We want to try a restaurant that we've never been to on this trip, and we're trying to decide between Big River Grille & Brewing Works and the Grand Floridian Cafe. We have a 5 year old, so I'm not sure what would be the best environment for her. (Is the GF Cafe super quiet?) How's the food at both? Help me decide! :goodvibes

From July 9th till Oct. 1 Grand Floridian Grill will be closed an hosting the Character Dining from 1900 Fair. I called today and tried to make a reservation there. Not sure when your going, but im bummed we cant eat there.

Of the two, I'd say GFC. Big River doesn't knock our socks off, and aside from the house brews, doesn't offer anything (foodwise) really unique or special. And, since BRG doesn't take ADR's (unless you call the restaurant directly), you would have a decent chance of just hitting it one day when you're in that area, or as a last minute choice.

We're going in May. Is it a good place for children?
