soon!

Here's the link where I found my rolling hills workout: http://www.menshealth.com/fitness/treadmill-workout-run-incline/page/2

I didn't go quite as fast as 4mph, I just went up to 3.7 because I'm sure my legs are no where near as long as the audience that this was intended for :lmao: And it is a great workout!

I hope you get your bonus at work :yay:

**********************************

Well, we got through the weekend and it was.......well, messy :lmao: DS still doesn't quite have the hang of it, but it was definitely a step in the right direction so long as he doesn't come to a screeching halt and protest like he did last time

Since we were kind of stuck at home we really didn't do a whole lot this weekend, but I am kind of proud of myself because I packed a whole week's worth of snack! So the refrigerator here at work is packed with my little snack bags of grapes, cheese, etc :thumbsup2 That ought to help me keep on track. I think next week I'll also prepare snack bags for the refrigerator at home, that way when I get home from work, starving to death, I can just reach in and grab a bag of grapes or whatever and steer clear of the bad things left out on the counters.

Getting my 52 minute run in today at lunch. I'll be doing speed intervals to make the time go by fast, don't think I'll mess around much with the incline today.

Currently working on water, having a lean cuisine with a salad for lunch, and no clue what's for dinner tonight.

Have a great day everyone!

:wave2: Just a quick check in. Started off the morning in Urgent Care with DD11 getting her thumb x-rayed. It has been causing her terrible pain to move it since yesterday. She has no idea how she might have hurt it, she doesn't remember doing anything. :confused3 She has a pretty high pain tolerance so I am sure she just didn't even realize she had done something when it happened. But since she really doesn't complain about pain when she is standing there crying because it hurts so much I know there is a major problem. Fortunately nothing broken, so just diagnosed as a Sprained Thumb and put a huge splint on it to keep it immobilized mostly just to make her more comfortable.

Finally got her to school and I just got home and now have to find breakfast/lunch and get some things done so no time to hang on the computer right now.

Thanks everyone for the good vibes sent to me for a successful Cultural Showcase!!! It went really well. Everyone had a great time. The fashion show was really fun for the kids! I was so relieved when the night was over:) I was lucky to have such great parent and teacher support for the event and everyone pitched in to help. It all works so well when you have lots of help!!!!

Hey, just like losing weight or maintaining weight...it all works better when you have help

This weekend was a successful one for me for reasons too......
I'm the leader of my DD9's girl scout troop and also the cookie mom.
We wrapped up our cookie sales with our final booth sale on Saturday morning. :cool1::cool1:I was a little worried when we only sold a few boxes in the first hour, but luckily sales really picked up and we sold out by end!!!! What a relief that was. I always worry that I'm going to have tons of cookies left over and no way to get rid of them. I am soooooo happy to have all of those cookies out of my house!!!!! (As you all can imagine)

I was really OP this weekend and expect that I will lose this week after staying at the same weight...give or take a few pounds.... for the last few months.

I'm headed out to lunch with my sister....She's one of my best friends and we haven't been out for a while so I'm really excited to see her. We're going to a great place called First Watch that serves only breakfast and lunch. I always get the "Triathlete Omelet"...It's an egg white omelet with vegetables and salsa, served with a fruit cup and dry English muffin on the side.....it's really tasty!!!

I hope everyone has a super day!:banana::banana::banana:

My interview this morning seemed to go well. It is at a VA Hospital in the billing office. I have done medical billing before so I'm sure that I have plenty of experience. It is a temporary job though, ending June of 2012. It would give me a year of federal experience and make it easier to apply for future jobs though. They want to make a decision by the end of the week, but apparently have many interviews between now and then. All that I can do is hope for the best.

Redwalker is good! Busy with her kids, hubby and the puppy! She's coming up on Wednesday to walk before her dog class. She's maintaining nicely. She's planning on doing the 1/2 marathon in Lowell in October. I hope to do it with her.

Glad to hear that!

Wow..... does she have a bone issue or just bad luck?? I'm sure she appreciates any help you can give.

i how is everyone today? any big plans for the week? for me it's just teaching mommy and me classes, having a friend over wednesday, and getting through until next monday when i have my first appt with my OB.
have a great day! :)

Any chance of hearing the heartbeat yet???

