Big Rumor Here About Bob, The New Bachelor

I couldn't believe when I heard on the radio today that the girls who signed up for the next installment of the BACHELOR are furious that the "chosen one" is Bob! They were expecting another millionnaire like Firestone! They are dropping like flies, and the show can't replace them fast enough! One girl was quoted as saying, "I flew all the way cross country to meet a mortgage broker?" The studio also told him that he is still too fat & put him on a crash diet to loose 45 more pounds!

That's strange...on the After the Final Rose episode Bob looked slim to me. Also, on The View Chris Harrison (the host of the Bachelor) said they had a huge response of applications after Bob was announced. It could be just a rumor, you never know.

It could be true. I could see women dropping out because the guy isn't rich. That just has to be better for Bob in the long run.

It could also be just media hype. Trying to get all the attention they can.

I'd love to be on the Bachelor with Bob ~ I thought he was adorable and what a personality! They want him to loose 45 more pounds?! He's a big guy if he looses 45 more pounds he'll be a skeleton.
BTW, have you seen the application for being a "bachelorette"? You have to have all these psychological tests done, a physicians release, the whole nine yards....I say whoever he ends up with will be a lucky girl!

I'm with Mickeysmom! I think Bob is such a cutie-pie . As far as the girls dropping out because he isn't rich, well good riddance. At least we won't have to look at them when we watch the show.

Well, the women competing for The Bachelor have never been known for how deep they are.

Lets face it, most of these women are NOT looking for love and marriage and babies and grandbabies. The majority are goldiggers on parade, hoping to be seen and noticed, and make big bucks in the process.

Amen to that -- makes his choices that much easier. Heck, if they only find 20 women who want to be on the show, so be it -- as long as it's 20 women who actually want the chance to get to know this guy (as Snoopy said, you know quite a few women from the past shows were not that interested in the guy himself, millionaire or not).

I think Bob is a cutie! Please don't let them force him to drop anymore weight.. he looked thin on the "after the final rose" show. He has a great smile, beautiful eyes and one hec of a personality! Full of quirks I am sure...
I am hoping they find some great women for him to choose.

Personally, I am glad they put the women thru a series of tests before putting them on the show. It is a high stress situation to say the very least. I wonder if they get a "***** quotient" when they figure up these tests? cause some of these girls are plain old.. mean...

It took me a long time to watch The Bachelor Series.. and I don't watch it faithfully as I still have a hard time with the show's concept... You know "the man" getting to pit women against one another just for him... but I will watch with Bachelor Bob as I just think he seems like a really nice fella.

That shows what type of people *most* of the girls are that go on these shows...they either want the fame to start their careers or they're worried about the money. I hope Bob finds someone that really cares for him...he seemed like a really nice guy.

I thought Bob was great. I'm not surprised to hear some of the girls are mad due to the fact that Bob isn't rich. I agree that he's better off not wasting his time getting to know them. As for his weight, I think he looks fine. The 1st bachelor was too skinny.

izzy, my Mom said the twinkle in my Dad's eyes is what attracted her to him initially! They were married for 61 years and are still dancing together in heaven!
