Big Thunder BBQ - Reservation Required

Your point of view may yet turn out to be correct, much the same way that people who preferred the old parking lot to a second gate turned out to be correct when DCA 1.0 opened. But I'm hopeful that when the construction is done you will be able to continue enjoying DLR, including the shorter lines created by the fact that all other visitors to the parks are cramming into Star Wars Land.
I hadn't thought about that. This is a good point!

Calm down there cowboy. Obviously I was being hyperbolic. But, yes, I would rather eat at BTBBQ on my next trip and all trips following over going to Star Wars Land. You can choose to believe that or not but not everyone is obsessed with Star Wars. I would watch a western every day of the week and twice on Sunday before watching Star Wars so I prefer Frontierland and would be one of the few people that would love twice as much Frontierland. And while "ruined everything" is obviously an exaggeration, my next trip will be without BTBBQ, the train, Rivers of America, and will likely have huge construction walls up on the whole Frontierland/New Orleans Square/Critter Country hub. So, yes, it's a big deal for someone who is not excited about an even completed Star Wars Land.

Just want to say that I very much agree with you (so, there's at least two of us)! I was really bummed when I heard BTRBBQ and the petting zoo were going away. Those are two of my most favorite places in the park (and my husband loves them too, and is also disappointed... so there's 3 of us). I like Star Wars, but honestly I feel like it's already represented at the park, and I just don't have an interest in an entire Star Wars land. It just doesn't feel authentic to the Disneyland vibe. Perhaps if it were at CA instead... But at least for me, Disneyland has this nostalgic, old-timey magic. Star Wars may have come out before I was born, but it neither feels old-timey or nostalgic for me.

So glad I am eating there next Friday. I am visiting friends and I told them I really wanted to eat there before it closes so they made a reservation. Might have to try one of the cookie bakes.