Hi everyone! I was on vacation for two weeks (and lost 0.5 lbs!) but now have to restart again... I hope this thread will help getting into the weight loss mind again! :goodvibes

You stinker! I've never, ever, ever, ever, LOST weight on a vacation!! NEVER EVER! It doesn't seem to matter where I go, how much walking I do, or what.... but vacation ALWAYS involves some eating treats, so I always gain, at least a bit. Good job!!

QOTD 3/28/11 Monday
Speaking of reviews, have you ever done a trip report or dining review on these boards? Are you planning on doing one for an upcoming trip?
.

I always keep notes and type up a report, but it is for my scrapbooks.... not for the Dis. I'm not a great writer.... not particularly witty or humorous.... just the facts mostly.

We also are not big foodies.... in fact, we rarely eat a TS meal while at DIsney.... usually just one character meal for fun. So no dining reviews for us.

I did write up a hotel review (for the Orlando area hotels board) once in 2004 after we had stayed at the Homewood Suites in Kissimmee for a second time. That's it.

We love berries, but it kills me to pay for them, and then they're not good. I've been buying the frozen Wylers raspberries and putting them in my yogurt. They're pretty good but a little tart. Hope you can sneak some time in to dis during your work day today.;)

Summer is coming, right. It has to.;) roasted brocolli sounds good. Do you just do a little olive oil on that too?

I've actually been able to buy good blueberries twice in a row now.... and the strawberries are actually tasting a bit like strawberries and not just reddish plastic.

I use PAM spray on the broccoli. I spray the jelly roll pan, toss on the broccoli, and then spray over the broccoli.... just enough so it doesn't stick or get dried out. DH, DD and I really love it like that.... we ate a huge amount last night! DS still asks for his steamed.

Tomorrow night.... roasted cauliflower with our baked potato bar!

Monday QOTD: Yes, I've done a few trip reports. I find it much easier to bring my laptop with me and type up each days happenings just before bed. Sometimes it is hard as I am exhausted, but it is always nice to read through later. We are not foodies so no interest in doing a dining review.

Sorry you're feeling poorly. With three boys, I'm sure you are frequently told "I'm starving!" 10 minutes after they eat!!

Great job packing up the snacks! I prepped a bunch of veggies yesterday while making my soup... and it was so easy to grab a big handful of each today for my snack! Love it when I prepare stuff ahead!

Do you use hard containers or ziploc bags??? I try to use hard containers because I hate washing ziploc bags and I get horrified at the waste in just using them once. But that said, I usually end up washing a few bags a day.

:wave2: Just a quick check in. Started off the morning in Urgent Care with DD11 getting her thumb x-rayed. It has been causing her terrible pain to move it since yesterday. Always something with kids, isn't it? Hope the thumb heals quickly!

First of all.... glad all your cookies are gone!!

Second.... the cultural night sounds great!

Third.... I love the sound of that omelet.... I love egg white omelets with vegetables and salsa. So many places will offer Egg Beaters, but I prefer just regular egg whites. Do you share it or each get one??

My interview this morning seemed to go well. It is at a VA Hospital in the billing office. I have done medical billing before so I'm sure that I have plenty of experience. Good afternoon friends!!!

The day is (thankfully) winding down. I've really gotta start looking for another job. I just really dread this one. I guess it isn't so bad, but I just wasn't cut out to be a teacher! Not enough patience I guess.

Busy time after school today, despite the fact that DD has the entire week off from swim (WOOHOO!). DS is working the lighting crew for the middle school play and wouldn't you know, their rehearsals are this week and next.... the one time I would have had "off" from kid taxiing! oh well.

After school today I pick up DD at the HS at 3:30 (staying after to work on Algebra concepts) and then DS doesn't need to get picked up until 4:30.... but it doesn't make sense (gas-wise) to go all the way home in between.... but then that means that DD won't get home until about 5 and then has to leave at 5:45 for Rainbow Girls. Not sure yet what I'll do. Probably drive her all the way home and then go back for DS.

Salmon chowder on the menu tonight..... thankfully it is a quick recipe!! Side salad along with that... and maybe biscuits for the guys. Not sure what DD will eat.... probably last night's leftovers.

I've absolutely GOT to fit in a workout tonight. I was going to do it this morning and had the alarm all set.... even slept in my workout clothes!! But I woke a few minutes before the alarm with a bad headache. I got up and took Advil and went back to bed and reset the clock for 5:45, so no workout this morning.

Since DD is "off" of swim this week, I won't be heading to the Y, so I've got to be sure to get in a really good workout at home every day this week! Wish it was warm enough to head out every day.... but they are stating that temps are running at least 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. We are still wearing winter coats and mittens! ICK.

