It closes on the 11th of January. Make sure that you make a reservation for the BBQ before you get there. We tried to get in on Dec 2nd, and they were taking reservations only, and no walk-ups.

Try daily, if you really want to go. With the 24-hour cancellation policy, some people are over planning and cancelling near that 24-hour window.

I kept at it and snagged a reservation for Tuesday! Thank you! W00t!

Just got back and my wife and I had a farewell dinner at BTRBBQ. It was excellent...the server let me know they will not be taking walk ups anymore. The restaurant is booked through the 10th.

We were told today that they ARE still taking walk ups, but the line can be long (someone waited 3 hours the other day just to be first in line!) and there are no guarantees for a table. But with the forecast calling for rain most of next week, I don't know if the restaurant will even be open for much of the week.

It will be interesting to hear what happens next week if it does end up raining a lot. I had asked previously and the server said that if it rains, they do not open. There would be a lot of disappointed guests if the BBQ doesn't open much during its last week of operation.

Our reservation was cancelled because of rain, but we didn't know until the very last minute. The Dine Line CM said that we might be notified ahead of time, if rain closed the restaurant for the whole day. But if the rain was hit or miss, we would have to go to the podium to find out whether the restaurant would be open. It really can be a last minute thing. It started raining about 10 minutes before our reservation time, and the restaurant decided to close for the night. I don't know what happened to the guests who were already seated and getting wetter by the minute. I agree that there will be many disappointed guests if reservations end up being cancelled due to weather.

I too hope that everyone who wants to eat at BTRBBQ has the chance to do so. We ate there twice on our trip because DD14 really likes the coleslaw - of all things! LOL. It was sad to finally get up from our seats and leave the restaurant for the last time. Cast members we talked to were sad too, they will be relocated to other restaurants in the parks. We did see them turn people away without reservations when we were waiting for our table around 5:15 pm but on the way out, there was a very long line for walk ups.
