Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Refurbishment

Hi there! I've been watching the newly released schedules on the Disneyland website each day and I noticed that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is listed as closed for refurbishment on August 14th and 15th. I googled but can't find any information on it. Does anybody know when it's scheduled to reopen? Thanks!

Nooooo! Our first park day is 8/15 and BTMRR is by far our favorite ride at WDW and the one that is most associated with Disney in my mind, so getting to ride the DL version was high high high on our list. I'll keep my fingers crossed this is a quickie cleanup as we'll be back in the parks the next week...

Ruh roh. Hope it's not long too, as we're there Sept 17-21 and my husband missed BTMRR on our WDW trip (his first) last year due to refurb!! Would hate for him to miss it on both coasts, as it's a top-tier ride and I've told him so.

It's on the Disneyland website when you look at attractions by day. It only goes out six weeks, so today they just released 8/16, which also has it listed as closed for refurbishment.

I was hoping my Googling skills just weren't up to par or somebody here had heard a rumor about it. :-( Crossing my fingers it's not down for long!

Thanks. I see where you mean. We're coming 2 weeks later so i assume it'll be open again. I hope it opens back up for part of your trip so you can catch it. It's disappointing when that happens.

Curious why Mark Twain Riverboat is also listed as closed on August, 16th. Seems like Space Mountain might be open, despite hearing other rumours.

Hopefully they fix the cannon, thing only worked for the first couple months after the big refurb and now does nothing..

This would great for me. I've been hoping that the fact that this refurb wasn't announced far ahead of time means it's not expected to be lengthy.
