Can anyone tell me about the Big River Grille and Brewing Works at the Boardwalk? We're looking for a casual, but tasty dinner for 2 sisters. The menu sounds good over on Deb Wills' site, but how is the atmosphere? Any bad experiences? Good experiences?

We ate there in feb and it was much better then previous visits. I had a sirloin strip and the others had salads and we were all full and pleased. Beer is pretty good too.

We ate a late lunch there a few years ago and it wasn't bad. But then we ate dinner there about two years ago and it was horrible. The food wasn't that great and the staff sure wasn't Disney trained. I might try a late lunch again - not crowded so service might be better. When it's crowded, service lacks a bit.

We ate dinner there on the 18th and thoguth it was good. The beer was great and so was the service. I wouldn't make a special trip there but for last minute it was perfect. I don't know about the atmosphere inside, we sat out on the boardwalk which was perfect.

We just stumbled upon it for lunch one day and really enjoyed it. It is a very casual atmosphere. I had a cheeseburger and it was the best I've had. Didn't get a chance to try thr beer. It was too early in the day...but I think it is a cute place for adults. I don't think kids would enjoy it too much

We've tried it a few times & have enjoyed it each & every time. We've eaten both outside & inside. Depending on the weather, I prefer outside.

It's a relaxing, casual atmosphere. Of course, I love the Boardwalk area, so that's make it more enjoyable for me also. :)

Thanks everyone. I think we'll give it a try. :D

They make their own. I tried the "sampler" - you get a couple of ounces of each of their own-brewed 6 beers.

I am not a huge beer drinker, but my father and brothers like to make their own and each tries to outdo the other in bringing new and different small brewery beers back from wherever they travel for family parties (which occur monthly in our big family), so I have had exposure a many good and unusual beers. I wouldn't make a special trip to Big River, but it was fun to sit on the patio and watch the evening entertainment while enjoying the beer sampler.

Does anyone recall how much the samplers are??? we had them last visit and I could not rem. I am trying to budget for when we leave. Thanks!!!!

I wanted to add...

I liked the big grille. My husband and I found it very relaxing especially, as MELSMICE said, outside!!! I think it is best to go (if it is not too packed) later in the day near sunset.