Just 38 days until my Mother/Daughter trip to WDW! We are getting really excited! Gotta find some time this week to try on all our shorts and t-shirts. We have a few matching t's (some we already had and one set we just bought). Would like more but haven't found anything great yet.

Not really happy with the Disney hours/EMH schedule for the days we will be there. There will not be ANY EMH hours at the MK for our entire visit. :( And we are having trouble juggling our schedule for the other parks because they only offering Wishes one night while we are there.... and it is the same night as Fantasmic and EMH at DHS..... so frustrating. But I'm sure we'll work it out.

I'm hoping that the hours will end up getting extended.... when DS and I were there essentially this same weekend last year, we had lots of EMH and late evening hours!

Anyhow....... just rambling here! I'll try to hop on tonight after dinner!.................P

I would like to join the Biggest Loser. I have lost about 20 pounds over the last 8 months. But I am kind of stuck right now. So I need a little incentive to keep going. I have another 25 or so to lose by August. I have my 30th high school reunion then and my daughter's wedding is August 27th. Thanks!

I've been bad about checking in again and this being my first visit since the merger...WOW, things are really moving quickly! It's been fun reading and getting to know everyone.

I'll start today with a quick (re)introduction. My name is Lori. I've recently turned 44 (not sure how that happened:rolleyes1) and have been married to my DH for almost 19 years. I'm a mostly SAHM to my two DD, but manage to keep plenty busy like the rest of you. My weight has bounced up and down since college, and in 2008 I managed a 30+ pound weight loss. Unfortunately, it all came back. (why is it I can't find lost things when I need them, but the weight shows right back up?)

I decided to join this challenge to try and motivate myself to stay on track and so far, the Donalds have helped me tremendously. I have some good news to share this week and am happy to be able to share with the new, bigger team! I finally managed the one pound loss I needed to return to ONE-derland! :dance3: I know I've said it before, but this time I mean it...I'm never going back!! Reading some of your stories and seeing the success many of you are having is really motivating! I have a long way to go, but I know that small steps will end with great rewards!

Regarding the QOTD, on our last trip to WDW I used an app on my phone to keep a detailed journal of our every move. As a family we would take our notes while in queues or on busses and while we never posted the intended TR, we have a great diary of our vacation!

Gotta run for now...I've already spent waaayyyy too much time reading and catching up here.

Hope you're feeling better soon and ds did ok in school. Glad the interview went well, and sending pixie dust you'll get the job.:wizard:

Since we were kind of stuck at home we really didn't do a whole lot this weekend, but I am kind of proud of myself because I packed a whole week's worth of snack! So the refrigerator here at work is packed with my little snack bags of grapes, cheese, etc :thumbsup2 That ought to help me keep on track. I think next week I'll also prepare snack bags for the refrigerator at home, that way when I get home from work, starving to death, I can just reach in and grab a bag of grapes or whatever and steer clear of the bad things left out on the counters.
that's a great idea. I try to do that with snack foods for ds, and that way when I do eat them, it's not the whole bag, but a snack bag full.

Glad it's not broken, and hope she feels better soon.

:worship: I could never be a cookie mom and have all those boxes in my house. Glad you were able to sell them all this weekend.

I've had those red plastic strawberries too.:lmao: The roasted cauliflower is my absolute favorite, but I'll have to try the brocolli. Bummer on wishes being only one night. I hope it gets changed as the trip nears. 38 days will fly by. So excited for you!!

Welcome to the challenge. The first page will explain how it all works, and Rose&Mike is the hostess and she will assign you to a team, either DOnald or Mickey for weightkeeping purposes. We just merged to this thread and chat here. We'd love for you to tell us a little about yourself. Hs reuinion and mother of the bride are some great incentives. Congrats on 20 pounds lost.

I'veI finally managed the one pound loss I needed to return to ONE-derland! :dance3: I know I've said it before, but this time I mean it...I'm never going back!!
Whoo hoo!! Onederland!!!!party::rockband::jumping1::rainbow::cheer2: So excited for you!! And you inspire me to get off my butt and go out and run. Thanks!! I want to join you soon.

It's cold and windy, so I'm procrastinating my run/walk. I need to do it though. My eating is back on track, and we have leftovers from sat night for dinner tonight, and tomorrow's lunch, so I have no excuse not to get my exercise in. So ready for spring to really come and stay.

