Big Thunder Fastpass No More?

I am taking my third trip to DL and finally getting to ride Big Thunder Mountain at last! I recently heard that they have discontinued fastpass on this ride. Is this true? If so, what are the lines like, are they as long as Matterhorn for example. I heard this a few days ago but haven't seen anything on this site and thought I would post. Thanks!

This is just a temporary thing until they can get more trains back on.

I would expect very long lines for this attraction since the capacity is WAY down (2 trains vs the 5 they ran before the September Accident)

I was just at Disneyland on 3-29-04 and used a fastpass for Big Thunder. I would definitely recommend using a fastpass if they are available. The standby line was pretty long and people were very irritated with the fastpass people whizzing by.

Why wouldn't they want to ride it?

I think Peter was referring to the accident last year, as well as the recent accident that fortunately occured with no guests on board. A 'somewhat' tongue in cheek commentary on the ride's safety.

When I was there last weekend they had three trains running and were issuing FP's.
