Big Shout Out to Kizzabel the share buying expert!!!

I just wanted to say a big public THANK YOU to kizzabel for all her wonderful help with regard to buying shares here in Ireland. I was terrified to do it for ages but I managed it in the end and I am now the proud owner of 21 shares in Disneyland Paris!!!

I would also like to thank dlpdaft, funkychick, pokerbanter and anyone else who helped me with the process. I will be eternally grateful.

Given that I was at DLP for the past 3 Christmas seasons I am SO sad that I can't make it this year but whenever I do next go there I will use my shareholders card with pride (mind you I think I'll leave the admin of joining the shareholders club until next week as I'm exhausted after the purchasing of the shares!!)

I really must get round to it sometime too. I did try once years ago, but it was through a UK company & they wouldn't accept my Bank of Ireland account to transfer money (even though it was a sterling account), so I gave up. Maybe I'll have more luck buying using an irish bank account, now that the instuctions are all there for me to follow! Won't get round to it in time for my next trip though, only 2 days to go!

I bought my shares last month but I've still not had anyhting back from the shareholders club - I sent off my form and share proof but I've heard nothing I even e-mailed them last week to ask if everything was OK but no reply Is this normal or should I do something?

I only had a printout of the share stuff but someone said that was OK - I don't think Halifax even provide a hard copy.

Give them a call, they're very helpful over the phone.
I had a similar issue with them last month, but it turned out my email address was blocking the emails from them. I provided them with an alternative email over the phone, and within 10 minutes I had my confirmation number for the shareholders club, and temporary membership certificate, emailed to me .

when I phoned the number I got waht sounded like a personal answerphone I sent them an e-mail from a different account (OK my work one) but I've had no reply

would you be able to call them this afternoon at about 3pm or just afterwards? The shareholders line is manned in French office hours, every time I've called them up to about 4pm midweek I've got an actual person to speak to .

I'm off on Thursday so I'll try them in the morning. I double-checked the number and its definitely the right one, but I did phone them about 2.45 yesterday Maybe it was someone's birthday!

ETA: I phoned this morning, got the answerphone and tried the shareholders booking line to check the numer. They explained the shareholders club number is basically a direct line, so if Louisa is not there you get the answerphone! So I tried agin and got through, and now have my temporary certificate. Lng way round to get it, but thank you very much for your help!