Tracey- That is awesome you're thinking of doing the lowell half marathon. I thought about that one, but there's one in Salem, the next town over from my that I'm thinking of doing in september. So excited for you. I remember seeing pics from your first 5k, have you done any others, or are you planning any more? I just registered for the LouisseRosetti 5k in beverly in june. It's a womens race, and it was my first one I did last year. I heard there's a mothers day, womens race in Salisbury called run for the roses that is really nice too.

Ok, off to run now.

Feeling so run down today! I gave my co=worker a massage since my other client called in sick with a sinus infection. Wish she had called my cell phone like I asked her too so I didn't have to leave my house today. I would've taken a nap or just gone back to bed. Oh well! I've had a shake for b'fast and lunch and then had some M&Ms and chips. PMS is kicking my butt today plus being tired from the weekend.

Running up to Salem, NH in the morning to pick up our taxes and also pick up Tangled! Can't wait to watch it again! Unfortunately that may have to wait until the weekend!

Watching Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince again! Izzie's choice! Can't wait until Deathly Hallows part 1 comes out so we can watch that again!

Ash is home from school! UGH another project. She has choices and of course picks the one that I can't really help her with as I don't sew! Maybe I can convince her to do the game project!

Gotta get her to do her homework and then start dinner since she has dancing tonight!

TTFN :tigger:

Hi Everyone!!! This is my first time on the merged thread. Its nice to "see" everyone again. For those I dont know. My name is Jeanette. Im newly engaged and planning my October wedding. I have been on my final weight loss journey since last January. I have lost 60 pounds and am wrestling with the final 5:confused3 I never thought I could make it this far, but Im very happy I have thanks to the help of this BL board, friends, and my dedication.

So I had a nice long weekend. I worked more on my fish extender and gifts for my upcoming cruise. I attended a craft fair where I found someone who can make my birdcage veil. I also went to the Disneyland Hotel last night to eat at Steakhouse 55:cloud9: Everytime I go to that hotel, I always try to convince my DF that we should stay there for the night even though we dont even have any clothes packed :rotfl: Maybe one day I will convince him. Steakhouse 55 was fantastic like always- food and service. They have these great pictures on the walls with different celebrities like Shirley Temple, Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, etc. The waiter told us that the majority of those pictures were taken there. I had no idea that the restaurant has been there for so many years. It made me like the place even more.

I have exactly one month till I leave on my cruise. My plan is to lose these last five pounds by then. Now that I have told you all, hopefully it shall happen!:goodvibes

I hope everyone has had a good day. I went to the chiropractor after work to be tortured, oh I mean to have my itb rehabbed.:thumbsup2 It is just excruciating. Then I went to the Y and did 3 miles on the elliptical and lifted weights and did my rehab exercises. Anyhow, sorry I didn't do replies today. I'm feeling a little stressed out about "stuff" but hopefully will be back on track tomorrow.:goodvibes Oh, and some good news, I think I am going to lower my maintain weight a pound or two this week, so that's kind of exciting.:goodvibes

Have a great evening everyone.:goodvibes

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! :wave2:

I just pm tigger813 my starting weight. I am a bit heavier today because we just had a weekend away. But I find that comes off pretty fast. It's the weight that creeps up on you that is tough to get rid of.

I have never had a weight problem until I was diagnosed with a thyroid problem 6 years ago. Then I quit smoking 4 years ago. So the weight has just crept right up on me. I gained 45 pounds over about a 5 year time frame. I have lost about 20 pounds over the last 8 months. But it is time to get serious and lose the next 25 or so.

I manage a group of office admins at a church. But I don't sit as much as you would think. It is actually this new job that has helped me. I am constantly running up and down the stairs to help the different admins with setting up rooms or with computer issues. I am pretty active at work most days. I have been staying away from processed food and sugar as much a possible. But the church has snacks like cupcakes and muffins around all the time. It can be torture!

tiger813, I love Harry Potter too! I have all the movies on DVD. But I have them on my DVR too for quick access. When I can't sleep at night I watch one as my kind of comfort movie. Weird I know.

As I said before, my 30th high school reunion is in August. And my daughter is getting married that month too. I really need to get as much of this weight off by the end of June. I need to order my dress no later than then. Our next trip to WDW is the second week of May. DH and I are running in the Expedition Everest 5K on the 7th. Wish us luck! It is our first race.
