Big changes. I didn't notice this posted on our Cdn Board yet & with all our talk of the great exchange rates lately you need to be aware of your new Ticket Purchase options. Details are on Mousesavers & wdwig & some discussion I've seen so far in Budget Board here. Back to my calculations & crystal-ball gazing regarding purchases for our December 2005 trip!

You can also find it oin the DVC board here it is great you an get a 7 day hopper 1 park per day expires 14 days after activation for 199 bucks.

On mousesavers they say that a current Dreammaker package can be converted to the new ticket plan. We just booked the At-Par Dreamaker for March. I'm thinking the dining option sounds really cool to add - anyone have any thoughts on how that might work?

Who can't believe that, after months of figuring and comparing, they've gone and changed all the choices!

Ok I am absolutely missing something with the Magic Your Way Tickets......I wanted to buy AP's because we were going to be in the parks about 9 days.
I'm helping a friend buy PH's - 5 day and now I'm looking at the 'Magic Your Way' and it would be cheaper for her to buy the 'your way' tickets. Am I figuring this right? :earboy2:

Well, I just crunched ALL those numbers and I'm going to get the "10 day never expire, hopper & all the extra magic stuff" tickets whenever the dollar levels out @ 1.18 (which is probabely going to be soon), even if there is no extra advance discount, it's still going to only be $389.00US (10days & 5 options)- the 7 day "whatever" tickets are $268US that's way cheaper than the current 7php now and they have Disney Quest included!!!

This is all so confusing! I need one more adult ticket, I held off on getting one in case I needed a AP, and I don't so now I need one.. what is my BEST option.. I was going to pay 260.00 for the PHP so a little more for 5 days is not bad... as long as they never expire.. need opinions please... and the $$ on mousesavers, is that the advance price. I tried to figure it all out last night but things were just too crazy around here to concentrate.. lol

Thanks for your advice!

I'm confused too! Was going to buy PAP's for Park, PI, DQ and Waterparks-so what would the equivalent 9 day never expire ticket cost?

The 10 day park hopper, never expire, 5 plus' advance price is $366.36 including tax found this on mousesavers.

OK so if I get a 7 day-your way (199.00) and add the park hopping(35.00) a ticket is 234.00

If I buy the 7 day park hopper now before these tickets become available I pay 334.00
Is this right? I can't believe that I would be saving 100.00 just because I have no pluses added, which I would not use anyway!

Am I missing something? I didn't see anything about a "dining option"?
Anyone know any more?

melindaandrob- yes you would save $100 but it is not just because of the plusses it is also because it will expire after 14 days.

iluvwesties- the dining option is $35/day for adults and $10for under 9 and includes one snack(popcorn, ice-
cream, or a drink), one counter service meal(beverage included), and one sit down meal(app, entree, dessert, beverage, and tip).

Sounds like a good deal to me. The only drawback I can see is if it is only included with a package and you have to pay rack rates for your room.

Hockey Mom....where did you find the info for the dining options? Which resturants are these? Are they like dining vouchers/
Thanks
Pkitty

Pkitty- it is all listed on mousesavers. It seems all most sit down restaurants are included except for a few signature places like Fulton's, Coral reef, and a few others will be required to use 2 of your sit down portion. I really don't know how they will be monitored. I wonder if it will be something similar to AK and their voucher system.

Perhaps they will handle it like the old "silver" or "Gold" plans where they put points on your room key at checkin. You would then use them whenever you wanted - some places requiring two "points" etc.

I kind of just came across all this information and started wondering. If I have a 5 day PHP ticket that hasn't been used (bought for 2006), will it still be good? and what about if you have a PHP ticket with all park days used, but all options still available (PI), can I still use those options?

I phoned about adding a dining package to my canadian $ at par package and she thought it was an excellent idea. She saids she tells other Canadian guests about it but most refuse because it's too much for initial outlay. She thought it was an excellent idea, because we would be getting the add on at par as well. When she tried to quote me a price the lines were down, so Disney will get back to me. However, my understanding, is the $35/pp/pd someone quoted is only for the new system starting in January. What I have booked is Can. $ at par, under the old system. The pricing is different. I believe it's called the Silver Plan. You get points, and you can use them on meals, golfing, spa treatments etc. When I get a quote and learn more I will let you know. However, time is running out on the Can. $ at par offer, so we must decide shortly.

ChisJo, yes, your new 5 DPHP and any options left on an old ticket are still valid. They will not expire with the new ticketing system. I have lots of options left too and will not have to add that on to the new tickets for quite some time. ;)

Thanks! I was kind of worried about that.

I was just wondering that If these new tickets are a better deal, why are there links saying "get your tickets before prices increase on Jan 2nd"?
Does this new ticket structure start on Jan 2nd or can we do advance purchases under the new system now?
