Hey guys and gals, I have been searching to see if Big River Grille at the Boardwalk Resort is on the Dining Plan, but haven't had any luck. I know that they do not take reservations thru the Disney website but I heard that I can call the restaurant itself 30days out and make reservations. Can anyone tell me if they accept the Dining Plan?

We've never eaten here before so any reviews & food porn pics would be helpful too. Thanks all.

They are on the dining plan. its 1 TS. never ate there, but I am thinking about it next week!

It gets mixed reviews here on the DIS.
We have eaten there a few years ago and we enjoyed our dinners. It certainly is not "gourmet" food, but it was good pub food.
I would return

Every restaurant (except V&A) gets mixed reviewe here. I happen to like Big River very much and would recommend it, but I would even more strongly recommend trying a place you have never been to and deciding for yourself whether you like it or not.

We HATED it and will not be returning. Terrible service, food was cold and not very good, and we felt like we could get better at a local chain. Nothing special for us.

For us there are alot of more unique options around the world that would have been a better choice.... dh still doesn't get a break about pushing to eat here...

It's not my ideal pick but we are on Free Dining that week and need a restaurant that will honor the Dining Plan. That day is our DHS day and we're already eating at 50's Prime Time earlier in the week, we've done Sci Fi before and although we havent tried Mama Melrose and are looking for a new dining experience, everyone in our group wanted to try and go out of the park for this TS meal. I suggested a nearby resort and Boardwalk is one of them. We've done ESPN Grill before and were not impressed and Big River Grille looks to be the only other restaurant that is only worth 1TS Credit. Kouzzina sounds wonderful but is 2TS credits. Any other suggestions??? The kids always like to ride the boats too. What about Swan or Dolphin, they are on that boat route too and we've never been to these resorts at all???Any good restaurants there?

I would suggest the Cape May Cafe over Big River Grille. The boats stop at the Swan and Dolphin, the Yacht and Beach Club, and the Boardwalk. We had the Big River Grille on our last trip and I was very disappointed in this one. The food left much to be desired. I had the ribs, my hubby had the steak and shrimp, and my mom had the meatloaf. Not one of the best places. Enjoy your trip!

Kouzzina is not and never has been two TS credits. It's a one-credit restaurant.

The restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin do not accept the Disney Dining Plan (the Swan and Dolphin are not Disney resorts).
