Big runDisney announcement coming in April

I still think you should go for it. Baby's first marathon!

lol! i would love to still do the marathon but i'm due 11/25 and it's not enough recovery time. 2012 for sure though - if it means i have to keep my legs closed for a year! lol!

OH! :lmao: Congrats!!!

thanks! it's funny how on-line people know before family. i feel like you're not really telling if you're typing it instead of actually saying it. hahah

**************
anyway, someone on facebook said that the THREE men's names would hint at an ironman tri. blah. i hope it's not a tri.

I'm trying to work out an anagram.
The online anagram tools won't work with the # of letters in the clue. Boo.

um...no....not exactly... knocked up ;)

Hi Nancy!

I just had to tell you this...

My ds13 came to us last night and asked if he could ask us a serious question (code for I want you to give me real answer and not judge my question). He asked us if you would say someone who got pregnant who was a grown-up with a husband got knocked up, or was that only for teenage girls? :rotfl: He said, "For instance, if my wife was having a baby, would I tell my friends she was knocked up?" :rotfl2:

I guess I have my answer! But actually I told him that generally for a married lady you usually would say she was expecting or pregnant, knocked up tends to have a negative connotation. This of course sent him to his dictionary to look up "connotation", so more vocabulary was learned :thumbsup2

:rotfl:where did he come up with that question??:rotfl:

i feel that in my case the term knocked up is appropriate because it was a big surprise!

Congratulations! Hey, you never know...you may be one that recovers quickly. I know that there was a lady in the corral with me at the WDW Marathon that had just had a baby around six weeks earlier - but I think she was in the avid runner category it definitely wasn't her first race. I actually saw a few pregnant ladies too which was very surprising because I thought that doctors weren't cool with that. But, I guess it all depends on the individual. Some of us could run a marathon pregnant or right after being pregnant and some of us need the break. If anything, you could walk it!

Either way, it is very exciting and I am sure it will be even more fun to have two kids to bring to WDW! :goodvibes

Congrats on your pregnancy!!

I had experience with both running while pregnant and running immediately after baby. If you were a runner before being pregnant and run while you're pregnant, the marathon is totally possible. It really depends on what you want to do (and if you are ok with a little slower time).

Holy Smolke.....

So I am now PART of these silly clues?!?!?

So what's the answer...

I wondered if Ronald, Arthur, and Charles were the names of people who had guessed correctly based on previous clues. I just have not had the time to look into it.

The spotlight makes me think of Fantasyland expansion. That is what the "spotlight" will be on next year.

Clue #9

So glad that there will only be one more of these nonsensical seemingly meaningless "clues" left.

Congrats dumbo_buddy!!! :goodvibes we'll miss you at the princess tho!

Jessprincess:

thanks! i'll miss the princess. had SUCH a great time this past year! 2013 for sure!

i have not been running the past couple of weeks due to nausea but i have been exercising (elliptical, etc). i plan on running though once the morning sickness passes.

i'm sure if i pushed it i could do the marathon. but it just doesn't make sense to lug my husband, 2.5 year old, and a 5 week old nursing baby down to florida for a marathon that i wouldn't be completely prepared for. it's alot of money to not be totally happy with my training. plus, it'll give me a great goal for 2013! i'm not an avid runner and my doctor doesn't want me back exercising in a big way until 6 weeks post partum.

but if we could figure out what this new race is i could maybe even do that! i'm hoping it's in may or something which would give me some more time (and hopefully more sleep!).

i wonder how long AFTER clue #10 comes out will they actually tell us the race! they could sit on those clues for a while before they spill.

Thanks! only one more...thank goodness...wonder how long they will wait after #10 to actaully tell us though!!!

I'm wondering too. Hopefully we won't have to wait later than this weekend :cool1:

Lord, no. No reason to push yourself. Enjoy your precious baby and give your body a rest from such hardcore training.
Congratulations

Congrats, dumbo_buddy!

As for the latest clue...
Ronald is throwing me off, but there have been numerous Prince Arthurs and of course Prince Charles. Granted, King Arthur is the more famous title.
I feel like this clue points to a prince/princess connection - whether it's a relay or what.
I couldn't find any historically famous Ronalds, just Ronald Reagan and Ronald McDonald, which I can't imagine have anything to do with this clue. One source says Ronald is a Scottish name, which brings us back to the Scot connection. The name meaning is "ruler's counselor" or "well-advised ruler," so it does have that royal connection.

This was on the runDisney page, which I think is a good hint that it's a tri at D-land.

"The 3 emcees for the TV show on the opening day of Disneyland in 1955 were Ronald Reagan, Art Linkletter and Bob/Charles Cummings.

Hmm, interesting. Of course all it could mean is that it is a May event since DL opened in May.

I'm really just waiting for the announcement. It is obvious at this point that they gave clues that only tell us something after the fact. These weren't good clues in the least as good clues by this point would have had nearly 100% of those paying attention able to guess the majority of the event. It is like playing 20 questions with someone who picks impossible to guess vague answers and is just as infuriating. If this guessing game were an 8th grade science project they'd get an F for execution.

Tell me the race so I know whether I'm interested in doing it or not.

I'm pretty sure Disneyland opened in July.
