Big Thunder Ranch BBQ

On our trip in July we ate there and absolutely loved it. There was no entertainment but the food was phenominal. Best ribs I've ever eaten and our ribs and chicken bowl was never empty. Great service.

Thanks for posting. What time of day did you visit when there was no entertainment?

I love this place!

The cole slaw is so good! Actually everything is very tasty. I've eaten here several times and always had great service. There has always been a lady singing and a guy playing the piano when I've been.

Another vote for Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. I'm hooked. The meat just falls off the ribs, and I love their sausage. Beans are good, and cornbread is super yummy. It's one of my must dos.

We love big thunder bbq! Everything is really delsih! My honey especially loves the chicken! We always get fast service, and never have to wait for refills on anything! :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the reviews. We are doing this on our next trip with a large family and even though it is pricey is seems like a good deal for a bunch of rib loving meat eaters.:)

We are also considering for our big group; 6 adults and 3 children. I agree that it seems like a good deal with entertainment and unlimited meat.

For those that have already been, will it be ok for the kids to get up and move around? Are they invited to participate in the entertainment? I am hoping that since the venue has picnic tables, the setting will be more informal.

Thanks for all the info! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

This sounds really good..I'm thinking about going during our trip coming up. I was wondering what is the difference (if anything) between lunch and dinner?? Thanks :goodvibes

we ate there at noon.

You ate at noon in peak season and had no entertainment? I've never heard of that......the entertainers do take breaks but every time we've eaten there we've had some type of entertainment. They take 15 minute breaks every 20-30 minutes or so.

It's not just unlimited meat, it's unlimited EVERYthing!!!! I LOVE the cole slaw and we get at least 2 (usually 3) bowls of that to share. LOL DBF really likes the beans so we usually get a couple of bowls of those as well.

The kids are invited to participate in the entertainment yes, it's usually very adorable! :) And the guitar player/singer will wander and sing as we walks thru the tables, he will stop and sing at tables randomly or if he sees a first visit, birthday, anniversay, engaged or married button. :) It's definitely very informal!

Are reservations needed for here?

Not always, but we've seen them turn people away. We don't usually have a reservation when we eat there, we generally just walk up and wait about 15-30 minutes, but we have been asked to come back later when it wasn't as busy. That was fine with us, we prefer it less busy.

We were last Thursday at 1900, we had reservation, the wait time, stated by the was an hour. I watched people sitting on bench inside inside for lon times.
