I do the whole breakfast in character - stuff like "Mary, I've been upset that you've not written to me in ever so long", or "Belle, you've got to get your head out of those books and pay attention to more important things - like me".

Will you get the side-eye from some of the other adults there... probably. But I certainly wouldn't let that stop you if it's something you want to go do. I'll admit that I would probably raise an eyebrow, and scroll through various explanations (including a few unsavory ones). It's incredibly sexist and unfair, and I wouldn't jump to any conclusions based on those thoughts, but it would at least pop into my head as a possibility.

But I doubt I would give it too much thought as long as you weren't leering at the princesses, or the kids. It would probably be an inner dialogue more along the lines of, "Huh, is he here alone? That's kinda odd, I wonder why. Hmm... what's on the menu?". Like most people, when I'm out on vacation, I tend not to worry too much about what other people are or aren't doing.

Ditto the other posters... be polite and respectful, and enjoy the magic.

Haha, I don't know, though, I still vividly remember my adjacent tablemates at Crystal Palace 3.5 years ago.

So, now I've got another question. Is it ok to ask for certain "classic" poses for the photos? Like a dance pose with Cinderella?


Or the classic Beauty and the Beast pose with Belle?


Obviously the "classic" pose for Aurora is out, because that would be really creepy and not to mention inappropriate

I think they have a classic pose with male guests. It is standing side by side with her arm in yours. At least, that is the pose I have seen with nearly every princess/guy picture here on the DIS.

First off, I wouldn't say this if you hadn't asked....but....Yeah, I find it incredibly creepy. That's just MY opinion, but to tell you the truth I also find it very odd that adults would ask other adults in costume for their signature.

CRT is pretty cramped from what I recall so I'm doubting there would be room for you to step far away enough from the camera and spread out enough to get that Cinderella dancing pose or even far enough away to get the full body pose for the Belle shot. Sorry.

IMO, what strangers think of a single guy going to a princess meal says a lot more about them than it does about you (that's true of people's thoughts in general). Be respectful and polite and there's absolutely nothing wrong with going (IMO this is true of everybody; I dislike seeing anybody acting in a disrespectful manner so that wasn't directed at OP simply because he's dining alone). You're paying your bill just like everybody else in there and that includes the character interaction. Enjoy your meal and your princess encounter.

I'm trying to figure out what could possibly be creepy about this. Isn't it normal for men to want to be in the presence of pretty women. IMHO, it would be creepy of a single guy wanted to crash one of the events that are for kids only like the Perfectly Princess Tea Party. CRT is a restaurant for all ages. The OP has as much right to eat there as anyone does.
